He Is Risen by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
We are wrapping up the month with two more cards created with
the "He Is Risen" stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. So gorgeous!
First card~

This card was created using the PanPastels / Sunrise and Sunset palette.

Stamping this image takes lots of ink, but it looks amazing so crisp when
you get a good print.  Using a Misti is helpful for that.  I covered the "He
Is Risen" sentiment with tape (remove the tape before stamping to the
cardstock). The sentiment was stamped separately and then  cut
into word strips.
I started with red, orange and yellow for the color / PanPastels to color
the Sunset with. The card front was matted with coordinating colored
cardstock and the sentiment was added to complete the card front.
Second card~
This card is embossed with black embossing powder.  The powder has texture
that is why the white is showing up.  I used beige mix media paper to
emboss on.
Once the embossing is completed the card front is matted on white and black
card stock.  The sentiment is embossed on black cardstock with white
embossing powder.  The words are cut in strips and added to the
card front with dimensional adhesive.

A Valentine with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog!
I'm sharing a funny and cute card using the  #single set and
God's Focus set by Joy Clair.  This is a perfect card for that
special someone that loves chocolate, especially 1/2 chocolate.

To create a background for the card an embossing folder was used on heavy cardstock.  The banner was stamped out, from the God's Focus set, and trimmed out.  Color was added using Distress Oxide inks.  They work just like watercolors when water is added.  The banner and small hearts, were added to the card front, with 3D foam adhesive, along with a snarky sentiment from the #singles set.  Twine was added to complete the card.  Ink splats are optional.
The sentiment was added, to the inside of the card, suggesting 1/2 price chocolate is in the near future, like tomorrow!  Super cute and a quick card to celebrate the love for chocolate.

The Pasture by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have two cards to share with using the newly released The Pasture by
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This stamp makes beautiful note cards!
First card~
This card was created with PanPastels as the means to add
color to the image.  Guys this is so easy and it looks fabulous!!!
The Cloud Stencil was used to create the cloud with the blue tones of
PanPastels.

The brown and green tones (PanPastels) were used to color in the grass and tree bark.
The card front was adhered to coordinating cardstock. Twine and a wooden charm
were added to complete the card.
Second card~

This was a fun one~
Stamp the image out using a Misti.  You want really clean lines!  I used beige
heavy cardstock and love the contrast the black ink against the beige. So
pretty!
I used a Spellbinder oval die to cut the center out of  "The Pasture" scene stamp.
The image was squared up and matted on black cardstock.

A scalloped oval (I know it looks like a circle, but it is a oval) is used to
cut a scalloped edged border for the plain oval.  This will be the focal
of the card.
The center was attached with dimensional adhesive squares.
Seam binding was tied around the base of the card and a vintage button
was added.

Momma Bear by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!!
I'm sharing two cards using the newly released Momma Bear by
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This is a really cool stamp!!!
First card~
The background was created using a stencil and PanPastels on
 heavy cardstock.

The brown was used for the brick, the brown and black for the bears and green
for the grass. I added the rust color also to fill in with the bricks.
Glaze was added over the bears to make the black and brown color really pop.
The card front was then adhered to coordinating cardstock to complete the
card.  Momma Bear was stamped on coordinating cardstock and then
adhered to the card with dimensional 3D foam squares.

Second card~
A background was created using Distress Oxide inks.  I took brown tones
and watered them down.  I picked up color by laying it in the ink.  I heat dried
and then picked up more color.

The Momma Bear image was stamped on the background with
Archival/black ink.

The PanPastels work great for adding color to small wooden embellishments.
The card front was matted on coordinating cardstock, twine was added along
with the wooden heart.  Black ink splats completed the card.

Saved by Grace card with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair blog.
I'm sharing a card using the Saved by Grace set and Scriptures of Love set
by Joy Clair.  The card is pretty and simple ~ great combination!!!

The background is stamped with different sizes of the rose flower from the Saved by Grace set, in random places on the card front.  Color is added using Distress Oxide inks.  Extra leaves are stamped and trimmed out and added to the card using  3D foam squares adhesive.  The sentiment is double matted in coordinating cardstock and adhered to the card front.  The card is then double matted and adhered to a folded card base. Twine and ink splats are added for texture.  Very simple but pretty card ~
I love pretty simple too!!!

Better Things Ahead by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!!
Welcome~This is my first post for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, made
right here in the USA!!! They focus on scenery stamps and I love that.
Every week I will share two cards I created using the newly released stamps
for the month~
First card~

This stamps is called Better Things Ahead.  You will find it in the NEW Products section
of the online store.

Steps on creating the card above:
Create a background using the colors of a sunset with Distress Oxide.  Dip the card
front (watercolor paper) in the watered down paint until you get the look you love.
Stamp the stamp image on to the background that was created.  I use the Misti
so I can re-stamp as many times as I need to.  I love a really dark image when stamping
a silhouette image.
Stamp the sentiment on watercolor paper, paint over with the watered down
Distress Oxide.  Add to card front.  Mat card front on several coordinating
colors of cardstock.

Second card~
This card is created using PanPastels.  They have a learning curve to them
but I'm enjoying creating with them.
Steps for second card~

Using the Misti (so you can re-stamp for desired darkness of image) stamp
the image on cardstock.
I used red, orange and yellow, in the PanPastels, in that order.  I swiped across
the paper and then blended the line dividing each color.

Stamp the sentiment in the left top corner with black ink. Let the ink
dry and then take a polymer eraser and erase the yellow color (PanPastel)
leaving a lighter color and a label look.  Spray with hairspray or fixatif
to set the PanPastels.

Try It Tuesday ~ Bird Nests !

Hi guys!!
It is a new year and I'm going to do better about posting
Try It Tuesdays!! Promise (may not be every Tuesday but better
effort on my part)!
I have been seeing and collecting a few small bird nests that
I find while on my walk.  I just love them!!
Birds are so creative :):)

Two of them are from the ranch and the other two from Indiana. I'm pretty sure
the two that are alike (ranch) are Sparrow birds

I just starting filling the nests with pretties and was thinking these would be
really sweet Mother -to- be gifts so I used the Baby Sentiments stamp from
Darkroom Door.  They were perfect!!

Bird nests are really sweet holding all kinds of "pretties".  So get creative.
 They are worth saving!!
