Try It Tuesday~The Curtsey Boutique (vintage inspired photo bags)

Hi guys!
Here is a tutorial I did for The Curtsey Boutique.  I wanted to share it with you for 
Try It Tuesday!!!
So here it is~supply list and all:):)

Curtsey Boutique Project Instruction Page
(Photograph bag)
Original Design: Connie Mercer
Curtsey Boutique Supplies:
Muslin bags ( 4x6 )     
Mini white shipping tags
Burlap Butterflies
Seam Binding / blue and pink
Other Supplies:
Buttons
Darkroom Door Stamp
Ranger ink
Tim Holtz/Sizzix die
Tea bags (for dyeing Muslin bags)
Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress ink (Antique Linen)
Hot glue

Project Instructions:
1.       Take the muslin bags and soak them in strong tea.



2.       Let them set for about 30 min.  Then take them out and dry them.  (I let mine drip dry outside)
3.       Cut out your leaves using the Spring Greenery by Tim Holtz/Sizzix.
4.       Hot glue a cluster to center of the muslin bag.
5.       Hot glue the burlap butterfly over the leaves.
6.       Take the seam binding ribbon and spray it with water and scrunch it up in a ball.
7.       Apply the Distress Stain to it ~ random places. 
8.       Dry with heat tool.
9.       Make a messy bow and adhere it to the center of the butterfly.
10.       Stamp the white tag with your message and adhere under the wing of the Butterfly.



11.  Gather some photographs and wrap twine around.
12.  Label them using a white tag.
13.   Insert in bag for gift giving.

  6. I'm no good at pie crusts:) Like it when I can just press it into the pan. I'm usually starved so it tastes good anyway:)
