Praising HIM tag set with Creative Worship Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing my 3rd project for
Creative Worship Stamps.  I will be creating a mixed media
 tag set, with Women of Praise (love this set).    

When I'm creating sets, it is just as easy doing one as it is three. These were 
fun to create and I loved how the Funky Textures 2 made some cool
borders for the bottom of the tags. The tags are created together, in
assembly line fashion. The only thing is different praise people and
different words.

The tag is a hand cut tag (no die).  When I create with them I like them bigger.
This is about a 3 1/4 W x 5 1/4 L (not counting the stamped borders).
I did a mix of Distress Oxide inks and then added the stencil.
Then came a mix of stamps, going for a messy look. 
 The borders were than prepared for three tags. Stamped, colored and  
cut out. They are stapled to the bottom of the tag. Added a fabric
tie and button to the top.  Did all of this two more times.

Once you get one done, two more go fast.  The last thing I like to
do is speckle with white acrylic paint.  An old toothbrush works
good for this.

 marker pen and white acrylic paint. other: fabric, twine and embossing powder.

You Are Deeply Missed ~ art journal page

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing an Art Journal page I
created in memory of my grandson.
He went to be with the Lord March 16, 2025.
He would have been 17 years old.  He is missed
terribly.  I think about him like this and it helps me
 so much!

I created a mix of colors using Distress Oxide for the background.
It is an easy and great way to get a colorful background.
I then added the silhouette stamps and then filled in
with stencils.  I just keep bringing the colors from the 
background to give the page a balance. 

The title and scripture are added with much reflection. 
The large letters are from the Worthy King Alpha by
Creative Worship Stamps.

Happiness Blooms Tag Set with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps~

Hi all!
Today I'm sharing a couple of mixed media tags using
SNS-22-020 Happiness Blooms by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
These were really fun to create!!!

 
I used Distress Oxide inks watered down.  Add the color by laying
the tag in the ink.  Add one color at a time. Layer!!! Then I started
building the design.  I added SNS-13-054 Typewriter Text
Background stamp then SNS-22-020 Hapiness Blooms stamp
for the focal of the tags.  Color with Distress Inks that were used for
tag background.

Up next is the Grunge Dots Stencil and the Mixed Up Stencil 
(love this one, lots!!).  Last add in more stamps SNS-21-003
Going Postal is a great one for this kind of art!  To complete
the tags speckle with acrylic paint.  I water the paint down
and apply the paint to an old toothbrush.  It gives you
more control on where the paint will go. Try it!!!

These would look beautiful in an art journal or tied to a
gift bag.  All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Sitting Cat Tags with Darkroom Door~

 Hi!
Today over on the Darkroom Door Blog all
the details are listed for this fun Cat Lovers Blog Hop.
Darkroom Door is a sponsor and that is why I
created a couple of mixed media style tags for the hop.

I used Distress Oxide ink for the background along with stencils 
and stamps by Darkroom Door.  They will be listed at the bottom
 of the post.

I'm using the Brick Wall stencil for the background along with
a collage piece of text paper.  Part of the sentiment is computer
 generated.

This one I'm using a lined background stamp and I love how it worked

Art Journal Spread with Hand Carved Stamps and Katzelkraft Stamps~

Hi guys!
Between hubby's double knee replacement surgery I was 
able to create an Art Journal (2 pager) using a set
of my hand carved stamps.  I also added stamps by
Katzelkraft.

I'm really enjoying the stamp carving and then using them
in my Art Journal.  So fun!!

The background is acrylic paint with some ephemera, adhered
with collage medium.  The hand stamped piece is highlighted 
with a mix of the Distress Oxide ink that the birds were
colored with.

Sets used by Katzelkraft are : Les piafs/KTZ 151, Les nombres/KTZ 273 and
Whatchamacallit/KTZ 276.  These stamps can be found at Topflight Stamps.
The leaves are hand painted in (but would make a great hand carved
 stamp). The sticker by Tim Holtz.  Adhesive
is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L. Links are in side bar.

Saluting Soldier by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

 Hi guys!
I have  a couple of cards to share using Saluting Soldier
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  My dad was a soldier
so I love this military stamp set. 

The first card, the image is stamped on pattern paper in three sections.
I used a stamping platform, so I could re-stamp as many times as needed
to get good coverage. The sentiment and stars are from the God
Bless America set.  Archival/Jet Black ink is used for the stamping.
The second card, the background is a collage of acrylic paints to resemble
camo.  The saluting soldier images are stamped and cut out. 
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L is the adhesive of choice.

Getting Organized with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

Hi guys!
Today is my turn on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.
I'm using the Self-Laminating Pouches/Cards XL by
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  They make a great cover/
protector for an organizing notebook or pages (as in my case).

I have a vintage file board (for lack of a better description) that I

Spring Bunny by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi Guys! 
I have some cards to share using the Spring Bunny
By Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  It is really cute
and screams SPRING, just like the name!!!

I can just see these cards in an Easter basket!!!

