Bird Life by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I'm creating with the newly released Bird Life by Darkroom Door.
I love birds so this was a win win set for me!  All of the
 new release are winners ~
take a look!

First Project:
Instructions:
Create a background, for the card front, by stamping a focal image in random
places on the card front.  I choose the small bird and stamped it in different places.
I used Distress Oxide inks to add color to the birds.  The Stitched Borders set was
stamped on all four sides of the card front.  The mixed media background was created
with blue and brown Distress Oxide inks, watered down, and placed in random areas
of the small paper piece. The focal image (bird house) was stamped on
white cardstock and trimmed out.  Adhere the image to the mixed media paper.  Stamp
the sentiment and adhere to a folded blue card.
Another example of this technique.
Second project:
This was really fun to create.  I used different colors of Gelatos by Faber-Castell.
You can see the colors used and then blended with a water brush.  Darkroom Door stencils
(Lrg. Mesh, Lrg. Diamonds)
were used, with modeling paste, for added texture.
The bird bath was stamped directly on the art journal page and
colored in with Distress Oxide inks. The birds and hanging bird house
were stamped and colored with Distress Oxide inks and trimmed out.
The tree branches are from the Bird Life set and Carved Leaves Vol.1.
The trimmed out images were adhered to the art journal pages.
The quote is  called Friends by Darkroom Door.  It was
stamped out and cut in strips.  Color was added to each strip.  The strips were
 adhered to the journal page.

Third project:
The three mixed media type clusters were created using modeling
paste with Darkroom Door stencils (Lrg. Diamonds, Lrg. Mesh and
med. Awesome).  The birds, bird bath, small film strip, and carved leaves were
stamped on white cardstock, colored (with Distress Oxide inks) and trimmed out.
The image were adhered to the mixed media clusters on the page.  The filmstrip
border stamp was stamped on white cardstock, with black ink, trimmed out
and cut down the middle.  The two sides of the filmstrip were placed on each side
of the photos, creating the filmstrip look at the bottom of the page.  The focal
photo was matted with coordinating cardstock and adhered to the page.
The title and date were added to complete the look.

Thanks for stopping by~
