Med. Pallet Mason Jar by Clear Scraps~

Hi guys!!
My turn on the Clear Scraps Blog!!   Super fun project using the newly released Med. Mason Jar and All Create 4x6 stencil by Clear Scraps.   The Med. Mason jar is in the pallet family of shapes created by Clear Scraps.

Instructions:
1. Sand lightly and wipe off with a soft cloth.
2. Paint jar lid gray and body of jar a color of your choice.
3. Sand again for a distressed look.

4. Create a guide for the stencil so the spacing will be correct.
5. Move the stencil according to where the breaks in the pallet board are when you are applying the words (ink works best for words).
6. Stamp the paint brushes (Darkroom Door) out on watercolor paper and trim out.  Color the brushes in with watercolors or markers.

7. Adhere the paint brushes with Beacon 527 along with a few paper flowers.
8. Splat with white acrylic paint lightly.

9. Wrap the jar lid with twine and then tie on ribbon. Fold the ribbon in a figure eight pattern and then tie on.
10. Use crop-a-dile to make holes in top of mason jar for a hanger.
These are fun to create and what great gifts!!!

So easy with Hedgescapes.com. ~

I have a new love!  It is succulents.  They are very trendy and you see them in all markets. Paper, stamps, home decor, antique to name a few.  I see them in vintage containers, on wreaths, outside, inside everywhere.  They are just so cute, plus they won't die.  They might get dirty and need to be cleaned but that is an easy fix.

I was pleasantly surprised at how realistic these beauties look.  You have to touch them to figure out they are artificial succulents.  Low maintenance is always appreciated around my home.  No soil, sun, or water needed to have beautiful realistic plants for your home.

Same applies to the outside of your home, Hedgescapes has you covered inside and outside. Hedgescapes also sell hedges, like an Artificial Boxwood Hedge, that will make the outside of your home beautiful. The Artificial Boxwood Hedge will give you privacy plus a beautiful manicured hedge that is extremely durable and 100% maintenance free,  just like the succulents.

Canvas prints with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with two stenciled examples, on canvas squares, using the 12" Sunflower by Clear Scraps.   I tried something new on my stenciling technique, a battery operated round stencil brush.  I love how it applied the acrylic paint and I love how it handled the stencil.  Let me show you~

The paint goes on so smooth and even.  Easy to add more color or add shading after the Sunflower is dry.  I continued to layer color on the Sunflower, using a stencil brush and sponges to apply the color to the leaves.  I used some distress inks to add color to the canvas.  I loved the 12" Chevron and the 12" Leaves stencil by Clear Scraps. After the leaves were added the canvas square had the Fall feel to it that I was trying to achieve.

Clear Scraps products:
12" Sunflower stencil, 12" Chevron stencil, 12" Fall Leaves stencil and  Bloom border stencil
Other: acrylic paint, ink sprays, canvas and buttons,

Clear Scraps~ home decor!

Hi guys!
I have a home decor piece to show you using the cover from the Overall chipboard album
by Clear Scraps.  This is a fun way to display photos.

The paper is by Kaiser Crafts.  The hanger it is on, is from a junkin' trip.
So a doll hanger would work great:)

All I did was tie the chipboard Overall to the hanger, after it was decorated.
This is what I used by Clear Scraps~

See ya soon~

Christmas with Darkroom Door!!!

Hi  guys!!!
I have a shadow box to show you using Darkroom Door's, new, Christmas stamps.

Instructions:
1. Emboss the ornaments, from the Brushed Christmas Vol. 1 & 2 set. I used two different gold tones of embossing powder.
2. Emboss the Christmas Tree and medium Star from Brushed Christmas Vol. 1 stamp set. I used white for the tree and gold for the star.
3. Fussy cut them out of the paper. I used a Christmas set of paper by Authentique. I stamped the images on this paper using Versa Mark stamp pad. Then set with a heat tool.
4. Each section of the shadow box is lined with pattern paper from the paper set.

5. Arrange the cut out shapes in the box sections.
6. The Christmas Script Background Stamp is stamped over the ornaments. All four of them, in Black Archival ink.
7. String the ornaments together with twine of jute
8. Arrange in the shadow box and adhere to the box. I used hot glue and pop dots to secure the embossed ornaments.
9. Stamp the Robin Eclectic Stamp and fussy cut it out. I stamped it with Potting Soil Archival Ink.

10. I added extra embellishments, pine cones, glass bulbs, bird nest (from our yard), old child's spoon (on top for handle). Whatever you have to make it your own.

Cool Stuff!!!!

Everyone has cool stuff or at least  what they think is cool.  Today I'm going to show my cool stuff that inspires me to be creative.  This  is an old door painted my favorite color , sage green, with Mercer platters on it.
Buttons really speak to me. I love the different shapes and colors!!! and the jars, so cool!!!

I'm not sure about this piece but I sure loved it and new it would fit in perfect in my scrappy space.  It now houses all of my Jenni Bowlin goodies!!!

This old utility scale is the perfect shelf for these old salt and pepper shakers.  I have many more than this photo shows and they have glitter in them~all different colors!!!! So inspiring!!!!!

Old doors and hardware are at the top of my "way cool stuff" list.  I love to decorate with them and have them all over my home ~ painted green of course!!

This one lives in the pantry.  This was a regular size door and hubby cut it down the middle to make this wall hanging for kitchen stuff!! I just love it~

and last is this very cool toy dump truck!!!  I made a matching game and put it in the bed of the truck .  The "grands" enjoy playing with the cards!!!
Thanks for stopping by and leave me a comment and tell me about your cool stuff .
