Dream Big Card with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps~

Hi all!
Today I'm sharing another"guy card" with
deer.  Just love it!! I'm using SNS-18-057 Thrill of Hope
by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. 

I used panpstels to create the nature scene and then plugged
in the trees and deer.  The tree, on the left of the card
is created using SNS-18-030 Texture Tiles 2. So easy to
line up with a stamping platform.  

The ground is also created using SNS-18-030 Texture Tiles 2.
The greeting is SNS-14-004 God is Bigger.  The plane is
SNS-21-003 Going Postal.  I used Distress Oxide inks and
Archival for the stamping.

All adhesive used is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l.

Dearest Friend Card with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps~

 

Hi all!
Today I'm sharing a Dearest Friend card using the
SNS-22-020 Hapiness Blooms set by Sweet 'n
Sassy.   I also added a fun Texture stamp to
create a background.  

The stamp is embossed and then colored in with Distress
Oxide inks.  I love that they work just like watercolors.
The brick ledge is the SNS-18-030 Texture Tiles 2.

The cute bird is from SNS-12-0368 Nature Silhouettes set
by Sweet 'n Sassy. I love the look of a couple of
vintage buttons to bring in the design and add dimension
to the card front.

Abstract 03 Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!

I have been creating with the newly released set called Abstract 03
by Darkroom Door.  I created a batch of cards using this stamp
every way I could think of.  It has so many possibilities.

Abstract 03   

First card set ~

These cards are more like a paper piecing project.  I used all three of the Abstract stamp (one
more coming) to create this pattern.  Each Abstract stamp was stamped with Archival ink on white cardstock, one time.  Each strip was cut into 1" squares.  They were positioned in a square (3 across and 3 down) to create the card front.  Random squares were adhered with dimensional
adhesive. A sentiment was added and then the card front  splattered with black ink.
  Really cute and simple stamping was used!!!!

Second card~

This is another simple stamping project.  Take the Abstract 03 Stamp and
 stamp it out three times on white cardstock using the different shades of a color.
Square up the card front and mat on coordinating cardstock.  Adhere to a folded card.
Add a silhouette image,  over the background, that was created with the Abstract 03
Stamp.   I used  the Sm. Wildflowers Stencil by Darkroom Door. 
A butterfly was added from the Butterflies set.  The sentiment is from the
Whimsical Words set.  Black ink was splattered on the card.

Third card~

One last simple stamping project.  These cards are created the same, just different

 coordinating inks were used.  The background was stamped with two coordinating 

Archival inks.  The Abstract 03 was stamped two times, randomly applying ink in

 different spots on the stamp.  The results is a shading effect of both colors.  The

background was cut in half and squared up to create two card backgrounds.

The Texture/Criss Cross stamp was stamped over the background with black ink.

The Fine Leaves set were stamped next with black ink.  You can see the outline.  The Succulent

was stamped next in two different coordinating ink colors, trimmed out and adhered to the

 card front. Sentiment flags were stamped and adhered with small brads.

 The background was matted on coordinating cardstock

 and then a coordinating folded card.

The card was splattered with black ink. 

These are small, cute and great for a gift bag card!!!!

August Challenge for Darkroom Door FB Inspiration page~

Hi guys!

This month the Darkroom Door August Challenge is Texture stamps!!  They have so many too!!

I chose three different Texture stamps, to make quilt type background, for the card front.

The Texture stamps were stamped on white cardstock using three different colors of Archival inks.  Then cut in 1 1/2" strips and adhered to card front. The Robin bird was stamped out and then embossed to look like a silhouette. The succulent is stamped out using two different Archival inks.  Hit the stamp randomly, with the inks, to achieve the two tone look.  The Robin bird is standing on a real twig. 

Whether it's a card, art journal page, mixed media project, tag... anything goes! Your project just needs to include a Darkroom Door Texture Stamp. Please let us know the name of the Texture Stamp too as other stampers will be keen to know :)

Here's how to enter the challenge:
* Create a project using a Darkroom Door Texture Stamp. You can use other products too, but DD products must be one of the main elements or features of the design.
* Post a photo here in the Darkroom Door Inspiration group
* You have until August 31st, 2018 to enter.
* Project must be new and not previously uploaded to the group.

Try It Tuesday~ tags and shells!!!

Hi guys!

I have a set of sea shell tags to share today.  I sent these in for publication in 2015.

  They weren't picked up but that means I can share them with you.

I absolutely thought they were beautiful and still do :)  

I'm not going to be able to tell you to much about them other

 than the stamps that were used.  The paper name is long gone out of my head.

I know that it is "old" ~

All of the seashell images were stamped and then cut out.

 Foam sqaures were added for dimension.  The tag was created out of patterned paper.

Texture stamps were stamped randomly to create a background for the seashell images.

The tag topper is a punch by Stampin' Up!  

It always amazes me what you can do with scrap paper and stamps!!!

Supplies used:

Darkroom Door stamps: Seashells, Wildflowers Vol. 2, French Script/Texture, Scratches/Texture and Criss Cross/Texture stamp.  Texana Designs/Sand Dollar stamp.

Ink: Ranger

Try It Tuesday ~ Bunting Border stamp by Darkroom Door!!!

Hi guys!

I have a fun project to share making a Bunting for a scrapbook page

 using the Bunting Border stamp by Darkroom Door.  I jazzed the Bunting up with

 some Texture stamps. So fun!!!

I prepared a collage showing the steps to creating this fun Bunting~

Steps:

Spray colored ink on white cardstock.  Use the Bunting Border Stamp by Darkroom Door and stamp over the area using Black Archival ink.  Trim out.  Use different Texture stamps and inks and stamp on different flags on the Bunting.  Really easy and gives the Bunting a bright and fun look.

