Creating Tags from Designer Paper~

Hi there!!!
Today I'm sharing some tags that are cut from
Moon Madness Designer paper by Deanna Sedillo.
The paper is 5X7 so you get a big tag and more
to decorate!

Tag 1

I used Distress Crackle Paste, with a stencil, and Distress
Spray Stain.  I was really happy how the paper handled the
wet medium.

The papers are double sided, so you choose!!! You get 5 different
designs, 3 of each.  The back papers come in 2 different
designs.  All that paper will keep you busy for at least a couple
of hours :):) Stamps used: KatzelKraft, Darkroom Door, Paper Artsy
Creative Worship/stencil.

Tag 2

On this tag I just used stamps and ink.  The Hero Hues/Unicorn
ink shows up really well on the paper.  This is another
example that these papers, can easily be used for
mixed media projects!!  This has acrylic paint all over it :):)

Only one stamp set was used in the creation of this tag.  That is not my
norm, for sure!!!

You can find her HERE.  She has different
sets.  You will want them all:)

Mixed Media Shell Tag using Designer Paper~

Hi there!!
I still have shells on my mind, so I took out all
my sea shell stamps and gave it go!!!!
I came up with a tag, with a mixed media feel,
using designer paper.  The color background is already
done, by using the designer paper, just need to add stamps.
Makes for a fast and good looking tag!!!

I cut the tag from Fantasy Lights by Deanna's Ink Inspirations using
Tag-tastic die by Studio Light.  The shells are Gifts from the Sea by
Gina K.  Also used are ESN55, ESN48 and ESN61 by Paper Artsy.
The sentiment is from the KTZ283 by KatzelKraft.  Two other sets are
Numbers Medley and Stitched Borders by Darkroom Door.
All adhesives are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Check out all the sets of pattern paper!!

Darkroom Door August Challenge - Under the Sea

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing my card for the August
Darkroom Door Challenge using the Under The Sea
stamp set.  The timing couldn't have been more
perfect, I just got home from Florida and still have shells
and beautiful tropical fish on my mind.

I started by creating the background for the card. I used a mix
of  Distress Oxides inks for this.

As you can see, I used several different stamp sets to create the card.
The Wild Waves is a great background stamp that is
perfect to pair with the tropical fish.

The fish are stamped, colored and then cut out.  I used the Shells set for the
scallop so the the fish could peek out.  I also used a white Posca pen to
highlight the waves.  Dimentional adhesive is used to pop up the fish
images.
To join in on the fun you can find all the details HERE.
Also, the Under The Sea stamp set is discounted !!!

Darkroom Door July Challenge ~ Pen & Ink

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media tag using
the Pen & Ink set by Darkroom Door.  It is the
July Challenge stamp set.

I added additional stamps to create the tag.  Darkroom Door stamps
all go together!! Love that so much.

The tag background is a mix of Distress Oxide and Distress inks.
I used Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and  Walnut Stain.
The satin ribbon is stained with Walnut Stain ink and then
heat dried.

I then stamped the images from the Handwritten Ledger set to
create a messy look.  I love how it enhanced the look of the tag
when the Pen & Ink images were added.
The Pen & Ink were
stamped on white cardstock, colored and then cut out. They were
adhered with dimensional adhesive.

All stamp sets available at Darkroom Door.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join us!!!

One Sheet with Darkroom Door~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a "One Sheet" mixed media
creation using a sheet of 12x12 cardstock.  Super Fun!!!
I chose the New York Vol.2, Number Medley and
Stitched Borders by Darkroom Door, as my background
  stamps.

I stamped these three sets, in random places, to create a sheet of
mixed media pattern paper.  The color is Distress Oxide inks.  I then cut
the sheet to make card fronts.  I got 4 cards, A2 size, and 2 tags from the
one sheet of pattern paper.

I also used the Lots of Labels set and Word Labels to enhance the card
fronts.  These are great cards for the men in your life, like perfect
for Father's Day !!

The tags are perfect for a personalized touch to a gift bag!!
I hope I have given you some ideas for Father's Day and check
out Darkroom Door

They are doing some fun stuff over there!!!