Card #1 

The image was stamped on pattered paper and colored

with PanPastels.  It is done very loosely so some

white highlights show on the image.  The card front was

 double matted, with coordinating cardstock, to 

complete the look.

Card #2

I used a matte coated cardstock for this background and it really
gave me a unique look.  I used Distress Oxide, watered down, and
ran the paper through the mix.  The ink really moved
around.  I heat dried it and then added another color.  I really love
the results!!  The bunny is colored with Distress Oxide inks. I 
also used More Precious by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps for
the sentiment.  The card was matted to complete the look.

Mini Open Book by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I'm sharing one of the new Eclectic stamps
called Mini Open Book by Darkroom Door.
Super cute!!!

The first one is the butterfly, in the Open Book, card.  I used the Distress
Oxide inks to make a mixed media type background.  I added stamps and stencils
to complete the background.  The open book is stamped on beige mixed 
media paper and cut out.  Text is stamped and then the butterfly is added.

The second card is really easy to whip up in a short time.
  Love those kind~

The background is created with Distress Oxide inks and a 
Darkroom Door stencil.  The background is
splattered with water for the distress look that I so love.
The open book is stamped out, cut out and added.  I used Scrapbook
 Adhesives by 3L to keep everything in place.

Try It Tuesday~adding stamps in image!

Hi guys!
 I have a technique to share and it is a fun one!! It is addictive too!
I used the Path to the Barn stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps 
and added smaller stamps to create more interest.

PanPastels were used to color images.  Green acrylic paint steepled on the

Hi guys!
I have been creating Art Journal pages and loving it!!!
I'm using stencils, stamps and ephemera to add interest
to the pages.

Products used are Darkroom Door, Blue Knight Rubber Stamps and
 stencils from Topflight Stamps.  The background was created using
acrylic paints and a brayer.

Products used are Darkroom Door, Wow Embossing Powder, PaperArtsy,
stencils and white gel pen.  The background is created with modeling paste,
stencils and acrylic paint.  These products can be found at Topflight Stamps.

This page was created for Wanderlust 2020/Rachel Grieg's class.

Abstract 08 by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the newly
released stamp called Abstract 08 by Darkroom Door.This is a fun stamp and goes so well with the other abstract
 stamps in the Darkroom Door product line.

These are created on the #10 size manila tag by Ranger.  On both of these tags
 the background was created with Distress Oxide inks.  The bottle tag is stampedwith Number Medley set to give that aged and vintage look.  The succulent tag
 is stamped with the Abstract 08 stamp in random places creating a
background for the Succulent images to be clustered together.  On both
tags the focal images were stamped and then trimmed out. The images
were then adhered with dimensional adhesive to the tag front.

Med. Pallet Mason Jar by Clear Scraps~

Hi guys!!
My turn on the Clear Scraps Blog!!   Super fun project using the newly released Med. Mason Jar and All Create 4x6 stencil by Clear Scraps.   The Med. Mason jar is in the pallet family of shapes created by Clear Scraps.

Instructions:
1. Sand lightly and wipe off with a soft cloth.
2. Paint jar lid gray and body of jar a color of your choice.
3. Sand again for a distressed look.

4. Create a guide for the stencil so the spacing will be correct.
5. Move the stencil according to where the breaks in the pallet board are when you are applying the words (ink works best for words).
6. Stamp the paint brushes (Darkroom Door) out on watercolor paper and trim out.  Color the brushes in with watercolors or markers.

7. Adhere the paint brushes with Beacon 527 along with a few paper flowers.
8. Splat with white acrylic paint lightly.

9. Wrap the jar lid with twine and then tie on ribbon. Fold the ribbon in a figure eight pattern and then tie on.
10. Use crop-a-dile to make holes in top of mason jar for a hanger.
These are fun to create and what great gifts!!!

Gone Fishing with Clear Scraps!!

Hi guys!

It is my turn on the Clear Scraps blog.  I will be sharing how the newly

released  XL Wood Vintage Truck was created using stencils and paint.

Super fun project!!

Instructions:
1.  Sand the truck lightly with sand paper and wipe off with a soft cloth.
2. Paint the truck with acrylic paint of your choice.  Mark off the tires.
3. Paint the tires black and the hub caps gray or silver.
4. Paint the side bars brown.
5. Sand lightly and wipe off.

6. Create a fishing pole out of a yard stick.  Attach it to the side bar of the truck.
7. Apply the "gone fishing" stencil by Clear Scraps to the front of the truck.
8. I used Jet Black Archival ink. 

9. I used the 6"Beach Fun and 6"Ocean friends stencils to add the fish and hook to the "gone fishing" (I wanted it to look more like a logo on the side of a truck).
A few tips to keep in mind when creating this project~
Rubbing Alcohol will take off the acrylic paint in case of a goof up.  Remove the problem area and then touch up with more paint. I use cotton balls.
To get the tires round (without a stencil or guide) I use my pinky finger as a stabilizer (like a compass) to get the shape of the top circle.
To put the "gone fishing"on~first apply the "gone" above the rear tire and then apply "fishing" above the running board.
One more~I used ink with the stencils and not paint. You will get  really crisp words this way.
