Photo Stamp~ Eiffel tower

Hi, Connie here,  with a fun, easy, project using the Photo Stamp/Eiffel Tower and the Quote Stamp/Sensational.

All you need is a couple little notebooks like these.  I didn't buy anything, just used what I had on hand.

I stamped the image on some cardstock and used my Ranger inks, to add some color. I then glued the piece  to the front of the notebook.  I added some twine and a button.  I highlighted the word journal from the Quote stamp for the label on the front.

I stamped the inside with the same Quote stamp/Sensational, I used to snag the word journal from.
I hope you enjoyed this project.  A great teacher gift!!! Take a look in the store at the fabulous stamps!!

Bo Bunny Bonus~

Hi guys~this is the bonus layout for my last weeks class at Craft Crossing.  If you take any of my classes I always try to have a bonus project {my gift to you}!!!!  The paper is by Bo Bunny.  I used embellishments by Queen & Co. and Bo Bunny.

The thing is, I use up all the scrap paper that was not used on the class project.  Sometimes I do a card or craft project too.   I love using up all the extra pieces of paper~no waste here.

Here they are side by side.  I think it makes a super cute double layout.

The Collins Rep Group Convention is coming up this week and I'm looking forward to taking many, many classes.  I'm going to meet a blogger friend also.  Looking forward to that.

Clear Scraps~back to school clips!!

Hi guys~
I'm up over on Clear Scraps with these cute school days clips!! I used the acrylic shaped stars from Clear Scraps along with Graphic45 school papers.  The back of the clips have a magnet and a cloths pin.  I clipped them to these note pads but you can also use them as refrigerator magnets, for the kid's school papers.
Hope you will stop by the ClearScraps Blog~

Try It Tuesday~Pop 'n Cut cards, so fun!!!!!

Remember the class I took at Craft Crossing with Karen Burniston~these are the cards we made.  I'm going to show you four today and four next week~so let's get going for:

I don't know the names of the paper's we used, I'm going to be lucky to explain the Sizzix dies that were used, so hang in there with me.  This much I do know~these are addicting to make:):)
 no.#1
no.#2
no.#3
no.#4
I love how it all works together~what I mean by that is,  the older Sizzix die's can be used as the pop out or pop up part.  The embossing folders can be used to add texture to the fronts of the cards and the Sizzix Decorative strip's come in very handy when you want to add a dangling piece.

If you can think it up~you can make it work!!!
Have fun with these!!!!

Hi, Connie here with a creative tag.  I'm using one of the new Quote stamps/ Creativity.  I got way out of my comfort zone on this one, but it was worth it.   I used inks and mists by Ranger.  The Butterfly is one of the new Eclectic stamps.  I also used the Polka Dots /Background stamp also.

Not sure what to say about the old paint brush, just thought it belonged.  It is such a part of creating.
Be sure and check out all the new stamps in the store~good stuff in there!!

Another apron~Mama-Nell style!

Hi guys~another version of the carpenter's apron.  My mother-in-law surprised me and made this one from her hubby's stash!!!   I love how she did it and most of all, the blue lettering.  She is going to put her's on the back of a chair, too.  It will hold the TV remote and magazines.
Very cool!!!!

I glued mine with hot glue. This one is sewed on the machine.  Don't you love her handmade flowers?  Love them!!!! Keep em' coming girls and I will put them on my blog!!!

Try It Tuesday~ more carpenter's aprons!!

Hi guys~I thought for Try It Tuesday I would tell you how to make these craft aprons using the carpenters aprons you can find at Home Depot, Lowe's etc.

Trim by Bo Bunny, on this one. The flowers are by Prima.  The skirt is from antique trim, I think it is some kind of bed shirt material.

This one has more Prima, and trims.

This one has a Canvas Corp flower on it . It can be left on or on.  More Prima.

These are what they look like~If you notice the one from Home Depot is orange in the center of the apron.
*I used beige ( off white) acrylic paint and painted over that area so it would not show through.
*Find you some vintage material or what you like .  *You will need twice the width to make the skirt part. * Stitch a running stitch ( loose stitch, so you can gather the fabric)  at the top of the skirt.
*Hot glue the skirt to the bottom of the apron.
*Use flowers, trim, buttons, flair ~ to decorate.
*You can use stamps, mists, acrylic paint to add color to the apron itself.
*I used Staz-On ink when I stamped. *The stamp I used is by Dyan Reaveley
**************************************
If you make one I would love to see it. You can link it up when I do Gone Junkin' Friday (first friday of the month) in October:):)
I can't believe I'm going to say this~if you like the vintage material I used, I'm willing to share.  I'll send you enough to make the skirt and do a square in the middle.  I'll start with 5 peeps. Email me~Re: material

Clear Scraps and Bo Bunny~

Hi guys~this is a quick post using Clear Scraps and Bo Bunny.
This was one of my submissions to the Design Team call for Clear Scraps.
I loved the Bo Bunny and only had pieces left to work with.  Just goes to show you can make something from small pieces of paper:):)
The acrylic pieces are the star, the 3 frames and the border.  To add color to the acrylic I used alcohol inks by Ranger.

I loved how the award badge turned out, using the Tim Holtz Sizzix die and { just for fun} the milk cap.  I also added some ,cool, ephemera to the badge.

Stay tuned~
You won't want to miss it!!!

Clear Scraps ~ sprucing up an acrylic border!

Hi guys~this is my second project for Clear Scraps.  I have a tutorial up on the Clear Scraps blog on sprucing up the acrylic border.  I also used the "brick wall" stencil to add a pattern to the upper L corner and lower R corner.  The  paper used is by Graphic 45.
Zip Dry by Beacon was used to adhere the border to the punched out squares and the cardstock.

There are tons of ideas for the acrylic embellishments~most of the time you can treat it just like a paper embellishment:):)

Avocado Arts~Stuck On You!!!

Hi stampers~how about some pop-up cards using this months super, fabulous stamp set called Stuck On You!  You are going to love it!!

Look at all of those cute images and the detail, just want you need, for pop-up cards.
For my first card I used the bicycle and built the card around that.   With a pop-up card it is what is on the inside that counts the most:):)

I used "enjoy the ride" for the sentiment.  It is on the inside and  the front of the card.
My second card~ I used the pin wheels, and made a banner from the bottom of the ice cream cone. I loved working with the washi tape image.  It looks so real~

The sentiment used " you BLOW me away" ~
My third pop-up card used the ice cream cones. I stamped them on white cardstock and colored the cone with Copic markers.

The sentiment on this card says " Thanks for being so SWEET "~
Loved this set.  So many great details that are perfect for this.  Great job Avocado Arts!!! Another winner!!  Thanks for stopping by!! cm

Eclectic Stamps~ Butterfly and Lamp Post

Hi, Connie here with a couple of cards using the new Eclectic Stamp/Butterfly.

I love that the, extra large, Butterfly will fit right in with the other two Butterfly sets, Wings and Butterflies.

I used some mists and inks by Ranger and the background stamp is called Numbers by Darkroom Door.

I made a scrapbooking page using this, very cool, Lamp Post stamp.

I stamped the lamp post out on Kraft cardstock several times, cut it out and pop dotted it to my page. Love how it came out and look it gives the page. Thanks for stopping by!!
