A re-do with Magpie and Haven~

Hi everyone!! Hoping you are having a good week.  I have really been busy and it has not been "crafty" busy either:):) I'll have to tell ya about it sometime~
This is another layout I did for the JBS crop a couple of weekends ago.  The funny thing is I was doing layouts so fast and then moving to the next challenge.  When I stopped and looked at this one I decided it needed a re-do.  You are seeing the re-do.

Pinwheels are very trendy right now and they are easy and fun to make besides looking fantastic on a layout.  Here is link for a tutorial on how to make them HERE. OK here is the before the re-do picture~

Yep greatly improved in my opinion:):) I used Magpie and Haven on this one.  All products are Jenni Bowlin Studios { cause it was her crop:):):)}

This afternoon I'm to be featured on Scrap News and Review.  It will be on the front page of the magazine and visible to everyone.  Jenni Bowlin Studios will be running a sneak peek on their blog also.  I used the fabulous WREN line.  I hope it goes off as planned:):):) and I hope you take a look {if not I will post a link tomorrow}  I'm teaching today at Craft Crossing ~I'll see ya soon!!!

A little bit of JBS/Haven~

Hi everyone~thanks for stopping by yesterday and I loved your sweet comments on my scrappy space!!!
Today I'm showing you another layout I did for the Jenni Bowlin online crop a few weeks ago.  This one is using Haven.  Love the butterflies and the polka dot paper together.

One of my favorite thing to do is cut the ends off the photos making them look like photo strip~if you notice I have been doing that a lot lately~maybe it is a phase I'm going through:):):)

Craft Storage Ideas ~

Hi everyone!!! Today my scrappy space is being featured over on Craft Storage Ideas so I thought I would show you close up pictures of how I store and display some of my scrappy supplies. My markers, pens, paint pens are stored in old enamel ware coffee pots.  I have many of these types of enamel ware pots that hold wild flowers in the Spring:):)

Old salt & pepper shakers ( missing a pair) are great for storing glitter in, and it looks pretty ( fancy) too!!!

I love storing and displaying items in old large metal bowls, so for now this is where my mini albums go.

This is my button center, an old muffin tin.  The metal stand in the back, with the bank name on it, used to hold the deposit slips at the bank desk~I use it for my Glubers.

This old soda bottle holds my Dew Drops.

This is a chest of drawers made from a fruit crate.  It is one of my favorite finds.  It holds my Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz and 7Gypsies supplies.

A peek inside~

This is an old card file~I store my Epiphany Crafts supplies and extra small pieces of trim in these drawers.

Old lunch pail that I dolled up to hold my mini alpha's.

A peek inside~

This is an old lazy Susan ( I have had it 10 years or more). Great for paints and mists that I use often.

This is some kind of old carpenter's box~I use it for mists, paint dabblers, H2O's water colors and alcohol inks.  It really is nice to have it all together, right at my finger tips.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you will hop on over to Craft Storage Ideas and see the rest of my room.  This site has so many ideas for storing your scrappy supplies. What ever your style is I'm sure you will find inspiration here.
See ya soon!!!

JBS/Haven ~

This is another layout done for the Jenni Bowlin Crop a few weeks ago.  The challenge was to scrapbook a place.  I used Haven for this~one of my favorite lines by JBS.  This is an old bridge that crosses the San Marcos River, that is about 20 miles from my home.  We went to check it out in January of this year.  What a great find~

In one of the pictures you can see a tree at the edge of the photograph, that tree has a metal sign in it , that the tree as grown into.  That tells you how long the tree has been there.  Love this kind of stuff.  We found out there is about five more bridges in our area so we are on a mission to go see them.

Tomorrow my crafty space will be featured on Craft Storage Ideas, I will be featuring more pictures on my blog~hope you will stop by!!!! If you love junk you won't want to miss this!!!!
Have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon!!!!

JBS and junkin finds~

Hi blogger friends~this past weekend Jenni Bowlin Studio had an online crop.  It was really fun,!!! I love getting in the zone and getting so much done.  In the next few days I'll be sharing with you some of the layouts I did for the crop.  This one is using the Haven line and white space.  I usually don't scrap like this but it is fun to try new ways!!!

Some fussy cutting and misting and I called it good!!!
******************************************************
I also have a few junkin' finds that are really unique (to me anyway)~that i wanted to share.  If you have any info on these items, I would love to hear it!

This is a date book set (by months) put out by Singer (the sewing machine company) for the year 1955.  Very cool!!!

This is a very small font stamp set of months and numbers only.  I think some of it is missing but it has little wooden handles on the rubber stamp part.  I almost missed out on this find but a girl friend was with me and picked up two of them ( yes two different ones) and shared with me~thank goodness for good buddies!!!

I'm not sure but kinda of sure this is how photo's were printed in the newspaper at sometime(not sure of time line).  The back of the wooden block has the woman's name and that it is her engagement photo.
Have a great Friday and I'll see ya soon!!!
