Silas, Adelynn & Christmas Stamp/Die Cards~ Blue Knight Stamps

Hi there!
I will be Guest Designing with Blue Knight Stamps, for
the month of March, using stamps and coordinating dies
from the recent release. Today I'm sharing two cards using the
NEW Silas, Adelynn & Christmas red rubber stamp and die.
Such a fun one!

Before I started creating the cards I cut out all my elements and then
stamped them.  I colored both trees with Distressed Oxide inks and
dabbed acrylic paint on the Christmas ornaments.  Wink of Stella
was added for some shimmer.  This was done for both cards.

I used the Pines & Deer set, stamped with black ink and
then attached the decorated tree to the card front. The bird is
from the Birds ll set and the sentiment is from the
Reverse Sentiments.  The deer was added and then the card
front was speckled with white acrylic paint.

The second card is created using the Mixed Media 2 Designer paper
along with The Pier Stamp.  The pier is colored using panpastels.
The children and tree are colored with Distress Oxide inks.
All images are attached using dimensional adhesive.  The
bird is from the Birds ll set and the sentiment is from the
Reverse Sentiments set.

Joy Clair and Leisure Arts ~ cards!!

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today!
I am also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.
So fun to create with awesome stamps and some awesome markers:)

I'm here with some cards using the newly released stamp sets by Joy Clair called Crystal Background and You're A Gem.  These sets were made to go together and have a ton of sparkle potential.

The same unique, pretty crystal stones were used in both sets and ready to be all glittered up.  We are also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers  by Leisure Arts.

The markers were scribbled on a non stick surface and sprayed with a small amount of water.  The paper (mixed media) was dabbed in the ink from the markers.  I kept adding different colors, drying with a heat tool after each color.  Once the background was created stencils were added for dimension and interest.  The gem stones were stamped out and dabbed with ink from the markers.  The cut out gemstone images were glazed with a glitter pen an adhered to the card front.  The sentiment was added along with some small clear rhinestones. The card front was matted on  gray cardstock and then a folded card.

Both these cards are created using the same techniques.  The images are stamped out on backgrounds created using the dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.  The stencil work is giving the impression of negative verses positive impression but actually it is a dark plum ink on light paper and then dark paper.  The gemstone images were cut out and glittered with the Wink Of Stella pen/clear, giving the gemstones the sparkle that we all love.  The sentiments were stamped out and added to each card. The cards were speckled with black ink (first card) and white ink (second card).  To complete the cards, the card fronts were adhered to a folded card.

July Tag with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with my July tag with Clear Scraps.   I used a couple of the chipboard embellishments, along with an acrylic tag, to create a festive 4th of July tag.

Clear scraps_july tag_chipboard_c.mercer
Remove the plastic film from both sides of the acrylic tag before creating your project.  Adhere pattern paper to the back of the tag using Zip Dry by Beacon.  Layer pattern paper, journal cards and stickers on the front of the tag (directly on the acrylic) and adhere with Zip Dry or use dimensional adhesive.  Shade around the tag with ink.  Add ribbon or twine to the top.  Finish embellishing with buttons and rhinestones.

Clear scraps_july tag_chipboard2_c.mercer

Last step, paint the chipboard pieces (the star and the 4th of July word piece) using acrylic paint. Red for the word embellishment and yellow for the star. Let dry and adhere to the front of the tag.  Use Wink of Stella/clear to add sparkle to the star and word embellishment.  The tag is ready to tape to a big watermelon and enjoy!!

Cards and Seashells~

HI guys!
I have a couple of cards to share, using the Seashells by Darkroom Door.
A favorite stamp set of mine, at the moment.  I also pulled out an oldie but
goody from way back ~ Autumn Leaves, who remembers them?

My inspiration for these cards was a sandy beach, with a pop of color.  The shells being the pop of color.  The large shells are stamped on white cardstock and cut out.  The background is created with the Shells Background stamp by Darkroom Door.

The sentiments are stamped on white cardstock and trimmed out.  The stamps are by Autumn Leaves, I'm thinking around 2009 ~2010 when I bought them.  I have never used them until today ~ so glad I did.  Such a fun font!!!

Supplies used:
Darkroom Door: Seashells, Seaside inchies and Shells Background stamp
Autumn Leaves: Script set
Ink: Ranger
twine
Wink of Stella (for sparkle)
S.E.I. ( Black Tumble dye for splats)

Tag set created with stencils by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a cute tag/card set using the 6" stencils by Clear Scraps.  Take out some scrap pieces of cardstock, ink and stencils and that will get you started.

Clear scraps_stencils_c.mercer
The cards are 4"X 4".  There are 6 cards in the set. Each card is stenciled with a nautical image from the Ocean Friends and Beach Fun stencils by Clear Scraps.  I used different color of inks for a fun look.  Each card is decorated with Sequins by Clear Scraps. See steps taken in photo below.

Clear scraps-tutorial-stencils-c.mercer
I also stenciled a 5" X 7" muslin bag to hold the card set in.  It made a really cute gift.

Clear scraps_cards_c.mercer
The card fronts were popped up with dimensional adhesive.   Easy project but does take time to complete all the fronts and stencil the bag.  The background of the bag is sprayed with colored ink spray for added color.

Try It Tuesday~more Book Stack Photo Stamp by Darkroom Door!

Hi guys!
Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday!
I have another idea for you using the Book Stack Photo Stamp
by Darkroom Door.

Book plates for the inside of that special book or for your home library.

Stamp the Book Stack stamp on white cardstock with different colors of ink.  Trim them out and
adhere the book plate, to the inside of the book you are wanting the label.

I really like the look of the book plate on a well loved book.

Stamp the "clip" on the top of the Book Stack image.  Trim out.   Stamp the To: and From: on the Book Stack image in black Archival ink.  Stamp the word "read." from the Sensational/Quote on white cardstock and trim it out. Adhere to the top of the Book Stack.  Use double sided tape to adhere on the inside cover of a book.
Great way to use the Book Stack stamp while adding a personal touch to a gift.
