Try It Tuesday ~Tagging Family Heirlooms!

Hi guys!!
I started doing this tagging of family heirlooms
or just cool stuff you want your kids to know the scoop
about.  I had a stamp made saying: belonged to __________.
It will take me years to do this but I'm starting~
I used white tags and then stamped them with the stamp.  I wrote special
notes on the back of the tag, if I had anymore information.  On one of the
tags I wrote the story of how I got the item.
Not sure if my kids or grands will find this system helpful when the
time comes for my things to get new homes, but I'm enjoying remembering
the when and why of these special family items.
Kinda cool if you ask me~

Check out this Gem with Paper House Productions~

Hi guys!!
I have more to share from the Stargazer Collection by
Paper House Productions.  This is such a beautiful collection.
Using the Gemstone papers I created this scrapbook page
of my granddaughter experiencing the Indiana Page Program
for a day.
The border papers were used to create a focal for the page.  The
gemstone border paper was highlighted by trimming around the stones.
The papers look so real and doing this really showcased the gemstone
border paper.
The cute mini banner was very easy to create using the Night Sky Paper in
the Stargazer Collection. This collection is full of craftiness!!! The sky is the limit.
All the details, on this project, are on the Paper House Productions Blog.
Check it out~

I've got one more scrapbook page to share~
This was created using the left over scraps from the Stargazer Collection.  I had a few
cardstock stickers, a sheet and a half of paper.  This is what I came up with~

This is a good case for "don't  throw the bits and pieces out"

Joy Clair and The Cutting Cafe ~

Hi guys!
Joy Clair is partnering with The Cutting Cafe this month.  You will see some really cool projects created, using cutting files and Joy Clair stamps.  I had the opportunity to create with the Assorted Bag Toppers set.  The file comes  with 8 assorted bag toppers, 4 assorted bags and 1 LARGE bonus topper.  I printed out, on cardstock, the images that I wanted to create with and then hand cut the image out.  If you have a cutting machine, no worries ~ The Cutting Cafe has you covered.

The products pair together perfectly!!!  The bags and toppers are very easy to work with.  The bags were stamped with Joy Clair stamps and then colored with alcohol markers and ink pads (Blessings box only).

These files were so fun to create with.  I have lots of ideas for these cut file bag and toppers file.  You could easily add candy, to the bag, and decorate with kids in mind.  These were created with more of a vintage style and decor (small gift item) inspiration in mind.

The topper was created using the top of the topper file by The Cutting Cafe and stamped with Easter Greetings by Joy Clair.

This one is using the topper file by The Cutting Cafe and stamped with Easter Greetings and Reckless Love by Joy Clair.  The images are colored using alcohol markers.  Each bag is stuffed with shredded paper and vintage bird eggs or a vintage velveteen decorative bird.

This one is stamped with different colors of ink, to create the background, for the bag. The stamps used are UH-OH Ink Splatter and Spring Stroll by Joy Clair. The bag topper, by The Cutting Cafe, is used as a handle for the bag.  Each bag is splatted with white acrylic paint.

New hobby~succulents!!!

Hi guys!!
Kinda of changing it up~
I have been dabbling in succulents for about a year.  They are
really addicting to try and grow them yourself.  I have
had a few successes at propagating but it is hard in the country.
Varmints are working against you all the time.
You have raccoons at night and cats during the day.  They have
been dug up and turned over.  But I will overcome this~

I don't know all the names of the plants~
I just love to grow them and watch them take off.
Most of my plants are from clippings.
A couple of plants are all the way from Montana~ remember these?
Hens and Chicks from Montana 2017 ~I still have two:)
Big one is flap jack from a cutting~

The middle  pot ~ mother of  thousands  Bought this one didn't even know what it was.
It was one I have been wanting  ( remember having these in a flower bed at our family home)

Most of these are called donkey ears. They are so fun.
They get a new plant at the end of the leaf .

A cement flower pot that was from my folks house.  Love it!!!

Stargazer with Paper House Productions~

Hi guys!!
I'm so excited to share my first project creating with
Paper House Productions amazing products.  I had the opportunity to
use the Stargazer Collection and it is
pretty cool ~ on so many levels!!!!

I used cardstock stickers, washi, die cut paper and border paper all
from the Stargazer Collection.  Makes it really
easy to create a good looking page.

A filmstrip was created from the die cut images that are in
the Stargazer Collection.   You can easily create the filmstrip look
from paper or a filmstrip stamp.  The journal strips were created in Word, trimmed
into strips and then adhered to the page.
Check out the Paper House Productions Blog for all the details~

Card set created with Clear Scraps!

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Clear Scraps Blog I have created three (4" X 4")
cards using the 6" Swallowtail Butterfly Stencil by Clear Scraps.
The butterfly seemed so perfect to help bring in Spring!

The card front is created on canvas using stamps, distress oxide ink and the
Swallowtail Butterfly stencil.  The canvas was then matted on white
cardstock and then a folded Kraft card base.  Vintage lace and buttons, along
with the sentiment, was added to complete the card.

Check out the Clear Scraps stencils, they carry many stencils that would
be excellent for this card design.

A Whale card with Joy Clair!

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog.  I will be showcasing the
"I think you're S'whale" set by Joy Clair

This is such a cute set and I love the play on words!!!  You will surely
get some laughs on some of these sentiments.  Perfect for friends!

This card was created using Distress Oxide to get desired background.
I used several different blues and kept adding them until the ocean look
appeared.  The sand is two different brown tones from the
Distress Oxide ink colors.  The sea moss was stamped out on white cardstock
and then cutout.  Sea shells were stamped in the sand.
The sentiment and twine were added to the bottom of
the card. to complete the swimming in the ocean with a
smiling whale.
Such a fun set to create with!!!

Color By Faith Blog Hop with Joy Clair!

Hi, Connie here with an art journal page, using two of the Joy Clair stamps sets from the Color By Faith Collection.  One of the sets is from the new release called Blossom and the other is called Prayer Warrior.  Joy Clair stamps are designed to go together when creating a project, so keep that in mind.  Grab a stamp from different sets and mix it up.

I started by using a background I had cleaned my roller on.  Vintage paper was added along with some watered down paint.  Stencils were added with modeling paste for dimension. The cactus images were stamped, in random spots, and then colored with acrylic paint.

The cactus images were outlined with white acrylic paint.  The sentiments were stamped with black archival ink and then highlighted, using a water brush, with Distress Oxide ink.  This was done on watercolor paper.  The edges of the watercolor paper were torn and then adhered to vintage book paper.  The inside of some of the letters were highlighted with green watered down acrylic paint.
