Try It Tuesday~ Art, my way!

I have a really cool project to share.  It is a re-purposed project.  I really don't

 know what to call them  so I'll just show you~

I took these metal stars ( found at flea market ,many moons ago) and made some wall Art out of them.

Not sure what they are but I liked them~

I made a cardboard back for the stars and covered them with some pattern paper. 

This is by Kaiser.

I stamped some birds using the Scribbly Birds by Dina Wakley (love them).  Then some leaves using the Carved Leaves set by Darkroom Door.  Then some sentiments using both of these sets and some from Dyan Reaveley.

After all of that was done, I started putting each star together~

This is what I came up with~

I used hot glue so you have to work fast when you are gluing the back on the star.  The second one is off, but I figure when they are all hanging together it will look fine. That's what I'm count'in on:)

CHA 2015 ~ Clear Scraps!

Hi guys!!

I have some pictures to share with you of the Clear Scraps booth at the

 Craft & Hobby Association Show in Anaheim California ~ going on right now! 

I was thrilled when I saw some of my Clear Scraps creations in the booth~

Screaming to my hubby " that's my 6" !!!!

Word frame ~ "Family"  ~ mine!

This one even made the label, as the example of how to use the product.

First ever label for me :)

Five of the projects showcased here are mine!!!  Another label too.

I will be showing all the projects individually over the next couple of months

 on the Clear Scraps blog and mine. 

I don't know who made the dress out of Clear Scraps products~ I wish I did, so

 I could announce publicly how gorgeous it is :) and give her/him credit!

 and different shapes!!

Quick Quotes ~ inspiration from quotes!

Hi Connie here with my first post for Quick Quotes.  I'm so excited to be sharing with you a decor piece, using the Quick Quotes Family Bundle as my inspiration.

Instructions~

1. Cover wood block ( 5 x 7) with the Celebrate paper.

2. Ink around all edges with Coal Miner ink.

3. Double mat the quote card found in the Family Bundle.

4. Ink around the edges with Coal Miner.

5. Ink the date frame (Bag o' Chips) Coal Miner also.

6. Cluster Metal flower by Quick Quotes next to date frame.

7. Adhere all embellishments to frame.

8. Add spool knob to top for decoration.

9. Use a stick pin to add photo strip.

Epiphany Crafts~ Rhinestone charm!

The last project I did for Epiphany Crafts using the EC Round 25 in the Round 25 

 Rhinestone Charm setting.  It dresses up a gift bag

 really beautifully.  Love the extra special touch it adds:)

My brother makes goats milk soap and that is what this gift is about:)

Avocado Arts~ Adah & Asher's cards!

Hi guys!!!

Over Thanksgiving two of my grands made some cards, using stamps, by Avocado Arts~I want to share them.  I think they are really good and so cute :)

Asher~

He colored the image in with water colors.

This is the set he used~

I thought for sure he would go for the car ~ never know!!!!

She used this set~

She used markers to color her images.

This set was designed for kids!!! Look for more sets to be added.

I love both of the cards and I'm glad they love to craft and make handmade gifts!

I have  a set of cards I did for Epiphany Crafts that I would like to share with you

for Try It Tuesday!

 The cards are about a 4 x 4 size.  The snowflake stencil is by Clear Scraps.  The EC 25 Flower

 tool is by Epiphany Crafts ~ I thought it made a pretty snowflake too!!!

 Sentiments are by Darkroom Door.

Acrylic white paint for the cards and ink for the muslin bags~

By stenciling a muslin bag it makes a super cute gift:) ~ so complete, ready for gift giving.

Try adding a bag next time:)

makes all the difference!

Only one sheet of acrylic ~ Clear Scraps!

Hi guys!

I did these projects for Clear Scraps.  I wanted to show how easy it is to use one

 sheet of 12 X 12 acrylic, instead of glass, to frame a photo or altered project.

  First up~

I clipped a sheet of acrylic, over the scrapbook page ( to protect it from "little hands" ).  Very cute wall art decor and so affordable:)

Next up~

A photo frame/display piece (Prima) ~ I wanted this to be more of a shadow box type frame so I added the acrylic to enclose the frame.

I added "memorabilia" to the frame also.

40 years of marriage :)

~

I made a pencil shading of the opening and that is how I measured as to what 

size and shape the acrylic needed to be.  Using my scissors, I cut the shape out of a 12 X 12 acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps.  The back of this frame comes off and that

 made it easy to fit the acrylic front in place.

I secured the picture on the back plate, filled my bits and pieces in  and then closed it up.

The embellishments around the frame are made using stamps by Darkroom Door.

Also used are Jenni Bowlin Studio (paper), Tim Holtz and Ranger (ink).

I great keepsake celebrating 40 years together!!
