The Paper Bakery~Dry Eraser Board!

Hi everyone~this is my last project for The Paper Bakery.  I love making these Dry Eraser Boards and this December add on kit had great embellishments in it for this type of project.  They take some time but so worth it in the end.  I decoupaged tissue paper, that was in the kit, to the inside cardboard~giving me my background that will be seen through the frame.

You are ready to add paper to the outside frame and decorate it as you like.  The products I used were the The Paper Bakery's December add on kit and Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar Decoupage and Helmar Acid Free Glue.  You can go HERE to find out how to get your name on the list for future and up coming kits from The Paper Bakery.  If you have questions about the kit club and how it works THIS is a great place to start looking for answers.

Here is another one done with the December kit.  You can see some of the handmade embellishments I was talking about earlier. Super cute!!!! I use Helmar 450 to glue the embellishments on. This kit comes with a clear acrylic stamp by Jenni Bowlin~I used it on this layout.

Dear Santa with Darkroom Door!!!!

One more day until Christmas!!!! Looking forward to seeing all of our family!!!  This is a layout I did for Darkroom Door using the Dear Santa word strips and the Dear Santa Photo Chips.  The block style design is perfect for the Photo Chips~just the right size!!!! The journal round is by Jenni Bowlin.

I used Kraft cardstock and some bakers twine and buttons!!!! The title is by American Crafts.  The X marks added the stitched look to the layout.  You can either do it with a rubber stamp or a marker. I used the Darkroom Door Stamp set for this.

Here is close-up of the banner.  I loved the word strips and thought they would make a cute banner. Thanks for stopping in~I know everyone is so busy with baking and family stuff!!!  Have a wonderful Holiday !!!!
See ya tomorrow~Christmas Day!!!!

Christmas note pads~

Good morning!!!!!  Christmas is almost here!!! I have a couple more Christmas projects to show you then on to January 2012!!  These are Christmas note pads that take no time to make so if you need some small gift items to hand out to family and friends here you go. These are a perfect choice.  You will need 2 sheets of double side paper, matching embellies, Helmar 450 Quick Dry and 12 X 12 note pad cut into thirds.  I used the Tops Brand from Office Depot~they will even cut them for a small fee.  I had a twelve pack cut~so you could see some more of these***wink, wink***

Two sheets of double side pattern paper will make three of these note pads.  Cut the paper into thirds and glue to the back of the note pad.  Take a 4 X 4 piece of the pattern paper and fold it over the top ~making a flap, this is the part you will decorate.  I used Bella Blvd as my pattern paper and embellies!!! I added a little Rock Candy also to sparkle things up!!  Here are some more examples~

Dear Santa~another tag idea!!!!

Hi everyone~this is a sweet little gift idea that uses Darkroom Door's tag stamp set and the Dear Santa montage images.  Pretty simple and so cute!!! Stamp out your tags~I used the small ones and decorate them with festive images. Easy enough~

I then made a card out of decorating an envelope by Maya Road.  I decorated the outside with the Dear Santa montage by Darkroom Door.  I put the tags inside the envelope.  When all the tags are used on gifts~then the envelope can be used to wrap a gift in also!!! Bakers twine is excellent for the tie~on.  I'm up over on Darkroom Room today~would love for you to pop in !!!

Tomorrow I'm up over on Helmar's blog ~ another version of a quick, cute Christmas gift using my favorite glue Helmar 450 Quick Dry!! I know everyone is busy and I thank you for stopping in~ see ya soon!!!!

Try It Tuesday~Epiphany Crafts & Crate Paper

Hi everyone~we are getting close to the five day count down!! I wanted to share a Christmas layout and some ornaments with you, using Epiphany Crafts and Crate Paper/Peppermint Collection.   On this one I used Epiphany Crafts Star bubble cap with the Crate Paper Collection.

I machine sewed the string, the stars are dangling from~love that look!!!!  The great thing about the Epiphany Crafts bubble caps is you can decide for yourself which paper you want to use and make your stars custom to your layout. Very cool!!! I love options and with Epiphany Crafts you get that!!

These are some  Christmas ornaments I made using the Crate Paper Collection and Epiphany Crafts Stars!!! Love the funky trims that come with the Crate Paper Collection!!! So festive looking and fun~
The embellishments were adhered with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Glue!!!

Authentique gift card holder~

Hi everyone~I have two of my grands for a couple of days so I'm up early to make my blog post.  This is a gift card holder that I did for a bonus project at Craft Crossing {carries the full line of Authentique}.   It is done in Authentique pattern paper. The pumpkin is from a Tim Holtz die, stickers from Authentique, bakers twine and buttons.

First you will need two strips of double side paper cut into 3"X12".  Score at 4" and 8" on both strips of pattern paper.

You will need to attach them at the seem.  I used Tim Holtz tissue tape~you can reinforce with paper or double sided tape and then cover with tissue tape~that method works best.

So this is what it will look like.

Glue your envelopes on the little pages~I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry (Authentique is one of the partnering Company's with Helmar}  To turn it into the little book~glue pages 2 and 3 together and pages 4 and 5 together~back to back. You should have 4 sections in your little book. I then wrapped bakers twine around it, decorated the front and it was ready to add the gift cards.  I labeled my little envelopes with~Pizza, Burgers, Tacos, Deli.

Hope you enjoyed this and I'll see you tomorrow for Try It Tuesday!!! see ya soon!

Here is a closeup of the embellishments! The journaling was done on the computer, printed out and cut into strips.  One of my favorite journaling techniques.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the embellishments~hasn't let me down yet!!! Got to get those errands~see ya soon!!!

Dear Santa tags with Darkroom Door~

Happy Wednesday ~How's the Holiday preparations coming along!!!  I still have a few things to do and then I want  to get busy in my studio.  I'm trying to get sick ~ so that is slowing me down.  I wanted to share these tags with you that I did a few months back for Darkroom Door.  They were so generous with me!! I love the Dear Santa line, made up of vintage Santa's from the past!!!  If you would like to see these individually go HERE  .  The base of the tag is Manila cardstock by Ranger. I also inked the tags with the Tim Holtz inks. The tag stamp is by Darkroom Door.

I striped {tore} some material and wrapped it around the stamped tag and clustered embellishments from the Dear Santa montage at the bottom.  The words are from the Dear Santa words collection by Darkroom Door. All the embellishments were glued with Helmar 450 Quick Dry.  Have a great day and see ya soon!!!

Hi everyone~time for Try It Tuesday!!!  Today I'm using Crate Paper/Peppermint Collection and Epiphany Crafts Oval bubble cap to create my layout.  I am using pictures from last year. Love these pic's of the grands deciding which ornament they can take home.  Taking one off inspecting it, putting it back on and the process begins again until one speaks to them and they yell~I want this one!!!!

The embellishments are by Crate Paper, from the same collection.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the Epiphany Crafts Oval bubble caps to the Christmas tree.  The small round journal circle is by Jillibean Soup.  Hope you had a great weekend~we sure did.  See ya soon!!!
