A Calendar project with Clear Scraps~

Hi guys!
I have a cute project to share today using one of the NEW products by
The project even made it's way to CHA 2015.  Pretty cool:)

I used the Desk Page Frame ( 5X7) and made a cute calendar for my work area.  It is constructed in such a way that it will be very easy to re-do the inside photo's and update it with  a new calendar year.  The calendar is clipped onto the front of the acrylic frame and the photo is attached to pattern paper (Shimelle) on the inside.  The calendar is a free printable from Maya Road.

And here it is in the Clear Scraps booth at CHA 2015.

For more projects using Clear Scraps products, visit the Clear Scraps Blog.

He still love's the game ~ with Bella Blvd.

A layout I did for my youngest son~I love that he still loves the game.  The top left photo is of him playing the game at 11 years old.  Always enjoying the game.  I used Bella Blvd pattern papers to tell the story.
The second pictures are of him and his wife ( she took the picture) at a Red Socks game, still loving the game:):)

A journal tip that I learned from Shimelle.
Have a great weekend~

Try It Tuesday~mini portfolio tutorial!

Hi guys!!!
Last year, about this time, I did a guest blogger spot on Shimelle
I showed 5 different ways to use mini pattern papers.  My examples were with Jenni Bowlin Studio.
Anyway I also made a few tutorials of these projects.  Shimelle has given me the OK to share them with you.
Below is a step by step on how I made this mini portfolio.  This was also a class at Craft Crossing last year:)) These are great teacher presents but really cute, so you'll want one for yourself.

Other than spotting a typo, I think you can follow it with no problem.
To see all the projects I did using this mini pattern paper by Jenni Bowlin , here is the direct link to Shimelle.
You can click on the picture and it will bring it up bigger for you.

Take me out to the ball game~

Hi everyone!!!! Busy day for sure, went to Craft Crossing and bought the new Lucky 8 Punch by We R Memory Keepers, I'll be posting soon on this . I got the round scallop edge, one of my favorite die-cut papers~now I can make my own!!!  This sweet layout is Chapter 3 of Shimelle's class over on 2 Peas.  It is simple but it brings a smile to my face when I look at that boy!!  I used Jenni Bowlin  and American Crafts for the title.

I need to get busy, I'm getting behind in the class.

Tomorrow is my last blog post for Helmar~I want to thank Helmar for the chance to work at that level !! What a thrill it was for me.  I have grown in my craft and will continue to grow and look for opportunities that scream my name~but they have to scream:):)!! I will be spending more time with my parents, so traveling is in the never future !
I have some really great stuff to share so stay tuned!!!
Have a great day and see ya soon!!

FabScraps, Helmar and Shimelle ~

Good morning everyone!! It is 3:00 am here and I can't sleep so I thought I would make a blog post for you. This is a layout I did for the class I'm taking with Shimelle {over at 2 Peas}~be sure and check it out { Hitchhiker}!!
Shimelle has the best ideas for when your stuck and when you need a starting place.  I used some of my stash, which makes me happy.  The paper is by FabScraps, a fairly new scrapbooking company from So. Africa.  Helmar partnered with them sometime back and I loved their paper line and unique embellishments.

The black doily flower is from Jenni Bowlin~love those too!!! A new fave of mine.  It seems they find their way onto many projects these days.  The little butterflies are by Prima **swoon**.

Just one more thing~when I was at my mom and dads last week mom gave me  this~

a handkerchief that was my dads.  She said he has had it forever and dated it around 1946-48. Very cool little treasurer!!!

Have a Blessed day everyone!!! See ya soon~

Shimelle's Class~with Jillibean Soup and Helmar

Have you ever started a layout by collecting your supplies up and then starting.  I'm taking the Hitchhiker Class by Shimelle at 2 Peas and that was our assignment!  I'm always up for a challenge~I just don't start that way!! I'm more of a fly by the seat of your pants type of gal!!!

The paper is by Jillibean Soup, Scenic Route { miss you} and October Afternoon stickers.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to glue it all down.  Hubby is showing off his Blueberry plants that have blooms on them, they have Blueberries now.  You know what that means~

The title is by American Crafts~
If you have a minute check out Shimelle's class ~ she leaves no stone unturned!!!  I enjoyed this process and I find myself picking out my paper and supplies before I start a layout:):)
See ya soon!!

Eight photos~

I finished my 4X6 Photo Love (Shimelle's class at 2 Pea's) over the weekend.  I used eight 4X6 photos.  It was kinda of tricky........ but what a treat to get it done!

This the first page a 8X12.  I used 3 Bugs in a Rug pattern paper.  The cardstock is Bazzill/Kraft.  I cut images out of the paper as my embellishments.  I wanted to just use the what came with this set.  I had stickers and the pattern paper.  If you are interested in this sketch you can find it here on Shimelle's blog

I used some Helmar Zapdots also.  Look to the left and you will see that the page protectors are sewed together.  The first one you cut the size of your layout.  In my case that would be a 8X12.  The second is a 12X12.  That keeps the event all together.  Brillant!!!  I even added his scavenger hunt map !!!

The title is on the second layout but it looks like it is on the first page~the 8X12.

It is not to late to join in on this free class sponsored by 2 Peas in a Bucket.   Next month it will be nine 4X6 photos.  I can hardly wait~before the class is over we will do twelve 4X6 photos!!! Hope you enjoyed this and if you are around this Saturday ~meet me here for the 2nd Annual Fisk-a-teer's Orange Blog HopSee ya soon!

Try It Tuesday~ this is a must try!!!!

Hi everyone~this is a super cool technique that Shimelle showed us {gals taking her Free class at 2Peas} yep~could be you too!  Anyway,  seven pictures on a single layout.  I loved that idea!  So here is my take on this sketch that you can find here~

The accordian piece will hold six pictures and then the mat beside it, the other one.  I'm not going to try to explain this because Shimelle does a video that is awesome.  The link is in this post to check it out!

Trying to show you how this folds in and then pulls out to view all of the pictures.  One of the spaces I used for my journaling.  I have done this sketch three times and I tweek it, each time, to my needs.  I love the fact that it holds seven pictures on one single 12 x 12 paper!

My supplies I used are 3 Bugs in a Rug, Prima, Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Epiphany Crafts heart button Studio and Oval epoxy, twine and Bazzill cardstock.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will check out Shimelle's class 4x6 Love at 2 Peas ~ Tell her I sent you over!!!  See ya soon!!
