Christmas tree pins~ with JBS and Basically Bare!!!

Hi everyone ~I thought I would share with you these lapel pins I made using Jenni Bowlin Studio banner chipborad pieces.  They make a nice tree when you turn them up side down:):):)

The first thing is I got my scrap bag out.  You need just a small piece of paper.  I used the Haven line, because that's what I had:)  Cover the chipboard, add your tree trunk { I used thickers cut down}, the back is covered with felt and then the lapel pin is hot glued to that.

The words are by Cosmo Cricket.  I have attached them to my biz card to give as gifts.

These are the banner pieces by Basically Bare.  I glued the canvas ones to the chipboard ones to make the pin stronger.  I painted the canvas and added lace and some JBS stars { the red and the topper star}!!

The banner pieces make adorable Christmas tree pins and they are easy, not so quick but the time is well worth the end results!!

Here is a look at the back of the pin~
Thanks for stopping by today~I have 2 more days left on the Scrap Awards, still time to vote HERE.

Try It Tuesday~just a fun post!!!

Every now and then you need to have a fun post!!! That is what this is~it is grouping, collecting and re-purposing things that I think are interesting.

This is an interesting collection of floral frogs.  I still pick them up when I can find them at a fair price, but that is getting harder and harder.  The adorable cards are by Jenni Bowlin Studio.  I think they add a nice touch~

I don't even know where to start on this.  I'm not sure what it is but I'll tell you what we {me and hubby} think they are~could be a brass door knob{but hubby doesn't really think it is} because it is stripped out on the inside.  Could be a gear knob for a standard transmission { did I just write that} wow, I'm amazing myself tonight~

anyway it makes a super cute holder for scissors.  I used Jenni Bowlin Studio chipboard buttons{ love those} to decorate and some Vintage Street Market Twirly Twine to decorate it.

And this is how I have been keeping my washi tape{yes, this is all I have} **sigh** but super cute look and stays all together.  I have several more of these spools so I will be getting more washi tape:):):) I'm sure of that!!

Turkey's ~ Tim style!!!

Hi there~turkey time again!!! Wanted to share these little guys with you because you still have time before Thanksgiving to make you a herd of them.  These are made with the rosette dies {you'll need all three} by Tim Holtz.  He has a tutorial on his blog with the print outs also.  You will need Claudine Hellmuth's sticky-back canvas to make the head of the turkey.  Other than that some colorful fallish paper and your ready~
The link to the tutorial on Tim Holtz blog is HERE.

They even look great on Pecan pie, as a pie topper!!!!  I had such a fun time making these. This year I'm going to make the rosette Christmas  trees ~I'll keep you posted on that!!

But my favorite turkey of all is this little guy~

He was made in 1984 by youngest son, probably with some help!!! A family favorite!!!!

I have lots of cool vintage Christmas projects to show you and I will start with that after Thanksgiving.  I have a guest blogger for Dec. 6 ~ first one I have ever had. She is special!!!

Remember this~a junker post!

Remember when I showed you this~I know it has been awhile back.  I finally decided what to use it for ~a junker clip up!!!  I have lots of cool vintage ephemera that I have collected up and forget to do things with it because I can't see it.   So this is what I came up with~

I used the clips by 7gypsies.  They work perfect to clip on to the shade wire.

Vintage Street Market and Jenni Bowlin Studios have ephemera in their online stores.  All kinds of cool vintage stuff to use in scrapbooking and altered art.

Have a great weekend and maybe go junkin'!!!!!
See ya soon!!!! { with a winner of some crafty goodies}
