Darkroom Door~Stars in a jar!

Hi guys!
Hope you had a great weekend.  I have been playing with some
of the new releases from Darkroom Door and they are fabulous!!!
Here is a card I made ~

Products used~
Paper: Jillibean Soup, white cardstock.
Ink: Archival/Ranger, Tim Holtz Distressed Ink/Ranger
Other: Rhinestones/Jenni Bowlin Studio, twine, Labels/Tim Holtz.

To get the stars in the jar ~ Stamp two jars (cut the middle out of one) and use it as a mask, covering the lid and sides of the jar. Stamp the background stamp over the center (the jar you want the stars in) and you have stars in the jar!
Clear as mud~right!

gone junkin' Friday~

Hi guys!!
Got lots to show you, so here we go~
I found these items at a high priced Antique Show in our area.  There was one booth that was packed full of little items, that were cheap!  Stuff like keys, typewriter keys, children's alphabet blocks, small stamps and tons of game pieces.  I had a blast going through everything. This is what made it to the car~

 Glass  Alka-Seltzer bottle ~ $2
I have buttons in it.

So happy to find this~the biggest Floral Frog I have . 6" size of a saucer
They had $16 on it and I got it for $14

The keys were .50 each. I love the flat kind, great for metal stamping.
The typewriter keys were .50 each.  They had trays and trays!

This was a cute find.  The 6 (on the L) was $1 and the 666666 (on the R) was
$2.  They stamp good, just need to be inked up heavy and stamped on a flat surface.

They had buckets of these Alphabet Blocks~all sizes and you could tell some where really
old and some where not. They  were .50 each.
I got the initials of my new great nephews.

I have four more junkin' posts ~ all really cool stuff.  So stay tuned~
Thanks for going junkin' with me~
We got the good deals today:)

Cards on a Stick with Clear Scraps!

Hi guys! I'm here with "cards on a stick".  Great for a potted plant or a candy jar. Just stick them in what you want to use as a gift.  I used the Butterflies Mirror Embellishments and the 6" Doily Stencil by Clear Scraps. Here's what I came up with and how I made them~

June16

Instructions:
* Peel the film off of the Mirror Butterfly Embellishments by Clear Scraps.

June17

* Stencil the Doily image on the front of the butterflies with black StazOn Ink.  Let dry.
* Use a paint pen and add the paint dots around the Doily Stencil. Let dry.
* Collect up some cards and pretty papers. Layer them together and staple in the center
* Punch a hole on the top and one on the bottom.  That is what you run the stick through.  Depending on the size of stick is going to depend on what size of hole you will need to punch.
* Adhere the Butterfly Mirror Embellishment to each cluster of papers.  I used hot glue.
* Add twine or other embellishments.
* All ready to sign and add to the gift.

Quick Quotes~A Special Page!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using more of the February Club Q Kit by Quick Quotes. By using the tags, in the kit, I was able to add five photos to this page~

The tags have a photo on the front and back.  Under the tag would make a great hidden journal spot. Love the look of the mini flip album, that the tags make.

Try It Tuesday~simple cards with the "Misty" tool!

Hi guys!!!
I have the "Misty" to share with you ~a very cool tool to try
especially if you are making sets of cards that you want to be exactly the same.

First let me say~I purchased this, mine to try, all on my own:)
I saw some video's on it and loved the simplicity of it.  That is what peaked my interest.

This a very simple set I did for my mom, who loves cards that are
 not embellished.

Each one is the same just stamped on different card colors.  Once you have the stamps
lined up and attached to the acrylic cover you are ready to stamp.

Made a cute set and took no time at all.
If you are interested~look up "Misty" on You Tube.  Tons of tutorials
on how to use this but really, so easy and so COOL!!!
to create these cards.

Quick Quotes~Cards using the Sheer Joy Word Strip!

Hi , Connie here with a set of cards using the Sheer Joy Word Strip by Quick Quotes.  I was able to make a three card set using scrap papers from the Joy Ride Collection.  I love using up little pieces of paper, it's like  free cards!

My idea was to make cards using a grid design.  My papers were small, so I pieced together the fronts of the cards.  The background paper is Joy Ride. It worked perfectly!!  I also used small pieces of Catalina Island.

Try It Tuesday ~ Create a Vignette!

Hi guys!
I ordered the May Magpie Kit from JBS Mercantile.  I loved it and wanted
to show how easy it is to make a little vignette to display the vintage goodies.

I used a vintage pan ~

I added some "kraft grass" for lack of a better word and then started to
arrange the contents of the box into the vintage (chicken feeder, angel food pan, ?) pan.
The bird nest fit perfectly in the center.

The contents of the Magpie Kit made this easy ~ so many cool vintage pieces.

Check out the sweet Mother Heart Charm ~ love that!

I added the egg and the "6" ~ cause I love them both:)

So give it a Try~
Collect some awesome "things" and make a vignette.
