Try It Tuesday~Vintage Bingo Cards!!!

Remember these~first let me say I should have bought more than three**sigh**but I didn't!
So I'm going to show you the two I have worked up~still have one plain one left.

This one was done using Epiphany Crafts bubble cap round 25, some felt for the flowers, old dictionary paper, Jenni Bowlin butterfly, journal card and label.  The stamp is by Unity Helmar 450 Quick Dry held it all together!!

The pictures are pretty goofy but I liked that~perfect for this project!!!
Here is the second one done for Vintage Street Market~

This one is done using Vintage Street Market products and Helmar 450 Quick Dry!!! Vintage Street Market has really cute bingo cards out ~ the small orange one on the left is just one of fourteen in a pack.

And here is a close up of the front embellishments!

I really love the back~I was able to keep the history of the Bingo card and have a perfect place for my journal card.  I did both of them this way!  Thanks for stopping by and I will see ya soon!!

A flash card goody~

Hi guys { I mean gals} here is the project I was telling you about in my last blog post.  This is a word flash card that I got on a blog win {JBS~Lisa Dickinson}and I thought it was so cool!!!  The flowers are made from Tim Holtz's glassine paper and Perfect Pearls {use the heat gun to emboss the Perfect Pearls into the flower}.  Use several different colors for a cool look.

I used Prima flowers and Helmar 450 Quick Dry to glue all the flowers and buttons on.

The journaling is tucked away in the glassine envelope.  After I display this project I will put it in a page protector and add it to my photo album.  I'm on the look out for more word flash cards!!!

I have been out of town and will visit blogs tomorrow~the Spurs play tonight and I can't miss it:):):) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like this project!!!

More Graphic45 and Helmar~

Hi everyone~this is a fun little project and would make great teacher gifts!!  I used  Graphic45 paper and used a template of a round scallop design, traced that on the back of the pattern paper, cut it out and then cut the round scallop paper in half.  That will make two  envelope holders.

I decorated the fronts and added a little decoration to the top of the notepad and it was ready to slip into the envelope holder.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere to the front of the envelope holder.

Hope you enjoyed this project ~ great gift idea!!! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya soon with another really cool project.  If you have any word flash cards~save them. Thats what you need for the next project!! Have a good one!!

Pocket folder using Graphic45 and Helmar~

Hi everyone~this is two sheets of cardstock type paper glued on three sides to make a folder~opening at the top.  I used Graphic45 and some Kraft cardstock to make this one.  It is glued with Helmar 450 Quick Dry!!  Next you will see why I made it this way~

Bottom half close up~

My son gave my husband a box full of candies from the 60's as a gag gift. Him and I both remembered the candies and of course have our favorites, so I wanted to save the wrappers.  That is where the folder comes in~

Just pull out the two 6" X 10" cardstock files and you have the labels to see!!  I also used Tim Holtz, twine, buttons, American Craft's thickers and several different border punches.

Try It Tuesday~Sketches!!!

Hi everyone~It is that time again for Try It Tuesday!!!  I thought we would talk about sketches~so many sites have sketches on their blog, you should never be out of sketch places to go.  I thought I would post some places that I know:
First up is Helmar's sketch of the month.  It is by Lydell Quin

and my take on it~

I used paper by Susan B. Weckesser of Susie Bee Studio. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar's Zapdots and Helmar's Acid Free Glue.  The die cut paper is made by using my circle punch and punching out 2 inch circles and gluing them around the paper.

Here are a few more sites that have either a sketch or a contest~
D's Paper Studio ~ contest !!
Got Sketch? ~ sketch site {awesome}
4 X 6 Photo Sketch Blog ~ very cool!!
Page Maps  ~ another one I like to use!!!!

Recycle Craft~making paper!!!

Hi everyone!!! Coming off a birthday weekend.  My youngest son and his family came for the weekend.  We had a wonderful time~
This came in the mail a few days ago and I have been ready to try my hand at paper making.  It is recycling and that appeals to me and the papers will look so cool on cards and my scrapbooking layouts.  I also ordered Acid Phree which makes your recycled paper acid free by neutralizing the acid in the recycled paper.

I also ordered some gold, copper, silver flakes to add along with some botanicals.  I got kinda of crazy and ordered the paper press too.  I can press my own flowers and on a good rain year we have beautiful wildflowers!

I need some nice sunny days and I'm gonna start making some paper~you will be the first to see it!!!!

Here is the site: Paper Alice ~ she is super nice and will be glad to help you.  I am not getting any compensation for this blog post. I just wanted to share with you a great site!!!

Re-Purpose with Epiphany~

I started with this old Hymnal Marker that I found at an antique store.  EPIPHANY ~ I liked that { for some reason :):)}. I wanted to make something bigger out of it  but keeping the sign in its original state. The size of the sign is about 3" wide by 10" long ~ chipboard.

