Hi everyone~this is the last of my Indiana junkin' finds!!! You'll see that I have already started to use them in many different ways. I have more than several of these and love them all, to stack and use in my photographing of my work.
These are odd shaped spools and caught my eye for that reason!
This a wax container for honey (about 2 oz.) really adorable!!
Old yarn cards~not sure what I will do with these but thought they were very cool~and that is enough for me:):)
Printer's Blocks~the only two I found, no five but a four and nine, oh well:)

I will announce the winner on Try It Tuesday!
I'd turn them into other stuff! That is, afterall, what I do! :-) Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI so remember those fold out rulers. My dad had some, maybe still does. Fun finds!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know I don't have the "vision" like you do, but boy do those rulers bring back memories of "helping" my dad when I was a kid. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your treasures! I've turned carpenter's rulers into picture frames, bracelets, and a Christmas tree. I can never get enough of those wonderful rulers.
ReplyDeleteLove the spools... I would love to use those for some of my ribbons. You always have some awesome finds!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE those rulers. Also that 9 can easily be used as a 6 too ;) I'm sure you'll come up with many wonderful ideas for them all!
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! You know I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win!!! I have been looking and looking and looking for Bingo cards and can't find them anywhere here... and I have like a million ideas for the carpenter's ruler!! Ohhhh they are just swimming in my head now!! LOL!! Thanks for the chance!!! I am a follower and have fun at your folks house!!!!
ReplyDeleteConnie, you always find the coolest stuff when you go junking!
ReplyDeleteawesome goodies!!! I would prob put them on a shelf and admire them :)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more special and unique than things from years gone by! I think a collage using as many as the objects as possible :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the long spool in your Second picture - A friend of mine made an ADORABLE SNOW WOMAN out of those. She attached it to a wood bottom, used a styrofoam ball, plastered the ball and modge podged it and stuck it on the end of the spool. Placed a wicker hat on her head after painting a face and tied a huge paper bow under the ball. It's adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I saw those rulers placed in an arrangement with the wooden thread spools inside blue mason jars - I have really wanted to do that too
I love the wick thread...too cool. Your cotton mill spool will go inside your cotton mill shuttle. I think I saw you with one before. I have followed you for awhile now...I am glad I do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice collection of goodies. I love going out in search of treasures, myself. And the folding rulers are great. I have made many things with similar goodies, and I love watching what others come up with. I would think the candlewick yarn would make wonderful twine for tying on buttons, and such. Can never have too much - every time I find a stash like that, I divvy it up amongst my friends. Happy hunting always!
ReplyDeleteoooooo eeeeeeee i wanna hang with you. awesome treasures for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower ;) And I just love seeing what new old things you find. You know me I love to alter things so I would find some way to alter them and display in my house.
ReplyDeleteLove this stuff-great finds! I'm working on a shadow box and would love to add these to my creation. And I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteLOVE! I would include them in a shadow box. Oh what fun it would be :)
ReplyDeleteThe bingo cards would easy! Our best couple surprised us with an engagement party (11 years ago!) and created a bingo game about our lives before marriage. I'd use the bingo cards as the cover to a book and make the insides a play on bingo and what we have done since we've been married to give to DH. He would actually be very touched by that- he's a nostalgic guy that way and he appreciates the work that goes into these creations. :) Thanks for inspiring this idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteAgain, you find the best stuff! I don't even know how you do it. LOVE so many of those goodies.
