Seagulls & Driftwood by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps ~ cards!

Hi guys!
I have a couple cards to share using the
Seagulls & Driftwood by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
This set comes with two extra Seagull stamps which gives
more options when designing with this set.  Love that!
Card #1~
This card was stamped on mixed media paper with Archival ink.  Panpastels were
used to add color  to the sky, beach and log.   The cloud stencil was a big help
in creating clouds.  Such a great tool!  The Seagull is highlighted with a
white gel pen.

 Card #2~
On this card Panpastels were used to color the image.  I also used a
rectangle stencil to add a black border around the beach scene.
I love the look! Unique and different!  The sentiment was added to the
top left on the card front using the Mini Greetings 1 set.
Archival/Black ink was
used for stamping.  Both cards are held together with adhesive products
by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Six ideas for re-purposing vintage finds~

Hi guys!!
I took a walk on my front porch and thought I would
share some of my re-purposed finds.  You know the
grungy stuff no wants to take home.  I love chipped paint, rust
 and eclectic finds!!

no.1
This is an old carpenters tool box. When I found it the bottom
was coming off.  It is still the original paint.   I thought one
of the bird nests (collected this Spring, with fake eggs) made for a cool table
center piece.  Always can find something to put a bird nest
in.
no.2
Old chippy chairs make a great plant stand.  Dug these out of a trash pile.
no.3
A chippy chair, holding a vintage washboard, make for a super cute
deer antler display for the front porch.
no.4
Old pottery and large enamel ware pots are great for collecting
natures gifts.  These have pine cones of all sizes, from all over
the USA.
no.5
Old milk can with a slice of tree (from ranch) make a unique
table.

no.6
A hunk of wood and an unique tractor seat (needs a new paint job) makes a
very cool ranch stool for the BBQ pit!!
Thanks for stopping by and let me know in your comments
if you would like to see more of this type of blog posts.
I would love to hear from you~

watered down and used like watercolors.  The Brick Wall stencil was added with
Archival ink.  The focal image was stamped on mixed media paper,
colored and trimmed out.  The coffee cup was added to the card front with
3D Foam Adhesive.  The sentiment was added to the card front.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop / Spring and Summer 2020 ~ Card #1.

Hi guys!!
I'm featuring Coffee stamps by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps and hopping
with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  If you love Coffee, Tea and all the above
this is the place for you.

Blue Knight Rubber Stamps is the middle of a new release and one
of the stamps is called Beau.tea.ful.  Do you see the word tea in the middle?
To create the card the Beau.tea.ful stamp was stamped in the center of the
card front and then masked off so the background could be added
using a stencil.  The image was colored in with Distress Oxide inks.  A
vintage milk cap was added with dimensional adhesive.
Other products used to create this card (that I love) to support~

Rainy Days by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~card time!!

Hi guys!
I have a couple cards to share using the newly released Rainy Days
 by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
I think this stamp makes beautiful note cards.  So
simple but striking.   Panpastels make it so  easy and pretty
to add color to the card front.
Card #1 ~

This card was stamped on mixed media paper using a Misti stamping platform. The image
was stamped and then colored in with Day & Night
 Panpastels .
Shading was added using colored pencils.  The sentiment was
stamped using the Mini Greetings 1 set and trimmed into a small tag.
The tag was attached using 3D foam squares by
 Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Card #2~
With this card,  the steps are the same as the above card,  just used the
Sunrise & Sunset Panpastel set to color in the image.  The

Try It Tuesday~old photos used for book covers!

Hi guys!
I was gifted a box of old photos (8 x 10), black and white
mat photos~ really cool!!!!
I thought they would make really cool note book
covers.  I had some old composition note books that
needed an update, so that is where I started.

Supplies needed:
Adhesive, stamps, stencils, Stazon ink or Archival and washi tape.
Old photos (scenery type) ~ best source for this junk store.
I always see them there with cheap prices too.
I'll post links at the bottom of the post of brands I used.
#1. Showing types of photos that work great.
#2. Showing you I have lots!!
#3. Removed old pattern paper from front and back of composition
book.  Cut salvage off of 8 x 10 photos and corner rounded R side corners and
L side corners for back side.
#4. I used Extreme Double-Sided Tape  1/4" by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
to secure the old photo to the front of the composition book.
#5. I used stamps and stencils (Darkroom Door and Blue Knight Rubber Stamps)
to add interest to front of book.
#6. Label was adhered with Crafty Foam Tape 108' by Scrapbook
Adhesives by 3L.

I used the same supplies on this except I added the Cowboy Minis
 by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
.
These composition books have been around for many years~2009 for one
of them and 2012 for the other one.  One of them is a list of every blog
post I have made on my blog and the other for publications and
Design teams I submitted to.  These two notebooks show all
the disappointments and the cheers!!!
A journal page using one of the old photos!!!
Just Try it!!!

Flamingos & Wild Grass by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~ easel card !

Hi guys!
I have a couple cards (one an easel card) to share using the
newly released stamp called Flamingos & Wild Grass
  by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I think this stamp makes a beautiful easel card.
 Something different and super cute!
Card #1 ~ Easel card!
The basic formula for an easel card is to divide the length of your base by two
 and score.
(This is the mid-point.)  Next, divide one side by two and score
 (This is the three-quarters point.)  Mine is 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" for base and 4 1/4" x
4 1/4" for card front.  Scored the base at 4 1/4" and 6 3/8" fold and you have
created am easel for the card front.
The card front is created by stamping the image on mixed media paper, colored
with Panpastels. The Mini Greetings 1 set (sentiment) and the
Walk by Faith (small birds) were added to the card front also.  A small notepad was
adhered for a personal greeting!!
Card #2 ~ card

This card is created using panpastels and stencils. The clouds were created using the
Cloud stencil and an oval stencil.  I used the negative of the oval stencil to cover
 the area
where the sky will be and shadowed in the oval
area where the Flamingos will stand.  Then I used the positive
of the oval stencil to cover the Flamingos and add the sky using
the cloud stencil. Added the sentiment to complete the card front.
  Both cards are held
 together 3D foam squares by

Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Winter Farmland by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~ cards!

Hi guys!
I have a couple cards to share using the
Winter Farmland stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
This is one of the
newly released stamps.
Card #1~

The Winter Farmland stamp is a winter scene, so it has lots of snow
in the scene.  The snow part (white) of the stamp is colored with a white
crayon, to form the resit when I add color to the scene.  I stamped with
Archival black ink on white cardstock.  The barn, sky, rock wall and tree are
all colored with distress oxide inks watered down to act like
water colors.  I used white and red acrylic paint to add a love note to
the bark of the tree.  Pixie Dust was added randomly for sparkly snow!!

Card #2~
I created a background using two different colors of distress oxide ink.
I layered the colors by heat drying after each color was added.  I let the
colors puddle on the paper and then heart dry.  I love the color rings it
creates.  I then sprayed with water (reacts with the ink) to leave a
distressed look.   Really love it!!!!
Both cards are adhered together with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Small Brick Stencil by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the Small Brick Wall
stencil by Darkroom Door.  It is perfect for cards and just
the right size too!

Just playing around for two different looks.  Distress ink was used on the
car card and Distress Oxide on the bottles card.  The small brick stencil
works well with larger images. Stencils make for an easy and quick
card.  Wish I had invented them:):)

Products used: Darkroom Door: Make Art Sentiment set, Bottles, Stars,
Classic Cars Vol.2, Alpha Jumble stencil.
Other: Distress Oxide ink, Distress ink, Archival ink and
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
