To Be Jolly by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!!
I'm continuing to create with the new release by
Darkroom Door. Today I'm sharing small cards created using a
small stamp called To Be Jolly.

You can find all of the small stamps HERE!

These little cards are 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 .  They are created using scraps of
pattern paper.  I love creating with bits and pieces.  I trimmed the stamp
so the tree is separate from the text.  The text was rearranged and then
stamped on white or beige cardstock.  Double mat the sentiment and
adhere to the folded card.  Add twine.  Stamp small tree and trim
out. Tie the tree charm on the ends of the twine.

I arranged the small stamp like the photo shows and stamped it with
Archival /Jet Black and Leaf Green.  I added red berries with
acrylic paint and then speckled with black and white
acrylic paint.  The tags were created from scrap pieces of Kraft cardstock
and a corner rounder was used to create the rounded edges on
the bottom of the tag.

Products used:
Darkroom Door: To Be Jolly Stamp
Archival inks/Ranger
Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L/foam squares
other: JBS/old patter paper, acrylic paint, twine

Birds On Tree Photo Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I have been creating with the newly released stamp by Darkroom
Door called Birds On Tree.  It is one of four new Photo Stamps
added to the current line.  Super cute, too!!

First Card~

This is pretty straight forth stamping with some fussy cutting involved.  The Birds
On Tree/Photo Stamp is stamped on white cardstock, with Cobalt Archival ink,
and shaded with Distress Ink / yellow shade. Mat on navy or black cardstock
and then a yellow cardstock, leaving about 1" at the bottom for the feather.  Adhere to a  white folded card.  Stamp the feather out  on white
cardstock using three different colors.  Add the ink in random spots on
the stamp. Fussy cut the feather image and adhere it to the bottom
of the card front.  Add the sentiment from the Whimsical Words by
 Darkroom Door.
Add twine and splat with black ink.

Second card~
This was really fun to create and I love how the Birds On Tree worked so
well with the Filmstrip Border Stamp.  I stamped the birds, three times, with
different inks. The images were cut down the middle and three of the images
were used  to create the filmstrip card.
Stamp the filmstrip border stamp on white cardstock
and trim it out.  I trimmed it with my paper trimmer. It is then cut down
the middle creating two borders, one for each side of the Birds On Tree image.
Adhere the filmstrip border to each side and attach to a folded card.
Cut 1/8" black cardstock dividers for each section. You will need two.
Adhere with wet glue and let dry.
Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock, trim out in a word strip and adhere to
card front.  Splat with black ink.  Stamp the numbers from the Vintage Office
set in upper left corner.

Last one,  a card set~

These are really easy to create and super cute (I think).  Stamp two Birds On Tree
image using brown ink on white cardstock.  Stamp two images in
two different contrasting colors (that will go with the brown ink).  Cut those
images in half creating a top layer for each card.  The layer is cut about 1/2"
on each side making it smaller. With dimensional foam squares pop up the smaller
image and adhere it over the brown image. Use the Vintage Office set and
stamp the numbers in the upper corners of the card fronts.  Using the Stitched Borders, stamp
up on the top of the smaller image, giving a stitched  look. Stamp the
sentiment (from the Love Birds set) on Kraft cardstock, trim down to a strip and
adhere to card front.  Adhere card front to black cardstock and then to a folded Kraft card.
Splat with black ink.

Card set created with Clear Scraps!

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Clear Scraps Blog I have created three (4" X 4")
cards using the 6" Swallowtail Butterfly Stencil by Clear Scraps.
The butterfly seemed so perfect to help bring in Spring!

The card front is created on canvas using stamps, distress oxide ink and the
Swallowtail Butterfly stencil.  The canvas was then matted on white
cardstock and then a folded Kraft card base.  Vintage lace and buttons, along
with the sentiment, was added to complete the card.

Check out the Clear Scraps stencils, they carry many stencils that would
be excellent for this card design.

Try It Tuesday~summer happenings !!!

Our flowers are so off this year. They are blooming at the wrong time.  These are Easter Lilies {several different kind} and they are in full bloom as I write this blog post.  Kinda of crazy but I love the flowers, makes for a beautiful yard!!!  I thought this would be a cool thing to document and make a great ~
You know,  documenting something you normally wouldn't think to scrapbook.  Just an idea.  So this is my Summer 2013 in full bloom.  May be several years before this happens again, who knows!!!
I used some bits and pieces of Farm House, kraft cardstock and some JBS embellishments.

********************************************

We have these guys roaming, should be in the pin but.................long story, but a funny one:):):)
When were making our way back to Texas from Indiana we junked all the way home.  We found this
egg scale.  Our gals aren't laying eggs yet, but when they do, we can grade the eggs.    I'm hoping for some extra large eggs:):)

Just another cool junkin' find~

I will post the winner on the 4 mini stamps by Avocado Arts tonight sometime, so you can still leave a comment to get your name in the mix:):) HERE.
Also you still can link your junkin finds up too. I would love to see:)
gone junkin' Friday is still open~
