Snowflake Award Clip, for chips, with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here to share with you a fun idea when taking chips or bagged treats to a party or to give as a gift.  The Snowflake Shaker by Clear Scraps comes in handy when creating a bag clip for yummy holiday treats!!  Homemade or purchased this will look so cute on the bags!!

Take strips of pattern paper and layer them, making an award badge. Ribbons, buttons, ticket strips all can be used to make the badge unique and personal. Place the Snowflake Shaker by Clear Scraps, at the top (after it is created) and attach with strong glue.

Using strong glue attach a small clothspin to the back, that is the clip that will allow you to clip the Snowflake award badge to a bag of chips or cookies.

Easy !!! Now the hard part~picking out treats to use the clip on!

I love the chip idea, goes great with a homemade dip to add to the gift.

This is easy to make and the Snowflake Shaker just adds that extra special pop to the Snowflake award badge.  After the chips are clipped, the Snowflake award badge will look great clipped on the Christmas Tree.

Supplies used:
Clear Scraps: mini Snowflake Shaker
Beacon
other: pattern paper, twine, buttons, ticket strips, embossing powder, sequin mix (for shaker), stickers and snowflake stamp with ink.

A re-purpose with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here to share with you an original design project using acrylic sheets and stencils by Clear Scraps.  This is a cute way to display and organize Christmas or Holiday cards.  In my case I'm using this to display vintage Christmas cards. Take a look~

Ch1

I used one acrylic sheet for the top part and stenciled it with the 12 x 12 Nordic Snowflake stencil (white acrylic paint) by Clear Scraps.  The pocket is a sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper cut in half. Adhere one to each side.

Ch2

I will be teaching this class at Craft Crossing TODAY!!!!!

Ch3

The hanger is a junkin' find from Florida.  The wood part is painted and stenciled with the 12 Nordic Snowflake stencil by Clear Scraps.  I know you will never look at a cloths hanger the same way again :)

Products used:
12 x 12 clear acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps

Other:
twine, pattern paper, embellishments, white acrylic paint, buttons.

Clear Scraps~ A beautiful acrylic box!

Hi, Connie here with a gorgeous Clear Box by Clear Scraps.   This was created to house my  homemade soaps and keep them fresh and beautiful.

Octbox1

The box is easy to assemble.  Follow the instructions on the label and you should do fine. That is what I did.  I used a regular tape runner to secure the paper on the outside of the acrylic box.  The feet were put on with Beacon 3-IN-1.

Octbox4

Octbox2

The front embellishments are secured with Beacon 3-IN-1 also.  Worked fantastic for this project.  The paper is a, really, vintage set by Basic Grey.  Yes, I'm working from my stash and I love it to see the stack get smaller.

Try It Tuesday~Just use what you have !

Hi guys!!!!
I love creating with what I have.  I have an idea and just go with it~making it work as I go.  This is an vintage mail box front (brass).  I wanted to make an interesting piece of Christmas Decor.  This is what I came up with~
The music paper is vintage, as is the Christmas ornament and Scrabble tile.  The photo is by Tim Holtz, the envelope by Maya Road, the Snow Flake is by Basic Grey and a few extras.  The envelope collage is adhered with large Glue Dots ( that's all you will need)

Here is the back~
Take note of how the frame sits on the hinge.  Worked like a charm:) Perfect frame
 stand and so beautiful!

and these are the parts I used to make this~

One gorgeous vintage door hinge ~ washed in soap and water, dried with towel.

Brass mail box front and door hinge cleaned.

The inside is prepared with felt, as is the bottom corners
(so, no scratching the table or surface) that it will sit on.
Very fun project. Get those interesting things out of the cabinet and make something  so you can enjoy those cool things that caught your eye.

Try it Tuesday~ Christmas in July!

Hi everyone~ I have my grands {three of them} for a few days and we have been crafting up a storm. They made t-shirts and all kinds of "kid art".  I even had them help me make an art apron ~ I'll be showing it soon~didn't get it photographed in time for this week.  So I decided to share a couple of layouts I did of last years Christmas.  I used Basic Grey /Figgy Pudding { one of my favorite} Christmas papers ever!! I used Helmar 450 quick Dry to glue the embellishments on.  Love how it came out and I love these pic's !!!

More Figgy Pudding and super cute pictures!!!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya soon!!

Ranch life~

Hi, it's Thursday and I'm still sick but on way to getting better.  This layout is over a year old and holds a place of honor ~ It show cases our first ever pear and.......It is one of eight layouts in The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages.  Very cool!!! The Book is filled of so much inspiration {you know that stuff I always talk about} you will never scratch your head again~  I hope you will check it out!!  I used Basic Grey, Bazzill, Prima, Jenni Bowlin and American Crafts.

Mt style continues to change~and I love that!  Another reason I love this craft~always room to grow!!! This is a favorite of mine because I love Jenni Bowlin products and probably use Jenni in some way or another on every layout I do.

Another fave~I remember getting my new Canon Rebel and hubby and I went all around the ranch and took a picture of every flower we found.  Seeing the flowers in one place, on a layout looks super cool!!! Belmont flowers!!!  I can't tell what pattern paper I used but the sketch is by Cathy Z.  Thanks for stopping by today ~See ya soon!!!!

Try it Tuesday ~ change it up!!!

Have you ever put your embellishments down and they just didn't look right or you didn't like it ~ that happened to me on this layout.  I kept trying to like it and it never happened.  The more I looked at the layout it was the placement of the title that bugged me!!!! So I changed it up to this~
I liked it tons better!!!  So just change it up!! I used Basic Grey~Oliver on this and a tag by Debby's Designs.  You can see all of her fabulous tags, that she has created, at heART of Scrapbooking.
Here are some of the vintage "boy" tags that I worked up!!!
Have a great day and change it up!!!!

more Dimensional Details

This is week 3, adding material to your layout!! A very fun thing to do. I sewed a border and then stapled it at the ends and on to the layout. I love the layering of the papers-I know you use lots of paper but your "showing off" lots of paper also.
This one is week 4!!! Yes I'm back on track -all caught up!!!! What a good feeling!
On this one I inked behind where the photos would be placed. I love the shadow effect. I hope you get some inks out and play sometime very soon. Have a wonderful day!!!
