Treasures From The Sea Tag with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a chipboard sea shell tag using the new Fan-Shells chipboard embellishments by Clear Scraps.  The chipboard pieces can be inked, painted and embossed, to add color to the chipboard.  These are embossed.

Clear Scraps_tag1_sea shell_c.mercer
The tag is a chipboard tag by Clear Scraps and covered with pattern paper.   The sea shells were inked with Distress Oxide and embossed with clear gloss embossing powder.  Very easy and the look, the embossing technique gives the shells, makes them appear to have been plucked off the beach.  Love the look!!!

Clear Scraps_tag2_sea shell_c.mercer
The Distress Oxide inks give the chipboard a light and dark effect, once the chipboard is embossed.  Twine was added and then a couple of real sea shells to the center of the bow.  Text stickers were added also.  Tags are great for gift bags or to tie around a treat.  These are from the new release in January!

Supplies used:
Clear Scraps: chipboard tag and chipboard Fan-shells embellishment
Beacon
other: pattern paper, stickers, twine and small sea shells

Flour De Shaker by Clear Scraps.

Hi, Connie here with a gift idea using the Flour De Shaker by Clear Scraps.   Using an extra large tag and the Flour De Shaker, a super cute tag/card was made and even doubled as a gift.  Let me show you what I mean~

    Clear scraps_Flour de shaker_gift card_c.mercer
This is the front of the tag,  decorated with pattern paper and stickers.  To make the fold in the tag, find the center of the tag and score two lines , one on each side of the center guide. About a 1/2" space will work great for the shaker to have space. The background is acrylic paint splatted on with an old toothbrush. My favorite way to add color randomly to a background card or tag.  Here is a few step out photos of how the Flour De Shaker by Clear Scraps came together.

    Clear scraps_Flour De Shaker_sequins_c.mercer
Trace the shape of the Flour De on pattern paper and cut it out.  Small nail scissors work great for this.  Use Beacon 3-1 to adhere the pattern paper to the back  shaker chipboard piece. Add sequins to the inside, of the shaker, and glue on the frame and acrylic piece.  Remember to remove the plastic from the Flour De  shape.  Use a small paint brush and paint the front frame with acrylic beige paint.  The sides  were also painted .  When the paint is good and dry, the Flour De Shaker is ready to be adhered to the inside of the tag.

Paisley Layer Stencil ~ Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a tag using the new Paisley Stencil that has layers.  You can go crazy adding the layers while having tons of fun.

    Paisley overlay_c.mercer

I created a step out of how the tag was created.

    Jan tag

I started with StazOn inks,  picked colors that looked good together.
I used a chipboard tag by Clear Scraps and applied Gesso to it.  Let it dry.
I applied the ink with a makeup sponge.   Start with the open images.
After you have your images stenciled on the chipboard tag, in random places, add the line work over the images.
To add color to the chipboard word "create" ~ use the StazOn ink with the same applicator.
    Easy and fun!!!

A Shaker Angel tag with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a great idea for a Holiday gift tag, and an added bonus~ a Christmas ornament. Yes, two functions in one.  I used the new Mini Shaker Angel by Clear Scraps! Beautifully designed  and easy to create with.

    Angel tag1

I used several stencils to create a background on the large black tag.  Using white acrylic paint, a sponge and the Snowflake border and the 6" Imagine stencil by Clear Scraps the background was created.  The Shaker Angel was created using pattern paper, acrylic paint and sequins (for the inside of the Shaker Angel).  Very simple, just glue the pieces together making a frame, then glue the back on after the shaker has been filled with sequins, as in my example.

    Angel tag2

These are really fun and Clear Scraps has different Shaker's to choose from.  Great for family crafting night!!
