My name is Nick/OA paper
We went for a ride around the ranch the other night and the cows were just hanging around so I was able to get a few shots. Nick is the bull in this herd of cows and he does rule the roost - so to speak. I'm sure you can see why!!! I used some October Afternoon paper and Jenny Bowlin die cut paper. I really like the look of the die cut paper. I use it so much!! Added some AC Thickers for the title. Hope your inspired!!! Have a great day!

October Afternoon/Night Light
I just love these photos and paired with a favorite paper set of mine what could be more perfect. I will be getting more of this paper. I like it so much. You can cut out the little monster shapes and add them all around your journaling box or make a frame around your photo. I think the kids will like them too. Thanks for stopping by and if you decide this paper set is pretty cute and you need some-AC Bailey has plenty.

Encyclopedia of Me / "A"
I really enjoy making these little 8x8 LO pages. Our letter this time was "A".
I chose "Adorable grands" and "Artist" wanna-a-be as my "me" words. This is really a fun project. In a couple of weeks I will post the next letter. Hope you decide to make a "me" album. It's not to late to start.

Stair Step Card
Thought it was time for a crafty for St. Patrick's Day ( the cards are green) hee, hee. Cut your cardstock to the size of 10.5 X 5.0. One 12x12 cardstock will make 2 of these cards. If you want to stamp on it, now would be the time. Score at 1.25", 2.5", 4.25", 6" and 8.25". Fold with hills and valleys ( accordian style) making sure that the smallest fold is down. That is the front of your card. Now decorate and build up from the back. These are really fun to make and look great on the table as a birthday decoration. Have a great scrappy day!!! Thanks for stopping by.

Cosmo Cricket/Girl Friday
This is the last layout I did using the March kit of the month (KOTM). This has been one of my favorite kits . Love the bright girly papers and the fun trims and felt flowers. The jillibean soup alphas out of kraft paper are so cute. All of this and more comes in the kit. You can learn more about the KOTM on the home page at AC Bailey. Hope you all have a great day and go check out AC Bailey ( link on the side).

Make your own template/die cut paper
Are you just crazy ( like me) for all of that die cut 12x12 paper that we are seeing everywhere. I bought several different shapes and made cardboard templates so I can have my cute scalloped paper when ever I need it.
I just lay it on my favorite patterned paper or card stock and trace my shape on then cut out and have it to use over and over again. Very happy !!!
Since I took these photos last night I have added a new shape-just takes a few minutes to trace on cardboard and cut out. I have mine on a o-ring hanging with my other templates. Just thought I would share!!
Have a great "scrappy " day!!

Vintage card set
I had such a fun time making this card set. I love working with old lace and velvet brads! The size is 3"x6". I double matted - so just take off a 1/2" to get your inside mat. The accordian flower is easy but trickey - you will need 2 hands. hee, hee. For the flower you will need a 3/4" x 12" double sided paper strip. Score every 1/2" all the way to the bottom of strip. Attach the ends and open it up like aflower ( thats the trickey part). Once you have it flat, like the flower, drop some glossy accents in the middle and hold (both hands)- put your brad in and let dry. Once you get all your flowers done then you are good to go embellishing your cards. Have fun with it!!!

Finley Estates by Cloud 9/Fiskars
I love the photos of the kids on "Old Ugly". Finley Estates was perfect for these fun photos. The orange in the paper set just matched "Old ugly". The arrow was done using the old phone book paper technique hee, hee. Love that.I love the argyle design on this paper. I think it fits the pictures perfect. So fun!! I love the vintage feel the paper gives also.

Stain glass project
Our good friend, Darryl, came to visit last week and we decided to re-do two stain glass windows in our home. Darryl just happen to bring all his tools so it wasn't to hard to talk us into this four day project. We started by taking the windows out and taking them apart and washing the glass. That was the easy part. Randy made the frames, to hold the glass in while it was being constructed back. This is one window completed-one more to go.
Here they are pulling the camin ( that holds the glass together). It is lead. Not sure why you pull it but it stretches it and makes it easier to fit the glass shapes in it. This was a time consuming job. We grinded pieces of glass down to help give the glass pieces a better fit in the frame.
Here they are fitting the pieces together. After deciding on the new pattern-we cut and grinded glass. Randy and I learned so much from Darryl. The first window took some time-more than we thought. But the second one went together really fast. The windows look great!!! and we both are so happy with them. TY Darryl!!!

Challenges
These two layouts I did this last week for a challenge on AC Bailey and one on the Fiskars site. I love doing the challenges-for one it makes me get out of my scrappy box and try different things. It might be different design layout or it might be using new techniques. Anyway its all good cause your learning something new. My challenge to you is to try something new. Sketches are a great place to start to get out of your scrappy box.
