Try It Tuesday~ a couple shelf sitters!

Hi guys!!
I have a fun re-purposed project to share. It is pretty easy too!!!
I took Star Tart/Jello Tins and created  shelf sitters ~

Aren't these sweet.  I have never seen the Star type tart/jello tins before.
I have had sea shells and buttons on the brain lately, so that is where I started.
I also had the super cute Paper Dolls by Tim Holtz, so I used them too :)

I filled the tins with small sea shells and small buttons.  I stuck the paper
doll people down in the sea shell/button  mix.  Added a cute tag and call them "shelf sitters".
The paper dolls are made of a heavy paper which made it easy to stick in the mix of sea shells/buttons.  The "sister " shelf sitter really reminds me of two little "Hyde" girls.
 (Isn't my sister's bow pretty)
Just having fun creating!! Just remember it doesn't
have to be hard to make to be cute and fun!!

Numbers Border Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I have a set of cards to share using the Numbers Border Stamp
 by Darkroom Door.
This is really a fun stamp and I see lots of ways to use it.
So you will see it again~

Using the Numbers Background stamp by Darkroom Door a background was
created for the card.  The Numbers Border stamp was stamped across
the bottom of a 12 X 12 sheet of white cardstock and trimmed out.
It was then cut in half to create the bottom border for the card set.

The Eclectic/Pencil stamp by Darkroom Door was stamped on white cardstock, in different coordinating ink colors and trimmed out.

The colored pencil images were layered on the front of the card.
Using the Word Block/Creativity by Darkroom Door the art words were stamped
on white cardstock and trimmed out.  Added some buttons and speckled with black ink spray.
Four inks made up the color pallet.

Supplies:
Ranger ink
Divine Twine
S.E.I. Tumble dye (speckle card with)
Buttons Galore and More

Nature at its finest~

Hi guys!!
I have a little birds nest to share with you:).
We had some really strong winds come through and I found this under a tree.
This one is very unique and beautiful!!

The blue paper is from Easter confetti eggs and all the fibers from the dyer vent (I guess).
I think it is beautiful!!

So colorful.  How do the birds do it, weave such a beautiful home.

I had to do something with it so here is my creation~

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend~
See ya soon!

The Feathers Layering Stencil ~ new, from Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a few cards showcasing the new Feathers Layering stencil by Clear Scraps.  I created several cards, with this stencil, and each time the feathers were just beautiful.  I cut them out, shaped them (by bending up the sides and cutting into the feathers) and added foam dimensional adhesive, popping them up.

Such an easy project with gorgeous results!! I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks with the Feathers Layering stencil.  Foam squares were used to apply the PowderPuff Chalk ink. Worked great and shading was achieved.  I went from light colored ink to dark inks.  Clear Scraps has a great assortment of Layering stencils ~ check them out!

Filmstrip Border Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!!
Hubby and I went to the beach this past Friday so I thought these
cards would be fun to post.  I used the Filmstrip Border stamp by Darkroom Door.
I love that you can make two cards out of stamping the image
 one time on 12 X 12 cardstock.

I used the Seaside Inchies to stamp inside the filmstrip sections.  I used different
colors of ink for a blended look.  Several different colors of ink were used, that
coordinated well together (yellow, peach, orange).
The shells are stamped on white cardstock and cut out.

The Hashtags stamps by Stamper Anonymous made these cards really fun!!

Supplies used:
Darkroom Door: Border Filmstrip
Darkroom Door: Background: Woodgrain and Shells
Stamper Anonymous: Hashtags
Scrapbook Adhesives
Ranger Archival ink

Creating with Clear Scraps and Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here creating with Clear Scraps and Quick Quotes.  They look amazing together.  Both companies have beautiful and unique products to create with. I used the large Scalloped Portrait Clipboard by Clear Scraps and the Earth Wind Fire Collection by Quick Quotes.  Take a look~

April8
The inside frame was kinda of tricky to create, but fun at the same time.  I used a border punch and cut four strips and then connected them together. The edges were inked with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink in Navy.

The banner was fun to create.  One of the papers in the Earth Wind Fire Collection by Quick Quotes is made up of triangles, so perfect to create a banner from.  Just cut the paper in strips and then snip the triangles off.  I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink to shade the banner pieces.

Clear scraps_chipboard_powderpuff chalk ink_c.mercer
The "smile" chipboard word by Clear Scraps is colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink/Navy.  So easy and I love the coverage you get using this ink.  The chipboard word also has two coats of acrylic sealer on it to add in brightness and shine.  The stenciling was done using the 6" Chevron stencil by Clear Scraps and the Navy PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.

Products used:
Clear Scraps: Large Scalloped Portrait Clipboard, 6" Chevron stencil and "Smile" chipboard word
Quick Quotes: Earth Wind Fire: 109, 110, 500 and 101 ( triangle paper). Die cut chipboard sticker embellishments.
