Best Friends Mixed Media Tag ~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media "Best Friends"
tag using some of my favorite products.  I will list at
the end of the post.

I did a mix of inks, Distress and Oxides to get the worn, vintage look.  The tag
is stamped and distressed more, by adding washi tape and acrylic paint splats.
The paper doll (friends) is colored in with distress inks. I just used the ink
colors I had used for the background. 

Supply list: Stamps: Blue Knight Stamps/BG Branches, Creative Worship/
Typewriter Keys Caps Alpha, Studio Light/Jennie's Mindful Sent & Wishes
and tag, Creative Expressions/Ledger Stamps. Inks: Distress, Distress Oxide
Versafine. Other: Tim Holtz/Paper Dolls, AALL & Create/washi tape.
Add the die cuts using dimensional adhesive, to the tag, along with the
sentiments.  Add a yarn tie and a button charm:) 
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
It is hard to mess mixed media up, so I hope you will give it a go!!

Art Share Tags~

 Hi there!!
I have been creating mixed media tags, my favorite way
to create, these days.  I'm using some retired stamps, from
Blue Knight Stamps, with some of the
current Mixed Media Stamps.  Always fun creating tags to
share with friends!!

I created this set together.  Working on each tag separately but designing a 
set of tags that showcase the different ways stamps can be added to create
a different tag/card front. I stayed with the same stamps for all 
three tags. The ink is Distress Oxide. I used Peeled Paint, Cracked
Pistachio and Crushed Olive for the background mix. Speckle with
white acrylic paint when tag front is finished.

Stamps: Blue Knight: Tiger Swallow Butterfly/retired, Rejoice Always/
retired, Reverse Sentiments, Mixed Media Numbers, and
Background Branches. Adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. 
Paper Doll people by Tim Holtz.

Mixed Media card set~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a couple of mixed media cards using
stamps and stencils by PaperArtsy.  I love to 
create crazy colorful backgrounds and then add
in paper dolls, for the focal.  Cool words are a must!

I start by watering down distress oxide inks and laying the cardstock in
the ink.  Just dip in and out!  You can dab off or let the ink soak in.

Another fun thing to do is spray water on the ink mix and then dab off. 
Gives a faded out look on the card background. 

I go for a distress look, so lines and color aren't perfect!  
Products are by PaperArtsy, Tim Holtz/paper dolls and
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I purchased the stamps and stencils
at Topflight Stamps.

Spring Mixed Media Tags~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing some SPRING mixed media tags
using stamps by Creative Worship.  Can you tell I
really love creating with these stamps? :) 

I started with white, heavy cardstock for the tags.  Then I added color with a mix of
Distress Oxide inks. I then added in the leaves and element stamps.  Next
the stencils called Mixed Up and Cross Stitch are added.

For a really fun look mix up the ink colors. 

I added vintage lace to the bottom along with a label and Paper Dolls by
Tim Holtz.  The silhouette stamp is next. Stamp using a stamp
platform (like a Misti), so you can repeat stamping, for a strong inked image.

Add the sentiment on each tag with dimensional adhesive.
All adhesives are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

These were really fun to make!!

Vintage Button Tags with Buttons Galore & More~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing some vintage inspired chipboard tags
embellished with buttons by Buttons Galore & More (affiliate link).
The chipboard tags were pre made that I found in my stash.

I love the paper dolls, so I added those in and then embellished with
buttons, twine/ homespun fabric and a cheerful sentiment strip.  These
will be fun on a gift package or the Christmas tree. 

To complete the vintage and distressed look, the tags are 
speckled with white and black acrylic paint.  The added snowflakes

 are from the Mix Upz/Pastel Blizzard.

and adhered with 3D Foam Strips by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Grateful Mixed Media Tag~

Hi there!!!
I have a fun mixed media tag to share using red rubber
stamps by Paper Artsy (bought
from Topflight stamps) called ESN 67 and HP 2401.

I really love the color mix of Distress Oxide inks for
the background.  I used Prized Ribbon, Wilted Violet, and
Twisted Citron.  I also used texture paste and a stencil 
when creating the background along with the stamps by
Paper Artsy.

I also added buttons dangling from a pear pin from
the Spring Value Pack by Buttons Galore & More.  See picture below.

The sentiment is embossed using WOW! Embossing
Powder on black cardstock.  Then adhered to the tag using
3D Foam Strips by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  The
Paper Dolls are by Tim Holtz.

Striped Hammock by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps ~ NEW!!