This is what I came up with.  It is on a metal sign and covered with old dictionary paper.  I used Helmar Decoupage and Helmar 450 Quick Dry.  The flowers are out of felt using a Sizzix die.  I used The Epiphany Crafts bubble shape Oval 25 and Epiphany Crafts button studio round 14.

The Epiphany Craft's logo is in the felt flower.  Thanks for stopping in~see ya soon!!!

The Perfect Canvas Class~

Good morning !!! Remember I told you I had taken a class this weekend at Craft Crossing ~well this is what I made!!! This class was taught by our local Tim Holtz guru~Penci Petty!!!  I learned so many thhings!! I love working with canvas but so many times I don't know where to start!!

Most of the products are by Tim Holtz, if not all. Not sure about some of the stamps we used.  My favorite was learning how to use Perfect Pearls with the Glassine paper.  Take a close look at the flowers~Glassine paper with Perfect Pearls.

The butterflies also have the Perfect Pearls barnished in them for added color!!
Thanks Penci for a great class!!

Last week when we had a week of flowers this one did not get shown.  This style came from the Maya Road blog.  There is a great video on making these flowers.  I loved the idea of using the measure ribbon for the flower.  Go take a look~ Thanks for stopping in today and I will see ya soon!!!

Ride with Epiphany Crafts~

Hi everyone~I had a busy weekend but a fun weekend.  I had my class at Craft Crossing and I took a class!! I will post my canvas I did soon.  In the mean time these are some Valentine cards I did for Epiphany Crafts.  I used the heart button studio 25.  The papers are by Canvas Corp.  Also used was the packaging card from the Jenni Bowlin bingo card set.  I colored the trucks with Faber-Castell big brush pens.  The banner's are by Elle's Studio.  Many of you may recognize the stamp~ it is by Stampin' Up! All of this is held together by Helmar 450 Quick Dry.

My special news~I got my first submission picked up by Create:Embellish by Northridge Publishing~I thought this day would never come but it did, so I learned~ never say never and don't give up!!! I'll be back for Try It Tuesday for a fun post ~ Happy Valentine's Day!! See you soon~

Stick pins~make your own!!!

Good morning, yes it is 4:00AM and I can't sleep so I poured me a cup of coffee and decided to show you some more fun I had yesterday!!!  I needed some stick pins for the class I'm teaching Sunday at CraftCrossing so using my Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks I was able to make the colors that I needed.

Could get messy ~ so don't hit the alcohol ink with the sleeve of your shirt {just sayin'}

Take the lid off ~this the way I do it {that I stay the cleanest}~

and just lay it down~your ready to make some pretties!!!!

No double dipping ~ in and out will give you the BEST results.  Have a large yarn ball or something similar as a landing place so the pins can dry.  This goes very fast and before you know it you have done a whole box of pins.  The corsage pins I used are by Atlantic and they are the pear shape head.

Beautiful!!! See ya soon~

Re~production labels ~

Hi everyone~this is just a fun post!! Remember those old labels HERE , I took them and copied them on some off white copy paper.  This is what I came up with~

These are re-production bottles!  The bottles are new { we take a viatmin that comes in these} and I think they look vintage {and surely can find something to do with them } and I did.  This is how I made them~

These are the orginal old labels~

Copied on some old looking paper~

Cut the labels out and adhere them to the bottle with Helmar's Acrylic Sealer.  I put the sealer on the back of the label and adhere to the bottle.. Rub the label to be sure the wrinkles are out and set it aside.  When it is dry {about 5 minutes} put a thin coat over just the label.

Really~that is it and aren't they cute!!!!  When I do crafts like this I like to copy my orginal label, card whatever I'm using {orginal goes into a master file} then I have the images for other things.

These are some other old bottles I had, so I put a label on them too.  I have 3 sets of reproduction labels printed out~the first three peeps to email me their address I will send each of you a set.  Hope you enjoyed this and I'll see ys soon!

Try It Tuesday~Jenni & Helmar together!!!

My project for Helmar and Try It Tuesday!!!  I saw one of these bird cages altered like a calendar {in fact it is on my pinterest site}so when I found one on clearance at Hobby Lobby I had to get it!!!  Had no idea what would be created~just started and this is what I ended up with!!!

The paper line is by Jenni Bowlin/Haven and the glue I used is Helmar's Decoupage.  I traced a pattern on the back side of the paper and cut it out. I then adhered my decoupage to the paper not the metal piece.  The glue is thick but it worked great. The big flower on the front is by Canvas Corp { love those}the frame is by Martha Stewart { also on clearance}.  The stamp is by Jenni Bowlin as is all the little extras.  The ribbon is by May Art's!!

The flower and frame mat are glued on with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry.  Hope you enjoyed this project ~ I'm up on Helmar's Blog today and ScrapStreet's Blog~would love for you to stop in!!! Have a wonderful day and see ya soon!!
