Family Frame with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the large regular Landscape Clipboard and the "Family" wood script word by Clear Scraps.  Pairing these two products makes for a cute way to showcase a vintage family photo.  I started like I would create a scrapbook page and then added the word to the page, then clipped it to the clipboard.

Any pattern paper, that you love, is great place to start building the base of the clipboard.  This is not glued or attached to the acrylic clipboard.  I wanted the option of changing out the page and creating a new page for a new event or season.  Totally your call if you want to make it permanent or not.

The wood script word "Family" is painted with acrylic paint and then the edges were sanded down for that distressed look.  Adhere the word to project base with strong wet adhesive.  I used Beacon 527.   Last thing I did was speckle the project with watered down white acrylic paint.

My focal photo was a vintage photo from 1954.  Very special to me.  Tie seam binding on the clip for an added vintage look.

Clear Scraps: Large Regular Landscape Clipboard
Clear Scraps: XL Script Word "Family"
Beacon 527

Scallop Clipboard by Clear Scraps!!

Hi, Connie here with my take on the large Scalloped Clipboard by Clear Scraps.  I used one of the new 6" stencils and chipboard words,  to create a "Springy" decor piece.  I used some old pattern paper, from my stash, along with a vintage bingo card, that was gifted to me by a fellow crafter and friend.

Clear Scraps_scallop clipboard1_C. Mercer
The pattern paper was cut in half and then, using a tape runner, to attach the two pieces together making the paper 8 1/2" X 12".

The next step was to stencil the background paper using the 6" Shiplap stencil with black ink.  The "Home" chipboard embellishment was stamped with Distress Oxide ink and then embossed.  I love the texture it gives the chipboard word.

Clear Scraps_scallop clipboard2_C. Mercer
Attach the vintage Bingo card to front by placing it under the clipboard clip.  Adhere photos and paper embellishments, by layering the paper and tags, to create a focal point on the Bingo card.  Building a focal point of interest is really the fun part!!

To bring attention to the beautiful scalloped edges, of the clipboard,  Stazon ink was lightly applied to the edges, giving the clipboard a shadow look.  Once the clipboard was finished, black ink was speckled randomly, for a finished look.  Tip: Cover photos before speckling with ink.

Products used:
Clear Scraps: Lrg. Scalloped Clipboard
Clear Scraps: 6" Shiplap stencil
Clear Scraps: "Home" chipboard script word
Stazon ink/Jet Black
Beacon/Quick Grip

A Spooky clipboard with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a"Spooky" project using the Small Regular Portrait Clipboard by Clear Scraps.  Stencils and chipboard images came in handy when the decorating began but first I needed to give them some character.

Spooky1_clear scraps-chipboard_c. mercer
The "Spooky" word, the pumpkin and the spider needed some color.  First the pumpkin~
Spooky4_clear scraps_stencil_c.mercer
I used Distress Oxide inks when adding color, to the stencil, to get the shape of the pumpkin.  Water was sprayed, on the pumpkin carefully, to make the pumpkin looked aged and worn.  It was then cut out and stamped over the top, with a chicken wire stamp using black Archival ink and then set aside.

The "Spider" chipboard by Clear Scraps was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed using black embossing powder.  Red rhinestones were added for the eyes.

Spooky3_word chipboard_c.mercer
The "Spooky" word was inked with black Archival ink and then Stickles/Rock Candy was applied randomly to the letters, giving a drippy letter effect.   The pattern paper was adhered to the clipboard and stenciled with different images and shapes.  Layers of paper and die cuts were tucked behind the pumpkin.  The "Spider" was adhered to the top of the pumpkin.  A straw, ribbon and a charm were added to finish the project.

Portrait Clipboard with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with another idea for the large Portrait Clipboard by Clear Scraps.  My idea was to have it display a scrapbook page, that at a later date, I would put on a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and add to my album.

Cb1

The page fits perfect on the clipboard and will work great for a 12x12 scrapbook page. The clipboard is stenciled with the Doily stencil.  It is not adhered to the clipboard making it perfect for an album page and the clipboard is ready to display another creation.  A win, win !!!

Instructions~

  • Cut lrg piece of green paper to 8” x 10”.

  • Cut brown dot paper to 8 ½” x 11 ½”.

  • Stencil Doily on front in 4 places using StazOn ink/Brown.

  • Using the foam applicator (from stencil) dab on silver clip with StazOn ink/Brown.

  • Use StazOn Ink on the fence embellishment.

  • Corner round the bottom corners of the green and brown papers.  Adhere together.

  • Ink around all paper embellishments (lrg papers, 3x4 card and words).

  • Create cluster in the bottom Left corner.

  • Adhere fence, Doily and ticket to corner cluster.  Use foam adhesive or wet adhesive(Beacon) on the twine.

  • Title page and stamp out words or use words you have, to finish the word corner of the page.
