Walk by Faith with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the Walk by Faith
stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I usually shy away from purple but in this case it was needed.  I love
what the color purple added to this card.  The sentiment is awesome too!!!

 Card#1
The sky was added using the colors from the Day & Night of PanPastels.
The elephant image was stamped several times using a stamping platform.
The trick is getting a strong ink coverage for the silhouette elephants.

Card#2 ~
The second card was created the same way except the purple was left out and a deep
blue was added. It is kind of a royal blue. Very pretty!!

PanPastels:  Day & Night set
other: twine, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, cardstock

Palm Tree Beach by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the newly released Palm Tree Beach
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This is a really fun stamp and I
enjoyed creating with it.  The PanPastels are perfect for adding color
to this stamp.

Card #1~
I started with this color pallet ~

Added color and then blended it out with the colorless blender by PanPastel.
I used the Sunrise & Sunset set by PanPastel.  Tags were added with dimensional
adhesive for that extra pop.  To get the white foam look, on the water, use an
eraser to remove some of the color at the tip of of the water waves.

A Silhouette Christmas card with Joy Clair!

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair blog.  I will be sharing a
card created using the Santa's Coming set by Joy Clair.
It has some really fun silhouette houses that are amazing!!
I used my Misti (stamp platform) to get the houses lined up straight and then stamped them out on gray cardstock.  I used Versa Fine Clair by Imagine Crafts.  I love the deep, rich black color it produces.  On a silhouette type stamp the ink is important. You want good coverage of color.  The wreath was colored in with dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.  This card could be backed with different colors of cardstock (like traditional holiday colors) and look amazing.  I used silver cardstock with the gray.  Love the look!!
The house were splattered with white acrylic paint.  I use an old toothbrush and watered down paint to get a good snow look.   The card is adhered together with 3D foam squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful holiday!!!

3D Christmas Poinsettia Card with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today!!
I'm sharing a card I created using the 3D Christmas Poinsettia stamp
set by Joy Clair I really love the 3D effect.  Tons of dimension!
The background, for the card, is Distress Oxides watered down and dabbed on the cardstock.  I dry the ink after each color is added.  It is really fun to layer the colors to get the exact look you like. I added stencils and modeling paste for more interest and dimension. The flower petals were stamped on white cardstock, colored and then trimmed out.  The Poinsettia flower was put together with a small brad and adhered to the card front with strong adhesive.  The card is outlined using a white gel pen.  The tag is created and attached to the card front using dimensional adhesive.

The Poinsettia flower petals are coated with a glitter pen (not showing in the picture).   The berries are acrylic red paint, applied with the small end of the stylus.  Works great and no mess!!  These 3D Poinsettia flowers are really fun to make and look gorgeous on projects!

Supplies used:
stamps: Joy Clair/ 3D Christmas Poinsettia
stencils: ARTplorations/stencils by Helen G.
paper: cardstock
adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
ink: Distress Oxide, Versa FAine Clair/Nocturne
modeling paste: Faber Castell
twine, white gel pen

Trick or Treat with Joy Clair & Imagine Crafts

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair blog.  We are doing a cross promotion
with Imagine Crafts and I'm loving the Versa Fine Clair ink. New favorite!!!
The turkeys and pumpkins are winners too!!!
I really love the pumpkins in this set.  Looks like pumpkins you see in a pumpkin patch.  They look perfect showcasing the "turkey".  I started creating this card by stamping the background out on mix media cardstock.  I used the Wood Background stamp by Joy Clair and the Versa Fine Clair/Nocturne ink by Imagine Crafts. The turkey and the pumpkins were created using the same technique.  I used Distress Oxide Ink and made washes (3 different inks) and then colored the mixed media paper to create a solid but not perfect colored paper.  I stamped the turkey and pumpkins on the colored paper and trimmed out.  The images were adhered to the card front using dimensional foam adhesive.  The sentiment was stamped and a wooden heart was added.  The turkey eyes were outlined using irRESISTible Embellisher/Wedding Dress by Imagine Crafts to complete the turkey.
Twine was added and then the card front was adhered to a folded card. To complete the card, irRESISTible Embellisher/Tuxedo Black by Imagine Crafts was splattered in random spots on the card.

Turkey Talk with Joy Clair & Imagine Crafts

Hi guys!
It's my turn on the Joy Clair blog today. We are doing a cross
promotion with Imagine Crafts. I got to create with some new products
(to me) that I really like!!!

