Notepads with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with a useful gift idea for the school year.  I created with scrap pieces of pattern paper from the Catalina Island, Farm House and Anchor Aweigh Collections by Quick Quotes.  If you have a  3" X 12" scrap piece, you have enough paper to embellish a notepad for yourself or a special teacher.

To get this size of notepad, go to an office supply house and purchase a set of 12 legal size pads and ask them to cut them in thirds.  Most stores will do the cuts at no charge.  You will end up with lots of notepads!!!  Add the pattern paper to the back of the pad with a strong adhesive.

Make a little wrap around flap, for the top of the notepad, and decorate using stickers, pearls, flowers or die cuts.  Teachers will love them!! They look so pretty on a desk or by the phone.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Ink: Caribbean Blue, Peach Tree, Seafoam

Other:
Legal size note pads cut in thirds
strong adhesive

Mixing it up with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using two different paper collections by Quick Quotes.  I decided on the Serenade Collection and the Mulberry Collection.  Lovely purple tones in both collections.

The photo is a scanned copy of a vintage picture of my mother.  It is a little blurry from age but I was thrilled to get it.  I printed the photo from the Canon iP8720 in a 5" X 7" size and  the journal information also.  The photo is such a treasure to me.

Embellishments were added along with Die Cuts from Quick Quotes. The pattern papers were shaded with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.   The wooden girl head is also colored using PowderPuff Chalk ink (Clay) by Quick Quotes.

Products used:
Quick Quotes: Serenade Collection (coming soon)
Quick Quotes: Mulberry Collection
Quick Quotes: Mulberry Quotes & Phrases
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Violet, Clay, Midnight Confessions.

Fun Photo Strip scrapbook page with Quick Quotes and Canon~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Earth Wind Fire Collection by Quick Quotes.  I wanted to create a fun photo strip to go under the focal photo and the Canon iP8720 helped out with that. Take a look~

Instructions for the photo strip:

Using the Garden Image program from Canon I created a collage, using the same two photographs twice.  Once the collage was created and ready to print out I changed the setting to grey scale.

Once the photo is printed  cut it length ways to get the photo strip look. Adhere to white cardstock and then a darker color cardstock. I went with solid green in the Earth Wind Fire Collection. The focal photo was printed in color.

These are so fun to make and look great on a scrapbook page. Once those elements are created the page is ready to complete with embellishments. The accent papers are shaded with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks. Die cuts are added from the Earth Wind Fire Collection also.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes: Earth Fire Wind Collection
Quick Quotes: Earth Fire Wind Die Cuts
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Midnight Confessions, Seafoam, Evergreen, Light Moss, Feather Gray
Canon Printer iP8720
Other:
Buttons Galore & More
Beacon Quick Grip
Petaloo flowers

Windsong Collection by Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the new Windsong Collection by Quick Quotes. I played off of the subtle seafoam color in the paper and added seafoam cardstock to bring out the color in the pattern paper.

The title is chipboard and it is easily colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.

The more you pat it with color the darker it will become.  The chipboard stickers were colored with PowderPuff Chalk ink also.

The flowers are also shaded with PowderPuff Chalk ink.  Pull them apart and it is
easy to get good a coverage of ink on them.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes: Farmhouse die cuts
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Antique Linen, Seafoam and Midnight Confessions

Other:
Want2Scrap: chipboard title and Rhinestones
Divine Twine
Petaloo flowers

A pretty boy~ with Quick Quotes!

Hi guys! I'm here with a scrapbook page using the Gypsy Road Collection by Quick Quotes.  This page has a sad ending but a crazy beginning, so I had to scrapbook the story.

This beautiful boy, Cardinal, loves flying into my craft room windows all day long.
Drives me crazy!!!
I wish he would stop but it has allowed me to get some good shots of him sitting on the tree branch.
Early this morning the cat must of had enough also, because we found red feathers out by a big tree in the yard.  It has been quite, no more banging into the windows~kinda sad but kinda nice!!!
My tribute to a pretty boy!!!
