Buzzing Bee Stamp Set by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
This is the last set, of the new release, that I was honored to
create with.  It is called Buzzing Bees.  It really is buzz'in!!
I created two cards and could have kept going.  Here
is a look at the first card ~

I used the Honeycomb Background to create the back of the card. The focal image
is double matted and then attached to the card front.  The focal images,
from the Buzzing Bees set, are stamped on white cardstock using Archival /Jet
Black ink.  The flower and bees are colored in with watered down
Distress Oxide ink. The sentiment is stamped on the focal and adhered to the card front
using dimensional adhesive.  The flower and leaves (Carved Leaves Vol.1) were
glittered with a glitter pen. The card front was splattered with black ink and
adhered to a folded card.

This was a fun card to create!!
Stamp the background, on a folded white card, using the Honeycomb
Background stamp.  Stamp the Queen Bee stamp, from the Buzzing Bees set, on
white cardstock.  Color in with Distress Oxide ink, watered down, mat on black
cardstock and then yellow.  I added brads to each corner of the Queen Bee focal.
The sentiment is stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with white embossing
powder.  The leaves are stamped out, with Archival/Leaf Green ink, trimmed out
and adhered to the card front.  Twine and black ink splats are added to complete
the card.
Such a great set!!!

Trick or Treat with Joy Clair & Imagine Crafts

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair blog.  We are doing a cross promotion
with Imagine Crafts and I'm loving the Versa Fine Clair ink. New favorite!!!
The turkeys and pumpkins are winners too!!!
I really love the pumpkins in this set.  Looks like pumpkins you see in a pumpkin patch.  They look perfect showcasing the "turkey".  I started creating this card by stamping the background out on mix media cardstock.  I used the Wood Background stamp by Joy Clair and the Versa Fine Clair/Nocturne ink by Imagine Crafts. The turkey and the pumpkins were created using the same technique.  I used Distress Oxide Ink and made washes (3 different inks) and then colored the mixed media paper to create a solid but not perfect colored paper.  I stamped the turkey and pumpkins on the colored paper and trimmed out.  The images were adhered to the card front using dimensional foam adhesive.  The sentiment was stamped and a wooden heart was added.  The turkey eyes were outlined using irRESISTible Embellisher/Wedding Dress by Imagine Crafts to complete the turkey.
Twine was added and then the card front was adhered to a folded card. To complete the card, irRESISTible Embellisher/Tuxedo Black by Imagine Crafts was splattered in random spots on the card.

Reindeer Small Stencil by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
Another festive holiday small stencil from
Darkroom Door.  I really love all of them.  You can find them HERE.
This one is called Reindeer Small Stencil.

I created two cards and they are similar but I used different mediums. I will
refer to them as the Gold card or the Silver card~

Gold card~
I used the negative of the stencil along with modeling paste by Viva Decor.
I used the back side of a pallet knife to apply the modeling paste to the
stencil.  I got it a little thin in one spot but I had already removed the
stencil, so I went with it.  I stamped the corner images, from
the ChristmasReindeer Set, with Archival/Jet Black ink.
The sentiment was stamped  using Archival /Watering Can,
trimmed out and adhered to the neck of the reindeer
Seam binding ribbon was added to the bottom of the card. The
card front was matted on gold foil cardstock then adhered to a beige
folded card.  The front of the card was splatted with white acrylic paint
to complete the card.

Silver card~
This card is created the same way, same steps just silver instead of gold. The
medium used on this one is glass Bead Glitter Gel by Faber-Castell.  It has a blue
tint to it and looks great with the silver foil paper that it is matted on.  It really
is sparkly too.  I hope you will take a look at the new release ~ good stuff!!!!

Take Flight Small Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!!
This is the forth small stamp in the new release by
Darkroom Door.  It is super cute and goes great with other
stamp sets in the Darkroom Door line. This one is called
Take Flight.

This card is an example of what I stated in the opening dialog~take a look.

I used the Butterflies Set along with the Take Flight small stamp.  They make a
great combination!  The background was created with Distress Oxides, watered
down and the card front dabbed in the ink.  I did one color at a time to create
layer ~ heat dry after each color.  The butterflies were then stamped on
the background. The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock and trimmed
into strips. I created a small butterfly charm from the Take Flight stamp and
attached to the card front.  Dimensional adhesive was used for this.  The card
front was adhered to a folded card to complete.