The Owl in the photo started this Bunting journey :)

Texture Corrugated Iron Stamp with Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!

I have a card to share with you using the newly released Texture stamp 

called Corrugated Iron by Darkroom Door.  My inspiration for this card came from thinking the Corrugated Iron stamp would make a cool backdrop for friends talking.

 Let me show you what I mean ~

Texture Corrugated Iron

Instructions:

1. Add a piece of white cardstock to a white card, creating a card front.

2. Using Ranger Distress Stains: Fossilized Amber and Lucky Clover, spray over the card front. Drips and splats are all good.

3. Ink up the Texture: Corrugated Iron stamp with Archival Jet Black and stamp the image in the center of the card front.  The stamp moved and smeared, but the smear added to the charm, so it stayed.

4. Stamp two birds (lots to choose from) from the Carved Birds Vol.2 set on the card front, using Archival Jet Black.

5. Using a scrap piece of white cardstock mist with the Fossilized Amber.

6. Stamp the word "friendship" from the All Occasions set and trim it out.

7. Adhere under the birds with dimensional adhesive.

8. Wrap twine around the word and tie off.

9. Roll up the bottom corners of the stamped card front.

10. Add a vintage photo corner to top right corner.

Peace with Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!

I have a card to share using one of the newly released Texture stamps by

  Darkroom Door called Map.  This stamp is beautiful stamped in Cobalt ink, giving it that blue print look.  Keeping that in mind, that was my inspiration for this card. One is good but lets try three, side by side ~

Texture: Map

This is a fun one. Darkroom Door also has this in a background stamp.

Instructions:

1. Using the Texture: Map stamp and white cardstock, stamp three images with the Cobalt ink.

2. Trim the three stamped images to 2 1/4" x 3 1/4".

3. Mount the three map images on dark blue cardstock. (7 1/4" X 3 1/2")

4. Using the Season's Greetings set, stamp the word PEACE on the lower bottom panel, in Cobalt.

5. Splat with black ink or black acrylic paint, all three panels . Both work great.  Let dry.

6. Using the Collage: Arty Triangles and Cobalt ink, stamp on white cardstock.

7. Select three or more triangles and trim them out.

8. Attach a piece of twine over the first and second panel with the Tiny Attacher.

9. Add the triangles to the twine, creating a banner.

10. Attach the dark blue cardstock mat to white cardstock, creating a card front.

The finished card is a hope for PEACE around the world.

Texture: Corrugated Iron and hearts with Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!!

I have a card using the Heart stamp set and the

 Texture/ Iron Corrugated stamp by Darkroom Door. 

Always fun using the Darkroom Door stamps together. Texture stamps make great 

background stamps and look amazing layered up with stamped images.

  That was the plan for this  "heart" card~

Instructions:

1. On a scrap piece of white cardstock spray it with Dylusions: Postbox Red. If it drips or puddles, great!

2. Using the Texture: Corrugated Iron stamp and Archival Jet Black, stamp in the middle or side of the sprayed cardstock. 

3. Mount that piece on black cardstock.

4. Adhere the black cardstock to a white card, creating a card front.

5. Using the scrap pieces from the sprayed cardstock, stamp heart shapes, using Archival Red Geranium and Rose Madder inks. Stamp 5 or 6 depending  on how full and layered you want the card to look.

6. Stamp the word "love"  on the left over scrap cardstock and trim the word out.

7. Layer the hearts at the bottom of the card front. Add dimensional adhesive to some of them.

8. Wrap twine around one of the hearts and tie off.

9. Splat the card front with Dylusions: White Linen.  Remove the lid and tap on the tube to get the splats.

10. Add a vintage white corner to right top and roll the left top corner of the card front.

Ranger: Archival: Jet Black, Red Geranium, Rose Madder.

Ranger: Dylusions: Postbox Red, White Linen.

Texture/Map stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!

I have a couple cards to share with you using the new Texture/Map stamp

 by Darkroom Door.  

Texture /Map stamp

The Texture stamp is a smaller version of the Background stamps, same pattern just smaller.  Using the same pattern, the map, it was easy and fun to create a card set, 

Instructions:

1. Using the Map Background stamp and Cobalt ink, stamp on white cardstock (6 1/4" X 4 1/4" size).

2. Stamp Texture:Map on white carstock with Fern Green ink. Trim out to 2 1/4" X 3 1/4" (approximately).

3. Mat with Green carstock.

4. Stamp a small heart and color it in with Cobalt ink. Use a paint brush and squeeze a small amount of ink, on the inside lid.  Pick up the ink color with the paint brush and fill in the small heart.

5. Adhere heart to Texture:Map piece.

6. Stamp the sentiment vertical, on the card front, in Cobalt ink. 

7. Adhere the Texture:Map piece to the Background: Map card front.

8. Speckle card with black ink splats or acrylic black paint. Both work fine.

9. Add twine to front of card. Staple both ends of twine to attach.

To make a second card, that will coordinate with the Cobalt card, just switch the ink color to Fern Green. The Texture: Map stamp inspired me to create these cards sending a big hello through out the world.

Envelope style card with Darkroom Door's Texture Stamp!

Hi guys!!

I have a card today using the new Floral Texture stamp by Darkroom Door.

These Texture stamps are half the size of a background stamp and give you that random stamp look we all love.  Perfect for a small stamping space.

The other Darkroom Door stamps I used were the

All Occasions set and Love Birds.

Darkroom Door ~ Texture!!!!!

Hi guys!!!

I have been trying, for days, to blog and blogger wouldn't let me:(

but all is well, blogger is back:):)

This is a card I made using the new texture stamps from Darkroom Door.

I used the Plaid Texture stamp, the   All Occasions set, Polka Dots background set and Vintage Office.

The ink is by Distress and Archival by Ranger!!!
