Christmas Tree with Buttons Galore & More~

Hi, Connie here with Buttons Galore & More design team.  I have a fun and festive project to share today using one of the Foundations Decor pieces, Christmas Tree with Presents.  The embellishment bottle, O'Christmas Tree added some green sparkle along side some really cute Christmas buttons.

Supplies needed:
Foundations Decor/Christmas Tree with Presents by Buttons Galore & More
Christmas themed buttons/Tree Trimmers and December 25 by Buttons Galore & More
Embellishment Bottle/O'Christmas Tree by 28 Lilac Lane
pattern paper
strong adhesive
acrylic paint: red and beige
wire cuters
ink (for shading)

Steps in creating this Christmas decor piece~
  1. Paint sides and back of the wooden shapes, with arcylic paint, that are not to be covered with pattern paper.
  2. Trace the shape on pattern paper and trim out.

      3. Shade paper with ink and adhere to wood surface.   Turn glued side down and let dry.

Repeat the process for the packages that set under the Christmas tree.  The ribbon shapes were painted, also with acrylic paint.  The fun part is always decorating and adding beautiful embellishments and Buttons Galore & More has plenty of gorgeous buttons!  Use a strong glue to adhere the Christmas buttons after sniping the shanks off with wire cuters.

After the embellishmensts are adhered, speckle with black ink.  The embellishment bottle by 28 Lilac Lane is full of small clear seed beads, green sequins, different sizes of green tone buttons and small pearls.  So pretty and so perfect for projects of all kind.

Such a cute and easy project for the whole family to join in on.  Buttons Galore & More has a great selection of Foundations Decor pieces to create for the up and coming Holidays.  Not just for Christmas either. Be sure and check out the many selections of crafty and fun projects for celebrating and decorating your home this Holiday season.
