Hi guys~this all started with a visit to Godelieve Tijsken's blog {she is a member of the Darkroom Door's DT } she is very talented and very nice. I asked her could I Dictionary Stamp with her~so that is why I'm posting this. This dictionary is old ~copyright 1955. Some of the pages are torn but for the most part in good shape. Here is a sampling of my first stampings~
If you noticed I also added tissue tape to mark where my stamping are and I repaired some of the torn pages with it, also.
I used two of my favorite Darkroom Door stamp sets to begin with.
I used black ink {Memento}and Archival Ink by Ranger . I really can't say one was better than the other. The designs I chose are not heavy in ink. The airy design works best so you won't have bleed through to the back of the page being stamped. I colored with H2O's by Lumin Arte. I will also try chalks, mists and several of the Viva products. I also decided to put a cover on my dictionary {you know how it is ~one thing leads to another}

I'm not sure about the big sofa buttons ~ it's just laying there! |
This is how I made my cover ~ very simple. I used felt and machine stitched. The sides are whipped down by hand:):)
