Supplies needed:
Shaker Mix/Deck The Halls by 28 Lilac Lane
Clear acetate film
chipboard
diecut shape/Polaroid
pattern paper
Christmas deer stamp
black ink
strong adhesive
stickers
Holly leaves
vintage trim
Making the shaker shape~
- Using a diecut machine, cut out 5 or 6 shapes that will be used to make the shaker from. I used light cardboard and cut 5. You will need to pick a shape that has a opening in the center, like a frame die.
- Glue 4 of the shapes together with a pattern paper print as the back.
- Cut one shape using the pattern paper of your choice. That will be the frame for the shaker.
- Glue the last shape and the pattern paper together.
- On the back side of the pattern paper set glue the acetate.
- Add the shaker mix and glue the pattern paper frame to the chipboard set.
- The shaker is ready to adhere to a card front.
Layer pattern papers on the card front and adhere the shaker. Continue to embellsih with stickers, buttons, holly leaves and the stamped image (deer). Add the vintage trim to the bottom of the shaker, along with the card sentiment. I call shaker cards "fancy" cards that scream "special person". They are fun to make and so pretty!!! But most of all they will be loved by who ever recieves them and that is a good thing!
Hope you are inspired to create a shaker card and use the beautiful Shaker mixes by 28 Lilac Lane. The colors are amazing together.
