Fireman Silhouette Stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
Today is my turn to share two cards I created
using the newly released Fireman stamp
by Blue knight Rubber Stamps. There are a series of six
silhouette stamps of this nature. Very cool!!!!

Card #1
I did a mixed media type background, for this card, using
Distress Oxide inks. A stencil was added for the checker
board effect. The images were stamped using a platform, so
I could re-stamp.  I love a dark image. Stars were added from
the God Bless America set.  I used acrylic paint but ink will work also
to color them.  The sentiment is from the Mini Greetings 1 set.

Card #2
I had fun creating a background using the checkboard stencil and
the fire engine from the set.  I stamped with Archival Geranium Red
and used a black marker to color in the wheels on the fire engine.
The remaining images were stamped out, trimmed out and added to
the card front. The sentiment is embossed  with white embossing powder.
Both cards are adhered with adhesives by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

coffee/tea loving peeps!!!
I will be creating with this very fun stamp called "Coffee Makes Me"
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
Really cute sentiment on this one!!!
The background, of the card, was created with Distress Oxide ink.  The ink was
watered down and used like watercolors.  The Brick Wall stencil was added with
Archival ink.  The focal image was stamped on mixed media paper,
colored and trimmed out.  The coffee cup was added to the card front with
3D Foam Adhesive.  The sentiment was added to the card front.

Regal Deer by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using newly released
stamp called Regal Buck by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
I really love this stamp because we had a deer, on our place, that we
called the "old man" but Regal Deer would have been fitting
for him.  In his prime he was "Regal"!!
Card #1~
I stared with a mixed media background for this card.  I love how it came out ~ looks
 pretty "Regal" to me!

I started off by stamping image, using the misti so I could stamp
several times getting a strong outline of the deer

The stamped image was run trough the inks and heat dried. I used
three different colors of ink. Repeat the process until you get the
desired background.  You actually are layering colors of ink.
The sentiment was stamped out and color was added in the
same manner.  To complete the card, mat the card front on
coordinating cardstock and adhere to a folded card.  Add twine and
 a small button.

Card #2~

This background was created using ink and stencils.  I really love it!!
Before I could stencil, I created a mask so the deer would not get stenciled over.

When I was done with the mask I taped to the back of the stamp set,
ready for me to use again.  Clever, right!!
I used Archival ink for the stenciling.  The deer is colored in with watered
down Distress Oxide ink.  It works just like watercolors!!

To create the label for the card, I used the word EPIC form
the Zach and Marley set along with a label punch.  To
complete the card adhere to cardstock and then a folded card.
Adhere the label with 3D Foam Squares for dimension.
Would love to see you join us over on the

3D Christmas Poinsettia Card with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today!!
I'm sharing a card I created using the 3D Christmas Poinsettia stamp
set by Joy Clair I really love the 3D effect.  Tons of dimension!
The background, for the card, is Distress Oxides watered down and dabbed on the cardstock.  I dry the ink after each color is added.  It is really fun to layer the colors to get the exact look you like. I added stencils and modeling paste for more interest and dimension. The flower petals were stamped on white cardstock, colored and then trimmed out.  The Poinsettia flower was put together with a small brad and adhered to the card front with strong adhesive.  The card is outlined using a white gel pen.  The tag is created and attached to the card front using dimensional adhesive.

The Poinsettia flower petals are coated with a glitter pen (not showing in the picture).   The berries are acrylic red paint, applied with the small end of the stylus.  Works great and no mess!!  These 3D Poinsettia flowers are really fun to make and look gorgeous on projects!

Supplies used:
stamps: Joy Clair/ 3D Christmas Poinsettia
stencils: ARTplorations/stencils by Helen G.
paper: cardstock
adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
ink: Distress Oxide, Versa FAine Clair/Nocturne
modeling paste: Faber Castell

Joy Clair and Leisure Arts ~ cards!!

