Mixed Media Project #3 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing Project #3 using my NEW Mixed
Media products by Blue Knight Stamps.  The paper is the Mixed Media
Designer
paper.  Already for you to create with!

Supplies needed: Tall Pines, Reverse Sentiments, Dictionary Page/BG, Number Set and Matthew 1 Birth of Jesus/BG.
To create the background for this card I used Dictionary Page and Matthew 1,
with Archival Jet Black ink. I didn’t use a block or platform for this. Just use the stamp.
Ink up a corner of the background stamp and alternate going different directions with the stamps.
I love the look it gives the card. For the 965 numbers I stamped with colored ink and positioned
in a triangle pattern. I used the DL# stamp (only the lines) and went different directions.
I used the other end of the same stamp to get the letters and symbols. Then I put the background
on the stamping platform and stamped the Tall Pines using Versafine/Blk. Onyx. The Reverse Sentiments are stamped three times using the inks colors of the card background.
I used Distress Oxide: Mowed Lawn, Broken China and Versafine/Blk. Onyx.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Mixed Media Project #2 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi There!
Today I'm sharing Project #2 using the NEW
Mixed Media Designer paper ,with the stamp
products, by Blue Knight Stamps.

Supplies needed: Sil. Birds & Grass, Numbers, Reverse Sentiments Stamp. The focal stamp (Sil. Birds & Grass) using Versafine/Blk. Onyx, on the card front, using a stamping platform, to get strong coverage. Using single stamps, from the numbers set, ink up with coordinating inks and add them to the card front. I don’t put the stamps on a block because it is much easier this way to stamp between the grasses. This would be done with colored ink. I used Villainous Potion Distress Oxide. Next use the 393851 stamp (using the rule of 3) and creating a triangle. You will notice it is more about repeating the color, so don’t stress. Then I added the large star, again rule of 3 and triangle. Then using the Reverse Sentiments use either the Brushed Corduroy or the Villainous Potion as the ink color. This is to show you it is OK to use colored inks for backgrounds, not just the black that we all love to use. Black does have its place though. It’s all good. Side note: You can set the platform up and stamp the background that way also. I find when doing it this way if you only want part of the stamp, you have options. A good example of that is the Provisions stamp. I only stamped the numbers. If you have it on a block or platform it would have to be masked off. This is way easier.
I love making the backgrounds for Silhouette stamps.
The card just pops and I love the
messy look:):).

Mixed Media Project #1 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!!
To start off the New Year I have a series of
tutorial type projects that I have created a
step by step PDF for using the Mixed Media products I
created for Blue Knight Stamps It is a nice jumping
off place if you need to know where or how to start.

Starting from L to R ~ 1. Apply ink to the top R corner and the L bottom
corner of the Dictionary Page/BG stamp. Don’t try for a straight line, let the ink
fade off. 2. See second photo. 3. Follow the map and add the rest of the images to
create the background. 4. Stamp out sentiment and trim out. Add focal silhouette
image to card front.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Here is another example using this same pattern just different designer paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Each week I will be sharing, through January, a different card
showing different techniques.  Hope you will stop by!

Special Delivery Tag with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing a fun, festive, mixed media tag
using products by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. I'm
using the Rural Mailbox stamp and coordinating
die as the focal for the tag.

The tag background is a mix of inks.  I like to use Distress Oxides.
The images are colored with PanPastels.  The mailbox door is left open
(cut two of the doors and adhered in open position) giving the stamp a
different look. The ivy branches are also from the Rural Mailbox die set.
The sentiment is added from the Reverse Sentiment set.  The Special
Delivery sentiment is computer generated.
Also used are the The View
from my Yard/ stamp
and die (birds), Music Notes and Mixed Media
Numbers set.
I added homespun fabric, as a tie, along with a pear pin and
button.  Last I speckled with white acrylic paint.  The hearts were added with
red acrylic paint.  All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Post-It-Note ideas with Blue Knight Stamps Mixed Media Products~

Hi there!!!
Today I'm sharing some crafty ideas for
Post-It-Holders.  These are great for an office
friend gift or stocking stuffers.  I'm using my
new Mixed Media products by Blue Knight Stamps.

I was pretty excited when I found the craft color Post-It-Notes on
Amazon, so now you know where my inspiration came from.  I didn't
keep track of measurements, I just created.  Once you get one done
then the measurements are worked out.
1. L top corner ~ I covered a library card holder with the NEW
Mixed Media Designer paper then stamped it with the
Dictionary BG stamp. I added the Mixed Media Numbers,
BG Branches and the Reverse Sentiment (Just a Note), to the front.
Tied with home spun fabric and added a button.
2. R top corner ~ I created a folder using craft cardstock and scored
in the middle (for the Post-It-Note pad) to sit. The cover is a 2 3/4" square.
I added a scalloped border to the bottom of the Mixed Media Designer
paper
and stamped with the BG Branches and Reverse Sentiments. Twine
and a button were added.
3. L bottom ~ This one is really easy!  Just cover a coaster or chipboard
with Mixed Media Designer paper, stamp with the Mixed Media Numbers
set and the Reverse Sentiments.  Add a clip and tie with homespun and
a button to the top of the coaster.
4. R bottom ~ This one is the same as the folder design (on top).
Supplies are the same.  I sewed homespun fabric, antique trim
and an antique button, on the cover, for a vintage look.

Some other examples.  These are really fun to create.
The Mixed Media products by Blue Knight Stamps
make them really cute :):) I packaged them in clear bags
and will share with friends.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Thanks for stopping by!
It's not to late to make these. Super fun!!
