Hi guys!
I am creating with the Knitting Background Stamp by Darkroom Door.
This coordinates with the
This coordinates with the
Hand Knitted set beautifully!!
My first project is a card using the Knitting Background as a background.
I was going for a camo background. I used Distress Oxide inks to create the background.
The background stamp was stamped on white cardstock and trimmed down to
card size. It was then placed in watered down Distress Oxide ink (3 different
colors of brown and greens). I used a heat tool to speed up
the drying of the ink. The yarn balls were stamped using the same colors of
ink. They were wrapped in twine to match the ink. The sentiment was
stamped out on Kraft cardstock and cut a part in strips. The sentiment was
added to the card front with 3D adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
This is a really cute idea to do with children. It is easy too!
Stamp the Knitting Background on Kraft cardstock with the color
of ink you want. I used Archival/Potting Soil. Trace the mittens
on and then cut out. Decorate with cotton and embellishments. Cut two and
then glue twine or jute on one side. You can cut two of each hand and then
the twine won't show on the back. That is how these were created. Speckle with
white acrylic paint for the snow effect.
