Snowflake Christmas Ornament by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a Christmas Ornament using the Snowflake Shaker by Clear Scraps!!! This makes a fun family craft night project.  Shakers are always fun to create and shake !!!  This one is created with a fun twist ~ perfect for that special photo.


The top frame, of the shaker, is embossed with Distress Oxide ink and high gloss embossing powder.   It is really shiny!!   Add pattern paper to the back of the shaker.  Glue the frames together with a strong wet glue and let set for a minute.  Add the sequins and sparkle to the inside of the snowflake.  Take the embossed frame and glue the acrylic frame to the back of the embossed snowflake.  Remember to remove the plastic film from both sides of the acrylic snowflake frame.  Glue the front of the snowflake to the base of the snowflake.  Decorate the front.


Emboss the word "Holiday"  Distress Oxide ink and high gloss embossing powder.  Glue to front of snowflake.  Add small holly leaf and red button.  Glue black velvet ribbon on a cloths pin then glue the snowflake shaker to the cloths pin.  Now you are able to clip that special photo to the snowflake shaker ornament.  It is all ready for your 2018 Christmas tree or it would look super pretty on a Christmas gift.

Try It Tuesday~ A Thimble Tree Ornament!

Hi guys!!

I have the cutest, little thing to share today.  I saw one on Pinterest and loved it.

I was pretty sure I had the elements to make it :):)

being a "junker" and all~

A Thimble Tree Ornament.  The thimble has a cork stuck in it and that

 is how the vintage tree stays in one place.  I glued the star pin (Maya Road) to the back of the tree. The pin part is hidden pretty good in the vintage brush tree.

I added a button to the bottom of the thimble so the tree can stand too.

Long John Christmas Ornament!!

This is a favorite Christmas ornament of mine to make ~ they are easy and you can make several at one time.  The socks are baby or infant tube socks, tea dyed.  Then glue the arm on over lapping and add the tiny buttons.  Sew or glue on a knee patch and add the cloths pins to the shoulders .  When I make these I make six pairs at a time.  If you want the long johns bigger ~ just buy bigger tube socks!! A very fun project and they look so "homey" on your Christmas tree!!!