The background, for the card, was created using the Falling Leaves Background stamp by Joy Clair.  Each of the leaves were colored in with several different fall colors of Distress Oxide inks.  The Turkey was stamped out on a mix media type background created with watered down Distress Oxide inks.  The Turkey was trimmed out and then double matted on a background created using the Broken Brick Background by Joy Clair.  The size is about 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" .  Twine was wrapped around the bottom of the turkey and then adhered to the card front with dimensional adhesive.  All the stamping was done with Versa Fine Clair / Nocturne ink by Imagine Crafts.  The black splats are created with the irRESISTible Embellisher/Tuxedo Black by Imagine Crafts.

To complete the double mat the turkey focal in the center of the card.  Double mat on coordinating cardstock and adhere to a folded card.  This is such a fun set and has so many possibilities for creating cute "Thanksgiving" cards or place sitting cards for the special day.

Acrylic Scalloped Scrapbook Page with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a scalloped edge acrylic scrapbook page using products by Clear Scraps.  I have created a short tutorial, to give a visual, of how the page was created.

Clear scraps_acrylic page1_c. mercer
Four photos were collaged to make a film strip type photo and then mounted on solid paper.  The pictures are of a hail storm that came through our area,
a few days ago.  The only one I can remember while living in this area of Texas.  Pretty exciting, too!!

Clear scraps_acrylic page2_c. mercer
Pattern paper was chosen for the scrapbook page.  The "Mother" chipboard word by Clear Scraps, was inked with Distress Oxide, coated with clear embossing powder and then using a heat tool embossed.  By embossing the chipboard word, the word stands out and the word has a shiny texture.  Remove the plastic film from both sides of the acrylic before adhering the pattern paper to the back of the acrylic.  Trace the shape on the pattern paper and  cut out.  Adhere to the back of the acrylic with Beacon Quick Grip.  The background paint splats were added with irRESISTible / gold embellisher.  It sticks to acrylic really well.

 Clear scraps_acrylic page3_c.mercer
A journal pocket was created, out of a vintage library envelope, to hold the story of the hail storm that came through Belmont Texas.  What a day, is right!!!!

Products used:
Clear Scraps: XL Scallops acrylic sheet
Clear Scraps: chipboard word "Mother"
Beacon Grip Grip

Other:
irRESTISTible / gold by Imagine Crafts
S.E.I. paper
stickers
vintage library envelope and card

Hi guys!
This is a page I did using October Afternoon and Maya Road.
The picture was taken last year when we were all together.
I love documenting a photo when the grands are all together
  and loving being together.

Behind the photo is a Maya Road chipboard sprayed with
irRESISTible by Imagine Crafts.
The green flower is made from the paper twine by Maya Road.
Love that stuff. I have all the colors.  It makes it really easy to make a flower:)
All of the embellishments are by Maya Road.  The stickers are by American Crafts
 and October Afternoon.

Clear Scraps~ a tutorial!

Hi guys!!
I have a scrapbook page I did for Clear Scraps using the XL Dazed Shape .  It has the shape of a large postage stamp.  Very cool looking!!!
I wanted the clear to show, so I did it this way~

Instructions:
1. Remove the film from the front of the acrylic .  I always leave the back covered while I'm creating the page and then remove it when I'm finished.  No scratches that way.
2. Spray the front with Black irRESTible Texture Spray by Imagine Crafts.
3. Let dry about 30 minutes.
4. The middle strip of paper is 11 1/4" X 5".  I used the Hello Sunshine Collection by Kaiser Crafts.  Super cute!!!
5. Adhere the paper to the acrylic using Zip Dry by Beacon.
6. Embellish with cut outs and twine.
7. The two pumpkins are cut from acrylic sheets using the Tim Holtz Pumpkin Die.
8. Journal the information about the page.
Acrylic shaped scrapbooking pages look great displayed on a book stand and then later added to an album for storage.  Love the look acrylic gives!

Clear Scraps and Imagine Crafts~ perfect together!

Hi guys!!!
Clear Scraps and Imagine Crafts are showcasing projects all this week and I just
happened in on all the fun~

My project is a Mini Tab Key Chain album.  I shaded the outside pages with the black StazOn ink and used the Film Strip Border for embellishments, on the inside pages.  I used irRESISTible Colored Texture Spray by Imagine Crafts.  I wanted to see and feel the texture!

I loved how it covered and  it was easy. It does leave a rougher surface and it looks like air
bubbles on the Film Strip. I let it air dry for 30 minutes.  I then cut the Film Strip border into
three sections and used them in the mini album.
Inside pages~

Robot strip is by Darkroom Door.

Here is sneak of the other project I have up on Clear Scraps~
using the same Film Strip Border, but with StazOn Ink.