Scrappy Turtle Tags~

Hi  there!
Today I'm sharing some Scrappy Turtle Tags created
with scraps of heavy mixed media cardstock off
of a 12x12 sheet of paper.  Couldn't let it go to
the trash:):)

The tags are created together, so the elements are from the
same stamp set. I used Distress Oxide inks for a colorful mix
for the background.  Stencils by PaperArtsy are used
on the background.

The stamps are by Blue Knight Stamps (Sea Life Set), Carmen
Veranda (border), Darkroom Door (Fish Net BG) and
Studio Light (sentiments).

The Sea Life elements are adhered with
dimensional adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
These were fun to create, even stapled the border to the
bottom of the tag.  Buttons are by Buttons Galore & More.
The company links are in the side bar.

Boys with Pets ~ creating with silhouette stamps!

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing an easy, but striking, card
using Silhouette Stamps by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps
and Darkroom Door.

The background is a mix of Distress Oxide inks on white cardstock.
The focal words are from the One Line Sentiments/friends rock. set.
The leaves and the children are stamped over the words using
Versafine ink and Archival/fern green.

I use a stamping platform to insure a strong stamped image.  Makes it easy to
restamp!
It helps with perfect placement too:)
Stamps used: Blue Knight Rubber Stamps: Boys with Pets, One Line
Sentiments/friends rock.
Darkroom Door: Carved Leaves Vol.1 and
Studio Light: Sentiment Strip.

Raise a Hallelujah!!

Hi there~
I have been super busy trying to figure out a
new way to blog and show creative works.
My old Dell computer died on me.  I lost all of my links
and book marked sites. Ugh!!!
I'm slowly rebuilding:):)

I love creating mixed media backgrounds.  So fun!
You can use watercolors, Distress Oxide inks or
water downed acrylic paints.  I take a mix of
stamps for the background and then stamp over with
silhouette stamps.  I always use a stamping platform,
to make sure you can restamp the image.
This card has washi tape and a scalloped border at the
bottom of the card.
Stamps used are by Darkroom Door, Blue Knight Stamps
and PaperArtsy. All adhesive is by
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Vintage Rolo Dex Art~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a repurposed project.
I'm using a vintage Rolo Dex that I used for
business contacts back in the day.  I put a mixed media
spin on it.

Anyone else have one of these?  Mine was stored in a closet so it is
still in good shape. If the cards have information on them they are
still usable, just gesso over the card and then paint.

I used Distress Oxide Inks for the background colors.  The stamps are by
Darkroom Door.  The sentiment is by Creative Worship and paper dolls by
Tim Holtz.

I got my cards going the wrong way so this set is upside down. No biggie!!
Just turn the Rolo Dex.  The stamps are by Creative Expressions, Darkroom
Door and Katzelkraft. The sticker words are by Tim Holtz.

This one I used acrylic paint and then stamped over the paint.
I'm using stamps and stencil by Creative Worship. All adhesives
are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Sunshine Mixed Media Tags~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a couple of tags using
KatzelKraft Stamps, Darkroom Door Stamps and
Tracy Evans Stamps. I found all these
stamps at Topflight Stamps.  Topflight specializes
in International Stamps.

I used Distress Oxide inks to create a mix of color for the tag background.
Always fun playing with colors!

I start by layering the stamps and then adding in stencils and
extra elements.  Using a contrasting ink gives a fun look.

Silhouette images look great (and so easy) on this type of art.
I haven't seen a bad silhouette stamp :):).
Supplies used: KatzelKraft: Silhouette Flowers and KT2219
Tracy Evans: Shadowed Elements, Background Elements
and Studio Light: Sentiments & Wishes. Darkroom Door:
Take Flight, Abstract Faded Circles, Abstract 09, Post marks BG,
and Number Medley.
All adhesives are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

changed up the animal and tag color.  The tag background colors are Distress
Oxide inks (watered down).  I added stamps and stencil images to give a
worn look.  The animal images are adhered with dimensional adhesive.
The sentiments are by Creative Expressions called
Inspirational Wordies Sentiment sheet.  Product List: Katzel Kraft:
We're All Mad Here and Los Nombres. Tracy Evans: BG Elements (TELL).
Paper Artsy: Seth Apter, ESA44 and Kate Crane: Stencil PS429.