The background was created using the Sunshine Background stamp by
Darkroom Door.  Stamped with Archival / Jet Black ink. and matted on gray cardstock,
then light gray.  The sentiment was stamped on light gray cardstock
and then matted on black.  The sentiment was adhered using dimensional adhesive
to the card front. The large butterfly was stamped using Archival / Red Geranium
ink on the sentiment square and in random spots on the card front.
The card was matted on a red folded card. To complete the card twine was added
 along with red ink splats!

Knitting Background Stamp by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!
I am creating with the Knitting Background Stamp by Darkroom Door.
This coordinates with the
Hand Knitted set beautifully!!
My first project is a card using the Knitting Background as a background.
I was going for a camo background.  I used Distress Oxide inks to create the background.
The background stamp was stamped on white cardstock and trimmed down to
card size.  It was then placed in watered down Distress Oxide ink (3 different
colors of brown and greens).  I used a heat tool to speed up
the drying of the ink.  The yarn balls were stamped using the same colors of
ink.  They were wrapped in twine to match the ink.  The sentiment was
stamped out on Kraft cardstock and cut a part in strips.  The sentiment was
added to the card front with 3D adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

This is a really cute idea to do with children.  It is easy too!
Stamp the Knitting Background on Kraft cardstock with the color
of ink you want. I used Archival/Potting Soil.  Trace the mittens
on and then cut out.  Decorate with cotton and embellishments.  Cut two and
then glue twine or jute on one side.  You can cut two of each hand and then
the twine won't show on the back.  That is how these were created.  Speckle with
white acrylic paint for the snow effect.

Hand Knitted Stamps by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!
I have been creating with this fun set.  If you are a knitter this is for you.
My first project is a card that I used several of the knitting
images on.

I started by stamping the yarn ball image in different colors of
Archival  inks. With that being said you could create this card
using your favorite colors.  The knitting needles were stamped in Archival Jet
Black ink to create a border for the card front.  The sentiments were stamped
out on white cardstock and then punched out with a circle punch.  Yes, I used
a punch in the world of electronic cutters.  They still work!!!!
Mat the circles with coordinating cardstock.  Add to the card front and then
double mat with coordinating cardstock. Add to a folded card.  Complete the card with
twine and black ink splats

The next project is a couple of tags created from the images in the
Hand Knitted Set.  The background for the tag is created using
Distress Oxide inks and water.  The knitting needle stamp is stamped
Archival Jet Black on the tag.  The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock
and then double matted and attached to the tag front.  Super cute to add to a
 hand knitted item!

This knitting basket tag was created with Archival Jet Black ink, stamped
out on white cardstock.  The image was trimmed out and colored
with Distress Markers by Ranger.  The hand knitted by: was stamped
out on white cardstock and added to the basket.

Christmas Tree Stencil by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!!
Today I'm sharing the Small Stencil/Christmas Tree set.  It comes
with the negative and positive of the Christmas Tree.
  Very cool!

I kinda of went out of the box on this one~let me
show you.  They are really cute and no, they are not
hard to make.  Just your time!
I put together a few pictures to show how they were put
together.

The first two photos (side by side) are showing how to use stencil and how to
position the stencil to make it easy to cut them out.  They are the right way
for a tree front and a tree back.  Cut them out and glue a Popsicle stick
between the front and back of the tree.  Stick the Popsicle stick in the spool
hole. Cover the spool with pattern paper. Decorate the tree with stamped images
and moss.  The bottom photos side by side are the same project
except I used the Brushed Christmas set Vol.1 by Darkroom Door.  The only
difference it back of this tree will be Kraft cardstock, no image.  Speckle
the tress with white acrylic paint.  Add twine and small tags to the base of
the spool.

