Try It Tuesday~Variegated Succulents with Darkroom Door

Hi guys!!
I have a fun tutorial to share on how to get variegated colors
when using a Succulent stamp.  I'm using the set by Darkroom Door and it is a beauty!!!

I love the light and dark, mix of inks, to create a beatiful Succulent flower.
Let me show my inspiration~

The catalog, for Fun Stampers Journey, really made me want to try the mix
of colors on one Succulent flower.

Tip:  When applying the ink to the stamp, apply the light color first then the dark color.  This way the light ink won't get the dark ink all of over the ink pad.  I used three inks to acheive the color mix I was looking for (all supplies listed at the end of the post).  I just added each color to the stamp and then stamped on white cardstock.  Then the stamped images were cut out.

I used the Woodgrain background stamp by Darkroom Door  and the NEW large Mesh stencil to create the setting for the stamped Succulents.

The sentiment was stamped and cut out of white cardstock.  The Succulent flowers were adhered to the front of the card with dimenstional foam squares.  Speckle the card with white acrylic paint splats and black splats.

Supplies used:
Darkroom Door: Lrg. Mesh Stencil
Ink: Ranger/Archival: Fern Green, Tea Rose, Rose Madder and Jet Black
Adhesieve: Scrapbook Adhesieves Foam Squares
white cardstock
white acrylic paint
black acrylic paint

Thanks for stopping by~
