Hi, Connie here with a couple of projects showcasing the Beehive Layering stencil by Clear Scraps. The layering stencils are so much fun to create with and easy to blend colors on the design.
The first being a card and the second a tag. Both were created the same except the tag was stenciled on the fold of the cardstock and then fussy cut out.
Steps to create the card:
Stencil the image on white cardstock using a light ink and then a darker ink for shading around the Beehive image. Stamp the chicken wire pattern over the top of the Beehive. Add the Bee's, from the layering stencil, at this time. For the card, double mat on yellow cardstock and adhere to the front of the card. Add twine and buttons for embellishments. Add the sentiment in the center of the Beehive opening.
Steps for the tag:
Repeat the steps for the card but instead stencil the Beehive image on the fold of white cardstock. When all the steps are complete cut out the Beehive leaving the small loop at the top attached ( the fold). Punch a small hole and run twine through. Add the sentiment to the opening of the Beehive.

ReplyDeleteI love how you layer the stencils. The card and tag look like you had a lot of fun. One thing I really liked is the fussy cut of the tag where you left a white border. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteLove the stencil and happy card.