Hi all!
Today I'm sharing three cards using the NEW
Striped Hammock by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

The top left card is created using the Day & Night Panpastels
pallette.  The Striped Hammock is colored with colored pencils.
Makes it easy to get the thin lines. The sentiments is from
the One Line Sentiments/blessing.  The bird is added from the
Birds ll set.
The other two cards are created in the same way.  I had fun
adding in the Tim Holtz /paper dolls for a different look.
The backgrounds are a mix of Distress Oxide inks, watered
down, like a wash.  The Striped Hammock image is 
stamped over the background with Archival black ink.
I added leaves from the Sloth set and the greetings
are from the One Line sentiments/blessing.
All adhesives are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Paper Doll Tags with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

 Hi all!
Today I'm sharing a couple of Paper Doll Tags and the very
 trendy, wax seals over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.
  I'm using the 3D Foam Squares White Mix to adhere the
wax seals to the tags. Works so great
and adds beautiful dimension.

Small Vintage Label Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi all!
Today I would like to share a couple of
tags created with the NEW Sm.Vintage Label by
Darkroom Door.  So cute and goes great with
the Lots of Labels set.

The tags are created in the same way, just different stamps used.
I wanted to create a Mother's card and Father's card so the stamps
reflect that. 

The background for the tags is the NEW Handwritten Ledger set with
Archival black ink. The Fine Leaves are colored in with Distress Oxide
ink.  The Sm. Vintage Label is stamped and then trimmed out.

The Vintage Office set was stamped with Archival ink in random
 spots.  The label is added along with the paper doll on each tag.
The hanging strip is using the NEW This Happened set.  I added
embossed sentiments to each tag.  Love the white words on black
cardstock.  Other products: Father's Day Sentiments, Mother's Day

Messy Mesh Abstract Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi all!
Today I'm creating with the NEW Abstract stamp
called Messy Mesh by Darkroom Door.  It is a great mixed
media stamp to create with.  I worked up a couple cards to share! 

Both of the cards are created in the same way.  I used Distress Oxide
to create a messy mix for the card background.  The NEW  Handwritten
Ledger stamps were used along with the Messy Mesh stamp to add to
background clutter (my term) :):).  The paper dolls/Tim Holtz were added
and sentiments for adhered with the proper message. 


Stamps added are:  NEW Messy Mesh Abstract, NEW Made For You,
NEW Handwritten Ledger and Border Stiches.

Stamps added are: NEW Messy Mesh, NEW Snail Mail,

Small Stamps by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!
Darkroom Door has come out with the cutest small stamps and
I had the good fortune of creating with a couple of them.

First up is Who What Where When stamp.  Great for a party invite
or scrapbooking. 

The background is created using the NEW Small Checkered stencil.
It is really cute!!! So many ways to use it too!!!  I added some Tim Holtz
Paper Dolls to the top of the stamped Who What Where When image.
I used the Alphabet Medley stamps to add the words to the
Who What Where When image. The script word is
from the Birthday Greetings set, also new!!!

Next is the Mark The Date stamp.  It is another stamp that is great for cards
and scrapbook pages.
 

On this one I used the candles, behind the Mark The Date image and added
 the script word Celebrate from the NEW Birthday Greetings set.
The Small Checkered stencil is used as the background. Distress Oxide is the
ink on both cards. The adhesive used on both cards is by 
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Father's Day Sentiment Stamp by Darkroom Door ~

 Hi guys!!
I have some Darkroom Door for you today.  They have a
 new release of stamps and they are wonderful!!!
All of them!!
I'm working with  Father's Day Sentiment Strip
Stamp.

Both cards are created in a similar manner.
The background is Infusions/Green Man on mixed
media paper.  The Filmstrip stamp is used to create
interest on both cards but in a different way. 

The Sketchy Stars are always fun to add in the design of the card.
I love an eclectic look!!!

Both cards are adhered with adhesive from
Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Television and Sketchy Stars stamps by Darkroom Door~

 Hi guys!!
Today I'm sharing cards made with the Television and 
Sketchy Stars Eclectic stamps by Darkroom Door.
Here is a look at the release~

I will be sharing the bottom two at a later date so come back!!!

A mixed media background was created and then stencils and the 
Television stamp was embossed and placed on the card front.
Products used: Television, Sketchy Stars, Take Flight,
 Number Medley and the Brick Wall stencil small.
Other: Distress Oxide, Archival ink and black embossing
powder by Ranger.  Adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Background for card was created with the Sketchy Stars
and then embossed. Elements added to create the card. The Television
is stamped and then a scene is added to the screen. 
Products used: Darkroom Door: Television, Sketching Stars,
Dream Big Sentiment stamp and Montage sheet (retired). 
Other: TH paper Dolls, embossing powder, Distress Oxide and
 Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Created a background using stencils and then added vines and stars
Products used: Sketchy Stars, Lots of Labels, Fine Leaves and
Awesome Med. Stencil.
Other: Distress Oxide, Archival ink and clear embossing powder
 by Ranger.  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L was used for the adhesive.
