Hochanda and Darkroom Door ~

 Hi guys!
I just had to share with you, yesterday on
Hochanda (UK craft shopping show) Darkroom Door
was featured with their beautiful red rubber stamps.
Some of my cards were in the show ~
The first show
features these cards

I was really excited about this segment.  The cards featured in this segment
were from 2011, some of the very first creative work
done for Darkroom Door.

This was such a thrill for me, to be one of the Darkroom Door designers, to have
creative work shared in the UK.  If by any chance you haven't heard of
this amazing stamp company, check them out here.
They have a stockist list for USA  and other countries.  When I order stamps, I order
directly from Darkroom Door.  It takes about 14 days.
So worth the wait!!!

Scrapbooking with Joy Clair and Bazzill ~

Hi guys!
Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog.
I will be showcasing a scrapbook page using four different stamp
sets by Joy Clair and Bazzill cardstock.

I only had one picture so I layered different colors of Bazzill cardstock
behind the photo, creating the focal for the page.  The cardstock has silver hearts
on it and so perfect for this page.

The hash tag sentiments is a new set by Joy Clair called 2 Boss Babe.
So cute and I love the hash tag.

Above the photo I used the Books of the Bible set.  Loving that I can
add scripture to my pages giving them more meaning.
This segment is showcasing the Hello Autumn (leaf) and God's Focus (banner) sets.
Stamps are a wonderful addition to the craft world.  Instant embellishments!!

Word Art Wednesday and Joy Clair~

Hi guys!!
I'm participating in Word Art Wednesday using
stamps by Joy Clair Word Art Wednesday is a challenge blog
using scripture, as a starting point, to create a card.

This month you have the option of using the following
scripture on your card but it is not required to participate.

Joy Clair has a fabulous selection of bible Journaling stamps
called Color By Faith.  I started  there, using the Prayer Warrior set by Joy Clair.
I'm doing a personal study on prayer so this set speaks to me on many levels.
The background for the card was created using Distress Oxides, watered down,
and the card front is placed in the wet ink, picking up random sections of ink.  It
is then dried and touched up adding more ink.  The main image is stamped
over the background with Archival ink/Jet Black.  The paper is torn on one edge
and then mounted on brown and green cardstock.  The card front is then attached
to a folded card base.  The arrow is added and then colored in
with watered down Distress Oxide ink.  The sentiment is stamped and then the
cardstock paper is torn to match the card front.  Buttons and twine are
 added to complete the card.

Go to Word Art Wednesday to link up a card and view all the beautiful
created cards being displayed.

Stamping with Stampendous! and Clear Scraps~

Hi guys!
Your read right, stamping with Stampendous! and Clear Scraps.
I have a couple of projects to share using Clear Scraps wood
shapes with Stampendous! stamps I have never just stamped on wood, treating
it like paper but I did just that.

I created a short tutorial, with photos, to show how this was put together~
#1.  The wood hearts were sanded lightly and then painted with a coat of acrylic paint.
 Color you choose~
#2. The image was stamped on the wood using Distress Oxide/Jet Black.  I heat set it with a heat tool.
#3. Acrylic paints were used along with a no.0 size paint brush.
#4. After the image is painted. heat dry, speckle with black acrylic paint.  I use an old toothbrush brush.  Gives you good control on the splats.
#5. The Stampendous! stamp set comes with a die, so I die cut the branch with leaves from green cardstock.

Another key ring was created using the same supplies, except for the stamp.
 Take a look~

Here is a short tutorial~
#1. This one was created a little different.  The stamp used is a 6"X 6" background stamp by Stampendous! and the wood heart by Clear Scraps is 4"X 4".  Sand the wood heart lightly and wipe down with a soft cloth.
#2. Add spots of color (Distress Oxide) in random areas on the stamp.
#3. Lay the wood heart on top of the inked stamp and press all around making sure the heart has been inked.
#4. Heat set with a heat tool and then splat lightly with black ink.
#5. Punch a hole in the top of the wood heart, add an "o" ring and trim with fabric strips.

Products used:
Clear Scraps: 4" wood hearts
Stampendous!: Monkey with die set
Stampendous!: 6" Fern Garden stamp
Ink: Distress Oxide
Paint: DecoArt
other: "o" rings, fabric, cardstock

Wonder Woman Collection by Paper House Productions~

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Paper House Productions Blog.  I
have created a second scrapbook page using the Wonder Woman Collection
 by Paper House Productions.

