Sun & Surf Kit by Buttons Galore and More ~ Pencil Toppers!

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing a FUN kid craft.
Perfect for Summer craft days. I'm using the
Sun and Surf Monthly Kit by Buttons Galore and More.

These were easy to make and FUN!!! The Fish flat backs are a little
wonky so that makes them perfect. Kids will love them!!

I used a 2" scalloped circle die and a 1 1/2" by Spellbinder to
get the shape.  I'm using some scraps of felt that I had in my stash.
The greeting tags are stamped on binding tape and then glued
in between the scalloped layers.

The little fish are called Aquarium / Flatbackz. They are in the kit.
Glue one in the center of the pencil topper, along with some
flat back pearls.  Leave an opening for the pencil when adhering together.
Add the flat back pearls for water bubbles.  Complete with twine or ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Heart Tart Tin Flowers~

Hi guys!
I have been creating with those heart tart tins again. I used felt this
time instead of paper.  The background is paper and the rest, of the inside, is felt.
I'm not going to hold my breath, but if I got some Roses these would look really pretty
 nestled among the them.

The shapes are steel dies and the leaves are hand cut.  The straws were an added touch.
These would be darling tied to a homemade loaf of bread (any kind).  So romantic :) :):)

These were fun to make and I hope you have beautiful Valentine's Day!!
See ya soon~

Try It Tuesday~remember this....

Remember this on my felt cover for my dictionary~it was laid on the cover for the photo but it just seemed like it didn't belong there.   I love the upholstery button, the doily embellishment from JBS and the shell button and last, the shank button ~all stacked together like that.  I thought it would make a beautiful center for a fabric flower pin.

The pieces I'm using are the left over  strips from the felt dictionary cover.  The strips are about 6" long and I had 4 of them.  I put a line of hot glue on the Tim Holtz mat and scrunched up the felt along the hot glue line, giving the felt piece a gathered look.  Then I used an extra large gluber by Cosmo Cricket and started , in a circular motion, covering the base of the gluber and leaving a space in the middle for the button.  I hot glued it all down and added a felt circle to the back, of the flower, and then my pin .

Enjoy!!!
See ya soon~

Try it Tuesday~making felt flowers and hearts

Just having a fun evening "messing" around with felt.  I love to make flowers and Sizzix has some cool dies.  These are rolled flowers and then I put a button in the middle but you could put a pearl or rhinestone also.  I want to do this flower with material~I'll let you know how that turns out.  I made some hearts out of the Spellbinder die and added the button in the middle.  If you have as many buttons as I do you use them when ever you can.  These would also be "super" cute with vintage buttons~I need to try that too.

It is never ending the things you can try or make for your scrapbooking or cards ~ that is why this hobby is so much fun!! You will be seeing these on some cards or layouts soon!!! Have a wonderful day and make a "crafty goody" today!!!