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today!
I am also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.
So fun to create with awesome stamps and some awesome markers:)

I'm here with some cards using the newly released stamp sets by Joy Clair called Crystal Background and You're A Gem.  These sets were made to go together and have a ton of sparkle potential.

The same unique, pretty crystal stones were used in both sets and ready to be all glittered up.  We are also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers  by Leisure Arts.

The markers were scribbled on a non stick surface and sprayed with a small amount of water.  The paper (mixed media) was dabbed in the ink from the markers.  I kept adding different colors, drying with a heat tool after each color.  Once the background was created stencils were added for dimension and interest.  The gem stones were stamped out and dabbed with ink from the markers.  The cut out gemstone images were glazed with a glitter pen an adhered to the card front.  The sentiment was added along with some small clear rhinestones. The card front was matted on  gray cardstock and then a folded card.

Both these cards are created using the same techniques.  The images are stamped out on backgrounds created using the dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.  The stencil work is giving the impression of negative verses positive impression but actually it is a dark plum ink on light paper and then dark paper.  The gemstone images were cut out and glittered with the Wink Of Stella pen/clear, giving the gemstones the sparkle that we all love.  The sentiments were stamped out and added to each card. The cards were speckled with black ink (first card) and white ink (second card).  To complete the cards, the card fronts were adhered to a folded card.

Mermaid & Pearl card with Joy Clair and Rinea~

Hi guys!
It's my turn over on the Joy Clair blog I have created a couple of cards using the same stamp set by Joy Clair.  It is one of the newly released sets called Mermaid at Heart.  The first example is created with Rinea paper and is so shiny!   This paper is perfect for this card~

The images (mermaid tail and clam shell) are created with Distressed Oxides.  Gather coordinating colors of inks, add water and run the paper through the ink.  Heat dry after each color.  Stamp the mermaid tail and clam shell (using Archival /Jet Black) and trim out.  The Rinea paper is from the Variety Frosted Artist Pack.  I used two different shades of blue/turquoise paper, from this pack, to create a card base for the stamped sea images.

Stencil work was added, to the background, using ARTplorations / Helen G. designer.   Really love the look the stencil shape added to the card.  Trying for a water effect.  The sea images are added with tape runner and foam squares for added dimension.  The clam with pearl are from the "Pearl of Great Price" stamp set by Joy Clair.

The background on this card was created using an embossing folder and duel tip markers by Leisure Arts.  The markers are water based and so very easy to use like you would watercolors.  The markers were used with a non stick mat and water.  The marker ink was dabbed on the embossing folder to create a sea coral resting in the background.  The mermaid tail is stamped on white cardstock and then colored in with the same marker ink that was created by adding water to the marker color.  The sentiment is called Scriptures of Love by Joy Clair.  Black ink splats were added to complete the card.

God's Army by Joy Clair~a journal page.

Hi guys!!
Long time no see :)
I have a journal page to share I created about a month ago
with my #5 grand!  He loves doing the pages with me.
I use Distress Oxide for the background and he mixes
the colors for me (and I might add really good at it).

Because I'm blogging this late and the details were not written
down (sorry), here is what I recall~
The background is Distress Oxides watered down. I then stamped
the images from the God's Army set by Joy Clair.
I used ARTplorations / Helen G. designer stencils to add dimension
 and texture to the pages.

I love the mixed media look to this page after the stencils are
added.  I felt like I had to much pink so I kept adding
stencils with different shapes and images.  Toned the pink way down~

Black and white paint splats were added to complete the pages.

Bible journaling with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog!
I wanted to share an art journal page I created using the Saved by Grace
set by Joy Clair.
It is so fun to create in my art journal!!! Love it !!!
The background is created by using Distress Oxides watered down and
then use a water brush to add color to the white spaces.  Easy!!!
Also used is the Books Of The Bible by Joy Clair.
Great for labeling or adding verses to your pages.
The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper, colored (with the same ink used
to create the background)
and then trimmed out and added to the pages.
The stencils used are by ARTplorations/Helen G. (check em' out)!! Very cool.