This page has a fun spin to it.  My grandson has many hero figures but not
Wonder Woman, so the theme for the page is "her" Wonder Woman.Showcasing "her" Wonder Woman on this pattern paper by Paper House Productions.

The tags/foil paper has really cool patterns and tags that can be used in
different ways on a scrapbook page.  The stars are cut from the tags/foil
papers with a steel die.

The stars are randomly placed, on the scrapbook page, to bring in more of the red
color. Foam adhesive squares were used to adhere the paper stars to the page.  Love the
dimension it gives the stars and how they add texture to the scrapbook page.
One of the tags/foil paper is used at the bottom of "her" Wonder Woman to showcase
the star of the show "her". The gold arrow is cut from the tags/foil paper.
The big gold "W" was trimmed down to create the arrow used in this
 cluster about "her" Wonder Woman.
The faux enamel stickers were placed under the "her" cluster.  The gold color,
on the sticker,  brings your eye to the gold foil paper border used under
the photo strip. Paper is an amazing creative tool.  If you can think it up,
you can make pretty embellishments for a scrapbook page or journal book.

Inspirational Blog Hop with Joy Clair ~ Day 2

Hi guys!!
What an exciting day two, the new stamps from Joy Clair are here.
Today we will be showcasing the stamps from the Color By Faith Collection.  If you are following along you should be coming
 from
 Martha Lucia's blog.

I will be creating with the Be Wise set by Joy Clair

and using Bazzill cardstock.

Using modeling past and a stencil a background was created on the Bazzill cardstock.
The sentiment strip was stamped out and repeated until the length of the
card was reached.  The strip was matted on white cardstock and then on the blue cardstock.
The small images were stamped out on white cardstock, trimmed out and
added to the card front.  They were adhered with foam squares for added dimension.
Twine was added to the top of the card.

Inspirational Blog Hop with Joy Clair~ Day 1

Hi guys!!
What an exciting day one, the new stamps from Joy Clair are here.
Today we will be showcasing the stamps from the Everything Occasions Collection.
If you are following along you should be coming from Jowilna's blog.

I will be creating with the Best Dad Ever set by Joy Clair
 and using Bazzill cardstock.

This is a fun set that can be used for all kinds of craft projects.  The images would be great on a scrapbook page.  I created a mixed media type background and then stamped over it.  Distress Oxides  inks were used with the bottom tool border.  Water was splatted, over the stamped border, creating the blurred image.  Working with tools is messy!
The stamped images were embossed with black embossing powder and trimmed out.
The stamped images were than adhered to the card front with dimensional foam squares.

AAA Card Challenge ~

Hi guys!!!
I'm creating along with AAA Card Challenges. A new
challenge site to me, but a fun one.
The challenge theme is "Up To One Thirds" and a optional
twist is creating with bright colors.  The card is created in the clean
and simple style.  That means white space, have some!

My card is created with all of those elements in mind.
I may have gone over one third ~

I used a stencil to create a small focal point to attach my stamped image in.
The Kraft cardstock is stamped with a flower corner, colored in with
alcohol markers and then matted on coordinating cardstock. The sentiment was stamped
below the focal image. Buttons were added and cardstock corners were punched out
and added to the focal image. The bottom mat was given a torn edge. The
card front was matted on a folded Kraft card.

I design for Joy Clair (affiliate) and with my card I'm hoping to inspire, encourage and
invite you to visit the Joy Clair Blog and

link up a card, you have created, over on the
AAA Card Challenge Blog

Our Hero~ Wonder Woman with Paper House Productions!

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Paper House Productions Blog.
I'm sharing a scrapbook page showcasing the Wonder Woman Collection
by Paper House Productions.  This collection had me scratching my head
and then I remembered this photo of my mom.  I thought it was perfect!!!

I used two different coordinating papers from the Wonder Woman Collectionand layered them with one of the border papers, from the collection. The tag/ foil
paper made a cute cover for a private journal space

A white tag is attached to the tag/foil paper, from the Wonder Woman Collection and the story is written and then clipped to the tag. It can be easily removed,
to read the story,  but still private.

The Wonder Woman cardstock stickers make great embellishments, to enhance
and showcase a special photo or space, on the scrapbook page.  I used them
both ways on this page.  The date tag/white tag is stamped to
document this amazing day!!!  Bits and pieces, of stickers and paper, work
great for a small embellishment cluster in a corner of the scrapbook page, you
are creating.    This collection is great for that hero in your life.  It comes with many
products that can be included on your scrapbook page or a journal page.
