Jenni and Elle's Studio~

This is one of the layouts I did using some product from Elle's Studio.  Talk about a perfect merge of products these Company's work great together. I love the deep rich blue in the Elle's Studio paper it matches JBS really well.  The chipboard buttons are one of my favorite products by JBS.  I have way too many but ................... love the choice it gives me:):)

JBS chipboard buttons~you can see more of them HERE.  I have more Elle's and Jenni to share so come back:):):)

Organizing my beloved Darkroom Door~

Hi everyone~I decided this was not very organized.  It was taking me to long to find what I needed.  This is my work cart for Darkroom Door.   Everything Darkroom Door goes in here except my stamps~

I took all of the paper goods ~Photo Chips, Montage, Photo Booth and clipped the sections together with a binder ring.   So love this and easy to access.

I did the same thing for the word, alpha and film strips.  No more going through every strip to find the one I need.  When I use part of one, I tape it back to the original strip and put it back on the binder ring.

Keeps  every section together~

The Photo Chips the same thing~

So this is my work bin now~ love it!!!

I keep my collage, word, frame and background stamps in a binder.  I got these at the office supply store.  The sleeves are plastic and are 5 x 7.  This really works great for me.

Just wanted to share this with you.  A great way to organize your stamps and Darkroom Door paper products.

Try It Tuesday~Ammo Box re-purpose!!

Yep ~this is the before picture.   Just like it was given to me, from a sweet friend, right out of an old barn, mud daubers and all.  My hubby cleaned it all up for me which was a really nice surprise.  All I asked him to do was put wheels on it~

I also wiped it down really good and sealed it with a satin varnish, inside and out.

And here it is all loaded up with my Darkroom Door products.  This picture is what made me organize my Darkroom Door products.   I hope you find you a cool crate box and put some wheels on it, maybe a handle too.  Yep I'm going to add a handle when I find a really neat one.  Gives me something to hunt for when I'm out junkin'

Dictionary Stamping~typewriter and telephone!

Hi guys~more fabulous dictionary stamping.  I chose typewriters and telephones for my stamped images.  The top stamp is by Die-namics, the second one is by Darkroom Door and the third one is by Jenni Bowlin Studio.  They are stamped with Ranger Archival Ink/jet black.   I have also used Memento/tuxedo black.  I love the look on the vintage pages.

The telephones are by Avocado Arts {little one} and Darkroom Door.

Our family phone~a gift from my brother:):)

I know~I just dated myself!!!  Just something about a phone like this. Takes me back  to sitting on the kitchen cabinet, talking to my boyfriend.

Cigar Boxes ~ they are not just for cigars !

Hi guys~I've got cigar boxes on the brain!!!  This one was my grandfather's.  He loved cigars and these were named after him {well, they had the same name} Edward!  So wouldn't you think the same thing:):):)

My grandmother used them to store things in.  She had all kinds of stuff in them and she would always ask us ~ you need any cigar boxes?  Because they were to good to throw out.  I loved how they nailed them closed. My box still has the nail in it that she gave me.  It still has the clippers that she gave me also.  Told you she used them as storage boxes!!!  Little did she know how beloved they would become.

So that is our topic for Try It Tuesday and to help us out JBS has their mini cigar boxes on half price~awesome right!!!

This is the box I did of my Edward { not the King Edward}.  Love that picture of him~He is holding a giant shrimp that he caught in the Rio Grande River (the picture is the one that was in the local paper)

And here is the deal ~ $4.   You can find the cigar box HERE.
Have a great Tuesday and always thanks for stopping by!!

JBS, a bottle and Elle's Studio~

While on a nature walk back in 2009 I came across this bottle.  I took a picture of it but left it there, just like I photographed it.  Spring forward to 2013 ~ I went back to that exact place and the bottle was still there just like in the picture.. This time I brought it back to the house and cleaned it up.  It became a re-purposed project for Jenni Bowlin Studio.

JBS carries some really cool old labels in the Ephemera section of the Mercantile.  The label on this bottle is one of those.  I also used JBS feathers and butterflies.  The flowers are by Prima and the ribbon is by May Arts.

JBS is partnering with the fabulous Elle's Studio.  I have three more projects on the JBS Inspiration Blog.  You can see them HERE. Would love for you to stop by!!!

Try It Tuesday~another photo stand!

Hi guys!!!  The topic today~ stencils!!!   I am just starting to get into this so I'm starting off with a small project { I have a chair I want to do next:)  I'm using the Maison De Stencils:):):)  Love the designs.  I had a hard time deciding what to buy~so many cute stencils!!!

I used a vintage spool of thread {saw this on pinterest}. I used black acrylic paint and  a flat fabric brush to apply the paint.  Don't fuss over this, just use what you have:):):).  This is a cute and easy little project.

I used painters tape, to keep the stencil in place.  The inside part of the stencil has glue dots to hold it in place.  Worked good like this.  You will still find yourself  holding with your fingers.  It took a couple of minutes to apply the paint.  just up and down motions, don't try to paint it on.

The paint dried very fast.  I stamped a tag, added May Arts ribbon and a picture!!! Yep another photo stand.   I love making them.

And here are just some of my photo stands all lined up and looking cute~

Any unique item makes an adorable photo holder.  Hot glue a clip, cloth's pin. paper clip, etc. to your item, that you want to hold your photo, and you're all set.