The card was created using the positive image of the
Christmas Tree as a mask.  I stenciled the Christmas Tree on the card front.
I then covered it with the positive image and stenciled the background
on using the Lrg. Mesh stencil by Darkroom Door.  The Christmas
Tree was covered so mesh pattern wasn't applied to the tree.   I then outlined
with a white uni-ball pen. A Star was stamped out and adhered to the top of
the tree.  The trunk of the tree is covered with some some twigs. The
sentiment was added.  To complete the card I speckled the tree with white
acrylic paint.
The envelope was created using Archival inks, the Small stencil/Christmas Tree
and the Merry Mail set.  This is really easy and fun to create a envelope
that will go perfect with the card.
Products used:
Darkroom Door: Small Stencil/Christmas Tree, Merry Mail,
Brushed Christmas Vol.1, Bird Life and mail Art.

Ranger: Archival inkYou can find all of these HERE.
other:Vintage spools, Popsicle sticks, sm. twigs, Kraft cardstock.

Turkey Talk with Joy Clair & Imagine Crafts

Hi guys!
It's my turn on the Joy Clair blog today. We are doing a cross
promotion with Imagine Crafts. I got to create with some new products
(to me) that I really like!!!

The background, for the card, was created using the Falling Leaves Background stamp by Joy Clair.  Each of the leaves were colored in with several different fall colors of Distress Oxide inks.  The Turkey was stamped out on a mix media type background created with watered down Distress Oxide inks.  The Turkey was trimmed out and then double matted on a background created using the Broken Brick Background by Joy Clair.  The size is about 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" .  Twine was wrapped around the bottom of the turkey and then adhered to the card front with dimensional adhesive.  All the stamping was done with Versa Fine Clair / Nocturne ink by Imagine Crafts.  The black splats are created with the irRESISTible Embellisher/Tuxedo Black by Imagine Crafts.

To complete the double mat the turkey focal in the center of the card.  Double mat on coordinating cardstock and adhere to a folded card.  This is such a fun set and has so many possibilities for creating cute "Thanksgiving" cards or place sitting cards for the special day.

To Be Jolly by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!!
I'm continuing to create with the new release by
Darkroom Door. Today I'm sharing small cards created using a
small stamp called To Be Jolly.

You can find all of the small stamps HERE!

These little cards are 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 .  They are created using scraps of
pattern paper.  I love creating with bits and pieces.  I trimmed the stamp
so the tree is separate from the text.  The text was rearranged and then
stamped on white or beige cardstock.  Double mat the sentiment and
adhere to the folded card.  Add twine.  Stamp small tree and trim
out. Tie the tree charm on the ends of the twine.

I arranged the small stamp like the photo shows and stamped it with
Archival /Jet Black and Leaf Green.  I added red berries with
acrylic paint and then speckled with black and white
acrylic paint.  The tags were created from scrap pieces of Kraft cardstock
and a corner rounder was used to create the rounded edges on
the bottom of the tag.

Honeycomb Background Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!
I'm creating with the newly released Honeycomb Background Stamp
by Darkroom Door.  It makes a perfect background for flowers and other
 nature inspired images.

I started this card by creating a background using Distress Oxide inks. I love the look
and it goes great with the Honeycomb Background stamp.

I used brown, orange and yellow color tones of Distress Oxide ink.
Apply the ink to a non-stick craft mat and spray with water.
Dip the card front into the ink mix and dry with a heat tool.
Repeat the process with each color until you get the look you like.
Stamp the flower(Carved Flowers) on white card stock and over stamp
the flower(Fine Flowers) adding the fine lines. Trim out and adhere
to the card front with 3D adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L.
Stamp the leaves out on cardstock and trim out. Stamp sentiment and mat
on yellow cardstock. Add to card front. Outline card with white pen. Add Buzzing Bee
to top of flower.

This background was stamped with the Honeycomb Background Stamp and
heat embossed using white/opaque embossing powder. Outline the edge of the card
with a white pen.  Stamp the sentiment and flower, double mat and adhere to the
card front. I used 3D foam adhesive squares by Scrapbook Adhesives
By 3L.
Double mat and add to a folded card.

Products used: Darkroom Door: Carved Leaves Vol.1, Carved Flowers,
Fine Flowers, Honeycomb Background Stamp, All Occasions and Buzzing
Bees.  All products can be found HERE.
