Making Christmas Cards Special with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a couple of  Christmas cards using the new Holly Jolly Holiday Collection by Quick Quotes and just for fun, I printed out some Christmas cards, using a vintage photo, from my iP8720 Canon Printer Really happy with the results!

The card design is pretty simple.  Mat coordinating pattern paper to the cardstock base.  Shade with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks (listed below).  Add a smaller piece of coordinating pattern paper to the card front, shade with the chalk inks and adhere to card front.  Mat die cut image on cardstock and adhere.

Stamp sentiment, using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink, on cardstock and trim out.  Adhere to card front.  Add twine and small wooden embellishments.  The wooden embellishments are colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Colors beautifully!!!

I wanted to put a photo inside the card, so I came up with this (with the help of the iP8720 Canon Printer) ~

I got to playing around with the Image Garden (program that comes with the iP8720 Canon Printer) and made a card to go inside the created card.

I printed it in Gray ink on 4"x6" Canon photo paper.   Very easy and love the look!!!
Then I tried printing a vintage photo on cardstock ~

The trick on this one is to flip the photo (as shown in the top photo).  The cardstock size is 4"x10".  You will have a small margin
of paper to trim off.

I think certain family members will love these cards, so I will be printing more.

Tractor Time with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes.  The collection is full of bright and colorful paper designs, some bold and some soft.  I like the combination of both in a collection.

The photos are about a 3"x 3".  You can collage them on a 8" x 10" sheet of Canon Pro Platinum and print them out.  I used my Canon iP8720 printer for this.

The embellishments are created using stamps and Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.

I stamped the images, on white cardstock, and then, using a Q-tip, colored in the images with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Trim each image out and they are ready to add to your scrapbook page.

Layer papers in the center of your page, add the photos and then decorate with the stamped images.
Title your page.  The letter stickers are colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Makes it so easy to have the color you need for your title.

Friday Challenge 91 with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with this months challenge.  You know I love photo strips, on scrapbook pages, so I got to thinking~what about photo strips on cards.  They are easy to make and look great on a card.
So let's do this~

Instructions for photo strips:
* First find a small stamp and get your Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks out, you will need them.

*Using white cardstock make swatches of ink down one side.
*Stamp your small image in the center of the color swatch.
*Punch the swatch out with a square punch.  can be 1" or 1 1/2" doesn't matter.
*Cut strips of paper from the Secret Garden collection (CN103) and then down the middle. See picture.
*Mount square swatches on white cardtsock and trim out into a strip.
*Add Secret Garden strip to each side of image strip.  Cut the strip at the length you need for the cards.
*Stamped sentiment using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.
*Adhere to card fronts.
*Decorate with twine and pearls.

The Secret Garden paper is so bright and vibrant, I thought I would try to scan them into my computer and print them out as note cards.

*You will need to flip the image so it comes out the right way.  I added a little ink splats and a hand made stamp at the bottom of the cards.  The white cardstock size is 6" X 12".   The Canon iP8720 printer was used for this.  The cards printed beautifully.  I will be doing this again!!!!

The scanned and printed out cards are slightly lighter in color but they look great. and will be gladly received by someone.

Paper Bag Pocket with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes.  This is a beautiful, bright collection with lots of fun colors.  So pretty!!

This page has a total of five pictures.  Three of which are in a pocket on the side of focal pictures.  All the pictures were printed on the iP8720 printer by Canon.

The pictures are 4"x6" in size.

The title was colored by the PowderPuff Chalk inks by Quick Quotes.  So fast and always look great!!!  The pocket, for the extra photos, is a paper bag.  Just secure the paper bag under the main focal point, leaving the bag opening to the outside.  By doing that you create a pocket for extra photos or journal notes.

The folded card holds the other three photos and the journal notes, that tell the story.  All were
printed out on the iP8720 Canon printer.

The card just tucks in the opening of the bag.  It is great for journal
 entries that are private also.

