Ice Cream Shaker Pocket Invitation~

Hi, Connie here with a shaker project using the Ice Cream Shaker by Clear Scraps.   An invitation for ice cream doesn't have to be fancy but it does need to be cute.  So I statred there~looking for cute!!!

To create the pocket (that holds the ice cream shaker) a vintage library envelope was used.  Cover the envelope with pattern paper and decorate the front panel with stickers or die cuts.  Just remember we are looking for cute!

The shaker was created using acrylic paint and pattern paper.  These are really easy and fun to put together and decorate.  They come with a back piece, two frames, the acrylic frame and then the outside cover frame.  Use a strong glue to assemble the shaker.

The shaker fits nicely in the decorated pocket, even room for some cash or gift card.  Just a CUTE way of asking someone to go for ice cream.

Shakers with a twist~ Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a twist on the popular Shakers by Clear Scraps!!!  When I'm creating I try to use items in different ways.  With that being said these are a couple of diffrent ways to use the Shakers.  I think these would be super cute gifts for teachers.  So easy the children can create too!

The Texas Shaker is created using pattern paper and acylic paint.  After the back piece is covered with paper, the top frame is painted, the palstic film is removed from the acrylic Texas shape and the sequin mix is added to the shaker, glue top frame down to the body of the shaker.  Now for the twist~

Add a spool to the back allowing for a pencil to be placed in the spool hole.  Paper or felt can be added around the spool and then using a strong adhesive attach to the back of the shaker.

A note pad could be given with this too, for extra cuteness!!  The Star Shaker is created the same way except instead of using the spool hole for a pencil, I glued a small cloths pin to the back of the shaker.

This could hold a quote, photo or card, you decide!!!  One tip, when attaching the spool to the shaker, make sure it is flush with the shaker, so it will adhere good (that is why I used felt around the niddle of the spool, it is thicker)

Butterfly Shaker Clip with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the Butterfly Shaker by Clear Scraps.  My inspiration was using the shaker images in a different way that could double as a teacher's gift.  I came up with a clip, for all those papers they grade. Take a look~

Clear scraps_butterfly shaker1_c.mercer
The Clear Scraps store has over 25 shapes of shakers.  Rumor has it, more are on the way:)  I constructed the shaker with pattern paper on the inside and pattern paper on the outside frame.  I used Beacon 3-IN-1 to adhere the shaker together.

The inside has Glamour sequins by Clear Scraps.  They matched beautifully.  I was prepared to use the entire bag of sequins, but a little goes along way.  Once the sequins are put in the shaker the frame was adhered and then let it rest.  For about 30 minutes.  I had a few sequins stick to the side.  The object is to have them in the middle so they shake around.

The side was embellished with buttons and flowers.  Beacon Quick Grip worked great, to adhere the embellishments to the front of the shaker.

Last adhere a cloths pin to the back of the  Butterfly Shaker and then adhere a strong magnet to back of the cloths pin.  Great for refrigerator art !!!

Supply list:
Clear Scraps: Butterfly Shaker
Clear Scraps: Sequins/Glamour
Other:
Beacon: Quick Grip and 1-IN-3 all purpose, pattern paper, embellishments.

Tag set created with stencils by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a cute tag/card set using the 6" stencils by Clear Scraps.  Take out some scrap pieces of cardstock, ink and stencils and that will get you started.

The cards are 4"X 4".  There are 6 cards in the set. Each card is stenciled with a nautical image from the Ocean Friends and Beach Fun stencils by Clear Scraps.  I used different color of inks for a fun look.  Each card is decorated with Sequins by Clear Scraps. See steps taken in photo below.

I also stenciled a 5" X 7" muslin bag to hold the card set in.  It made a really cute gift.

The card fronts were popped up with dimensional adhesive.   Easy project but does take time to complete all the fronts and stencil the bag.  The background of the bag is sprayed with colored ink spray for added color.
