Bunco " goodies"
I'm in a bunco club and it was my turn host a few weeks ago. These were my table decorations. Wrapping the candy with a stamped label is so easy to do and can be done for different celebrations - like a birthday!!

The top one is a little dark but I wanted keep posting my progress on this very "special" project. My album is starting to take shape. The two words I chose for "R" were my DH Randy and my DS Richie.

Legacy of Love/OA and Jenny Bowlin
This was a fun challenge and got me to thinking on a way to tie all three of these photos together. I used Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon and some cool XL brackets by clear scraps that I inked with StazOn black ink. I added some buttons, pearls by Kaiser and added a hand made crocheted flower by my mother -in-law. Thanks for the challenge Noel! This kept me busy all day!!!

Just for FUN!!
I had this cool Brownie Box that has been speaking to me. So today I did something about it. I cut it down to 4x4. I had enough for 4 pieces and two 6x6 pieces that I haven't put together yet.

Mother's Day Fun
We had such a fun day, all of us, on Mother's day. I played with my grands and gave as many kisses and hugs as I could get away with. They are so sweet!!! The layout is using October Afternoon/ Detours and Bazzill card stock. The title is right-they are a gift to me. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Stretch those supplies
The was one of the Stimulus Challenges over on AC Bailey. The challenge was to start with five sheets of patterned paper or card stock or mix it up but just five papers and one alpha set , ten buttons or brads and see how many layout's you get out of those supplies.
I got three layouts and a little set of cards. This wasn't really a challenge for me because I always try to stretch my supplies as far as I can.

A Bloom in Progress
This is one of my favorite layouts for several reasons. This layout shows just how pretty my granddaughter is and it has some vintage buttons on it and it is the first layout that has been published. I worked so hard on getting everything just right-I love that process!!! I hope you are inspired and have a great day!!!!

eek 5 grands...
This is an acyclic album I did as a Project of the month for AC Bailey. I used Night Light by October Afternoon. I had a great time putting this together. I wrote stories about the kids-things that they have said to me that I don't want to forget. This is the cover.

Cactus/Eggs
These are two layouts I did quickly. We were riding around the ranch and the cactus blooms are every where so that needed to be documented and I had to document our first chicken egg. Living on a ranch these are big moments in the life of a farmer/rancher. We are still green from all the rain we got a few weeks ago. Still hoping for more!! Thanks for stopping by!!

More Bo Bunny/Abbey Rd.
I love this paper. It is so green and lush just like our garden is. We got 9" of rain in two weeks! I used the chunky charms by Bo Bunny to frame the picture of the garden. It will save us money at the grocery store, so what a great stimulus plan.
The cows have been so hungry. We have been feeding lots of hay!! They are really enjoying all the green grass and are fattening up nicely. This layout is using the Abbey Rd. patterned paper and Bazzill card stock. All supplies can be found in the e-store at AC Bailey. Link is in the side bar.
I love making these flowers -very cool looking. So easy, too!!! All you do is cut 4 circles - each a little smaller than the previous one. Distress the sides with your scissors or a distressing tool. I used Ranger crackle paint and just hit the edges with it. Let the flowers dry for about 10 minutes. Attach the brad in the center and there you have it a "way cool" flower!!! Hope you try these. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!!

Bo Bunny/Abbey Rd
This layout is showcasing our beautiful garden gate, that leads to the pond, and the sweet jasmine blooming all over it. It smells so good!! The pretty flourishes are Bo Bunny chunky charms. I love how they

AC Bailey NSD Blog Hop
Hi everyone! I am so glad you found me today! AC Bailey is having a blog hop for NSD and guess what? You can win some "scrappy stuff" just by hopping from blog to blog. So come hop with us!
My name is Connie Mercer and I have been a consultant for ACB since April 2008. Another consultant introduced me to AC Bailey. I joined the design team in September 2008 and life hasn't been the same since. There are many things I love about AC Bailey but three things really stand out for me. I love the free shipping I get for all orders over $35 on the 1st of every month. Second would be the products--my favorite product line is October Afternoon--I love it and want it all!!! I love the vintage feel of the paper and the embellishments that match the paper line. It makes doing my layouts so much easier and faster. And third, would be the customer service Erica gives to not only her consultants but her customers as well. So pull out your paper & pics and have all your favorite snacks on hand and join us for another memorable weekend. As you move from blog to blog each of the ACB DT gals will be teaching you something special - something about scrapping, something I hope you can use on YOUR pages. On my blog I'd like to teach to layer with those "way cool" Fiskars border punches. I think this is fantastic for cards and layouts and it is so easy! Check this out:

I used the scallop, threading water and apron lace border punches. I find I use these more and more. Here's the link to the punches. http://www.acbaileydesigns.net/category_s/51.htm Decide on what paper you want to punch your borders from and punch away. I did three and layered them with the Sassafras Lass. Ink them all up so they will POP off the page. Start layering them - you could even add some ribbon or trim for demension. Doesn't it look GREAT!!!
Thanks for stopping by and remember - post a comment so you will be put in the drawing. One lucky gal posting on my blog today will win a prize just for having visited my blog. Also I want to remind you that if you create a layout using the techniques learned today, and post it to the ACB forum/gallery you will get a chance to WIN that KOTM pictured here. Awesome, right!! Next stop is the crafty cafe at http://www.the-craftycafe.com/
Enjoy the day!!
Enjoy the day!!