Quick Quotes: Whistlin' Dixie chipboard die cuts (out of stock)
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Capri Blue, Bermuda and Midnight Confession

Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes~ a scrapbook page!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes.  The colors are rich and vibrant and so colorful!!!

The pictures were printed out on the iP8720 Canon printer.

I printed two photos on one 4"x6" photo paper.  I did this twice to get the four pictures I wanted to use on the page.  The pictures were adhered to make a photo strip.  It is such a good way to use multiple photos on a scrapbook page.  The focal photo was printed on the iP8720 Canon printer also.

The chipboard word was colored, using PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.  The banner was created out of the orange arrow paper from the Secret Garden Collection.  The flowers are from a flower punch I had in my stash and then shaded with the PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.

The journal strips were written in Word and printed out on the iP8720 Printer by Canon.

Quick Quotes: Secret Garden Collection (coming soon)
Quick Quotes: Whistlin' Dixie 500
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Inks: Sandy Shore, Sunset and Midnight Confession

#Barn Fun with Quick Quotes and Canon

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page, using stamps, with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  The picture collage was printed using the Canon iP8720 Printer.

First the collage~ easy with Canon iP8720 Printer.

The collage was created using the photo program on my computer.  The photo's are 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" printed out as a 5" x7" photo.  I trimmed an inch off the top and bottom making the photo a 5" x 5".  The photo was then cut down the middle.

Using the border stamp and Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink, the border was stamped on white cardstock and then cut down the middle.  The photos were placed on top of the white space (as seen in the first picture) and adhered down.  I repeated the process and ended up with a photo strip.

The banner stamp was used with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.  The image was trimmed out and adhered to the top of the scrapbook page.

The title letters were colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks and adhered to the page.

Flowers were cut out of the pattern paper and used to decorate the page.  The journal strips were created in Word and printed from the Canon iP8720 Printer.

The pattern papers were shaded with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Inks used are listed in the supply list below.

Products used:
Quick Quotes: Earth Wind Fire Collection
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Sunset, Cactus, Vanilla Cream and Midnight Confession

A Scrapbook page with Quick Quotes & Canon ~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the 49 Shades of Grey Collection by Quick Quotes and my iP8720 Canon Printer.  They pair up beautifully!!!

I started with a vintage photo about a 3"x4".  I scanned it in my computor and printed it out as a 5"x7" using my iP8720 Canon Printer.  I was really happy the details that came through by enlarging the photo.  I saw things in the photo that I had not noticed before.

I stamped the car iamge on white cardstock and colored it with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink. So easy and it looks great!!!

I use a Q-tip for quick and easy clean-up!

Strips of paper were punched using a scallop border punch to enhance the photo area. The borders were shaded with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.

A pocket was created and embellished to hold the journal card.  Stickers and die cuts were used from the 49 Shades of Grey Collection.

Scrapbook Page with Quick Quotes and Canon

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the new collection Spring Showers by Quick Quotes.  I used my iP8720 Canon printer to print out some cool clip art to create with.

First to create the collage, no problem with iP8720 Canon Printer and the Garden Image program that comes with the Canon Printer.  All you do is select the pictures you want collaged and then print.  So easy!

The next step was to find and print the clip art that I wanted to create with.  I googled tennis shoes and picked from that group.

The image was printed out on 4"X6" cardstock, then trimmed out.  The tennis shoes were shaded with Vanilla Cream powderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.  I loved the look the ink gave them, like they were will worn.

Because the shoe image was bigger than I had expected, I cut it in half and added half to the bottom of the page and the other half to the top of the page.

I stamped some text words, that related to how you would feel when you finish a 2 mile walk, with Deep Sea PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.  I then used the Deep Sea PowderPuff Chalk ink to color the letter stickers, so the words and title matched in color.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes: Spring Showers Collection ***coming soon***
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Inks: Midnight Confessions, Deep Sea, Cactus and Vanilla Cream.
Canon iP8720 Printer
Canon Photo Paper: glossy

other:
Darkroom Door stamp
Wendy Vecchi stamp
Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares
stickers
