Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair blog. We are partnering with Clear Scraps for
some "where wood meets stamps" creations.
It will be awesome!
I started with a Hearts Wood card by Clear Scraps and stamped, with stamps
by Joy Clair. Just like stamping on paper but cuter! The wood card comes with the
holes punched, so sand it lightly to get a smooth coat of paint on it. Be sure to wipe
it down with a soft cloth, to remove the sand dust.

You are ready to add the paint color to the wood card. Paint both sides and set
aside to dry. A few minutes is all it takes. Then sand lightly front, back and edges.

Wipe down with a soft cloth and you are ready to stamp the images on the prepared wood card. The ink that was used in this example is Archival/Jet Black. Once the images are stamped on the wood use a small paint brush, acrylic paint and add color to the stamped images. The paint drys fast and painting in the images goes pretty quick too.
The inside of the card was stamped with a background stamp by Joy Clair. Distress Oxide was used and then sprayed with water to give the inside of the card a distress look. Adhere to the inside of the card. Tie front and back of the card loosely with twine or hemp cord. Stamp the sentiment on coordinating cardstock and add to the front of the wood card.
Products used:
Joy Clair: Deer Friends
Joy Clair: Wood Background
