Dictionary Page Background Stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
Today I'm sharing a newly released background stamp called
Dictionary Text by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. This stamp 
looks great (and so vintage) on all kinds of focal
image stamps.  I even used an embossing folder on one
of my examples. 

The blue card on the left is showcasing an embossing
folder over the stamped background stamp.  I then added color using
panpastels.  The small butterflies are stamped and cut out and then
added to the card front.  The card on the right is a mixed media type 
surface. I used Distress Oxide inks over the stamped background 
stamp.  The silhouette stamps were added next and the sentiment
to the card front.  Stickers were used for the year. 
Adhesive used is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Art Journal Spread with Hand Carved Stamps and Katzelkraft Stamps~

Hi guys!
Between hubby's double knee replacement surgery I was 
able to create an Art Journal (2 pager) using a set
of my hand carved stamps.  I also added stamps by
Katzelkraft.

I'm really enjoying the stamp carving and then using them
in my Art Journal.  So fun!!

The background is acrylic paint with some ephemera, adhered
with collage medium.  The hand stamped piece is highlighted 
with a mix of the Distress Oxide ink that the birds were
colored with.

Sets used by Katzelkraft are : Les piafs/KTZ 151, Les nombres/KTZ 273 and
Whatchamacallit/KTZ 276.  These stamps can be found at Topflight Stamps.
The leaves are hand painted in (but would make a great hand carved
 stamp). The sticker by Tim Holtz.  Adhesive
is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L. Links are in side bar.

Tell Me the Story of Jesus by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
Today I'm sharing a newly released background stamp
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps called Tell Me The Story of Jesus.
It looks like the sheet music for the song so it makes a great
background for scenery stamps. These are examples I created~

The background stamp is stamped with Distress Archival/Hickory Smoke.
I love the vintage look it gives the card.  The focal images are
stamped with Archival/Jet Black ink.  The color is added with Distress
Oxides (watered down) for a watercolor effect.  Word stickers are added
on the card fronts. Adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Left card~ Buck, Doe and Fawn, The Grove.
Right card~ Bridge and Stream, Birds 2. Panpastels
are used for this card.

Nature Tag with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

Hi guys!
Today on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog I'm sharing
a mixed media Nature Tag.  The 3D Foam Squares Micro White
were perfect for the branches and horns, to adhere them
to the tag.  This is a stamped tag with lots of color!

Adding Hand Carved Stamps to an Art Journal Spread ~

Hi guys!
I started carving stamps again and I really have
missed the creativity it provides for a "maker". 
I started with simple shapes to create a
pattern that can be stamped over and over.

I used some stamps by Darkroom Door also to complete 

and add interest to my art journal page. I will list all
supplies at the bottom of the post.

This spread won't mean anything to anyone else but it does to me and
that what art journaling is all about.  The pages are colored with Distress Oxide
 ink, watered down.  Just painted it over the pages.  I used
Distress Medium Collage to adhere small pieces of the hand carved
stamped piece that I created. 

I then added vintage dictionary paper from my stash.  Then with 
Archival/Jet Black I stamped images from six different Darkroom
Door Stamp sets.  The leaves are colored with Distress Oxide
inks and highlighted with a white gel pen.

I added the word strip stickers by Tim Holtz using 3D Foam Strips by 
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  The stamps represented from
Darkroom Door are: Garden Birds, Number Medley, Fine Leaves, 
Grunge Marks, Stitched Borders and Global Postmarks.

Tree Bark Background Stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I'm sharing cards made with the newly released background
stamp called Tree Bark by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
It is a fun background that can be used different ways.
Let me show you~

The top two cards are examples of a up close Tree Bark and the bottom
example is the stamp turned horizontal for an ocean view. 
 I used panpastels to color the Tree Bark Background.  The other
elements are taken from stamps by Blue Knight. 
Top card~ Sloth (leaves), Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly.
Middle card~ Sloth (leaves), Beach Bird (bird).
Bottom card~ Foot Bridge (sail boat). Also used a fish stencil.
Adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

1 John 4 Background Stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps ~

Hi guys!
Today I'm sharing the newly released 1 John 4 stamp by
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This is a background
stamp and looks so cool paired with scenery stamps.
  The silhouette stamps look amazing also.

These were created using Panpastels for color and Archival inks. The
ink used for the 1 John 4 background stamp is Distress Archival/Hickory
Smoke.  I didn't want the background to bleed through on the focal stamps.
Adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.
Top card~ Other stamps used: Palm Tree Beach, Birds 2.
Middle card~ Silhouette Grazing Horse, Birds 2.
Bottom card~ Flying a Kite.

Snowflakes Card with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog and 
we are bringing in a new year.  Hoping for a creative and 
inspiring year!!   Today I'm using the 3D Foam Snowflakes as
embellishments to add to a mixed media style card. 

As always I have all the details over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Blog.  I used Perfect Pearls to add a glittery shine to the 
3D Foam Snowflakes.
