Hi guys!
So excited to be included in
Topflight Stamps 5th Birthday Blog Hop.
Do you see the 20% off? Always a good thing~
It's Topflight Stamps 5th birthday and time to celebrate, I’ve teamed up with some great designers to showcase celebratory projects using the unique products available at Topflight Stamps. Please hop along with us and see all the beautiful talent from this group of amazing designers! You should have arrived here from
(Rachel Kleinman)'s blog. If not, no worries, catch the details below.
I created two projects for the Blog Hop, One signature Topflight Stamps piece and a second
one using products from Topflight Stamps.
I had such a fun time creating this. I kept adding layers using acrylic paint,
stencils, collage papers and stamps. Starting from the bottom and building
to the front. Stamps were added to the painted background.
The collage papers were added next and more stamping. What I love about
mixed media type art is you can't mess it up. Just keep adding layers until you
get the look you are looking for. If it is too dark then add a light color of paint
to lighten. You can always fix it!!!
Stencils are amazing to repair areas that aren't appealing to you. Stamped
images cut out and placed and great dimension to the pages also.
Markers are also a great tool for highlighting areas of interest. The main thing
I hope you take away from this project is keep making art ~ don't stop!!
Products used: Darkroom Door: Sketched Numbers, Library Books, Number Medley,
Vintage Planes, Carved Leaves Vol.1, Birthday Greetings, Sm. Sketched Alphabet,
Faded Circles, Daisy Chain Border Stamp, Global Postmarks, Med. Smile
Stencil and Paper Artsy/Fresco Paints.
Second project is a mixed media card using stamps by KatzelKraft
and Darkroom Door.
The sky, sand and water are panpastels. So easy! I used the NEW Wild Waves Stamp
by Darkroom Door over the ocean to define the sky from the water.
I used the Circle Essential by Studio Light to get the Sun element
in the sky. The Elephant is from KatzelKraft/Elephant Watson and
the accessories are from the Les Accessoires set by KatzelKraft. Distress
Oxide inks were used at to the accessories and the Elephant. The sentiment
is from the Relax Quotes by KatzelKraft. The sand shape is by
Acetate Hill Masks/Lavinia. Very cool tool to have when you are
building the scene.
Thanks for stopping by and hope
you enjoy all the amazing
INSPIRATION!!!!
Connie
PS~ If you spend $50 or more you will get a darling little purse notebook (while supplies last)
with your order. I saw it ~ guys., so cute!!! Just between us!!!
