A look back at 2014~

Hi guys!!
I'm looking back at the year 2014 and wanted to share a few of my favorite projects.  My style continues to change and I'm always looking for new things to try ~ keeps crafting interesting.
So what do you think~
I loved creating these for The Curtsery Boutique.

This was done for Darkroom Door and it still is favorite of mine.  These
photo's were taken at her request.

This was done for Clear Scraps on acrylic. Love the look of acrylic.

These were done for Avocado Arts.  Loved the sassy sentiments. Went perfect
with this Graphic45 paper.

This one just for fun!

I had started stamp carving ~ so need to get back to that.
Hope you enjoyed a look back at, some of, what I created in 2014.

New stamps (to me) by Darkroom Door!

Hi guys!!
I have a card to share using some new (to me) Darkroom Door stamps I bought
at Craft Crossing over the weekend.

I usually start with a background stamp and then create and build from that.  On this card I stamped the image on watercolor paper.  The leaves and the flower too.
Love the texture it added to the card.

Speckled the card with watered down acrylic black paint and a toothbrush.  Gives great results.
The sets I used are by Darkroom Door. You can find them HERE.
Stamps used: Carved Leaves Vol.2, Happy Birthday, Stitched Borders, Wood Grain Background Stamp,  Chevron Texture Stamp and Daisy Eclectic Stamp.

The books are a junkin' find from Indiana ~ $10.  They are from the Indianapolis Public Library.
Pretty cool if you ask me!!

Always Yours by S.e.i.

Hi, guys!
It is my turn on S.e.i.
I have a Candy Box makeover with the help of Always Yours by S.e.i., a paper collection that is gorgeous!!  It reminds me of vintage wall paper and I love that.  See what you think~

I started with a candy box from a trip of ours.  I kept it because it reminded me of  vintage candy boxes. The kind that candy was put in when you purchased each candy separately. Those were extra special. Lots of love added to those candies.

I started creating with the Bright paper dollies by S.e.i.  Flowers were cut from the Always Yours collection and added to build a cluster of flowers and ivy.  Bits and pieces from the Always Yours sundries were added also.  The sweet sticker is from the Always Yours page titles.

I wanted the box to hold some candy and homemade cookies.  I thought it would be a nice touch to add the cookie recipe on the inside of the box lid.

Pretty paper is great place to start when tackling a makeover project and
Always Yours by S.e.i. was perfect for this makeover.

Try It Tuesday~cleaning a Brayer!

Hi guys!
Remember these~

The watercolor paper was used to clean the paint off of the brayer
before picking up another color, when using the Gel Press.
  It was suggested at the
class to make cards from them,
so with the help of some Darkroom Door stamps I made five note cards.

All of the images are stamps by Darkroom Door.

Kinda of cool!!!
This was the Mixed Media class with Cheryl Boglioli at Craft Crossing that
I took a couple of weeks ago.  It was so fun and I learned some new tricks :)
Glad I didn't toss them!!

See ya soon~

February Club Q Kit with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here ready to share with you this months Club Q Kit.  The kits are amazing and so beautiful.  The Chiffon Collection is gorgeous!!!  Here is Project #1~

I used the Premier Page kit with the Accordion Book Kit.  The page is mounted on the Kraft cardstock that comes in the kit. Here is how I did the book~

Start off by cutting the paper into strips, then adhere the ends together.  Once that is done you will get an accordion effect  Adhere pages 2 & 3 together and 4 & 5 together.  You now have the booklet for the scrapbook page.

Here is a look at Project #2~
This one is the Flip Book. Very pretty and so many ways you can use this.  This one is going to hold my collection of quotes, along with a few photos.

I really love the front, so pretty and inviting!!!  Here is a couple pictures on how that came together~

The mesh trim is inked with Quick Quote's PowderPuff Chalk Ink and stapled to the pattern paper.
The Flip Book comes 24 plastic sleeves.  The pattern paper was cut 4"x 6" and slipped in the sleeves.

Looking like this~

Using the scraps from these two project, I was able to make a set of cards~
Project #3

The card set~ simple and cute!!

Canvas Art with S.e.i..~

Hi, Connie here with Canvas Art using the Glimmering Boughs Collection and the Glitter Tumble Dye by S.e.i.
The pattern paper was a perfect match for these deer photos that were captured at the deer feeder last year.  You can see the deer horns prominently in the photos, my hubby especially liked that.

The paper was adhered to the canvas, the edges were sanded and speckled with Glitter Tumble Dye.
The photos were arranged and the decorative border added, also found in the Glimmering Boughs Collection.

The flowers are from the Glimmering Boughs embellishment pack.  The center of the flowers are Gold Glitter Dots by S.e.i.  They are so easy to use, just stick. Can't get any easier than that.

This paper pack worked so well with these photos and it wasn't even a holiday event.
