Retired is still good~ stamps that is!

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a card using Mixed Media 1 Designer Paper by
Blue Knight Stamps.  This is the first paper set I did for them.
I'm also adding in a retired stamp (it is a great filler stamp) called
Rejoice Always. It is a great background stamp.

I stamped on the designer paper using BG Branches, Buck, Doe and Fawn,
and Mixed Media Numbers.
The flower, for the focal collage, is also from
the retired set Rejoice Always.  I stamped some of the images from
the Mixed Media Numbers set and cut them out, and then
added a torn edge to them.  Going for a ticket look

Creating a collage cluster for the corner of the card.  The sentiment is
from the Reverse Sentiments set.  To complete the card white acrylic
paint is splattered using an old toothbrush.  Works great!!  The
sentiment is stamped and then adhered with dimensional adhesive.

This makes a great "art share" card!

A Valentine's Day Card~ creating with Topflight Stamps!

 Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Topflight Stamps Blog today.
I'm creating with Darkroom Door stamps and some

I started by creating a messy background, using Distress Oxides for the
color, over the Arrows background stamp by Darkroom Door. The
Fine leaves were stamped and then colored in with Distress Oxide ink.
I layered stamps from the Hearts and Label sets by Darkroom Door.
The butterflies were stamped  and colored and then cut out.  They were
added to the card front with dimensional adhesive.

Hi guys!!
I have a few projects to share using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
These projects are created with one of my favorite stamps by
BKRS!! It is called Land and Sea.
I love anything with shells on it :):)

I love everything about this stamp!! I used Distress Oxide inks to
create the background for the card.  Then stamped the image with
Archival/Jet Black.  Some extra images were cut out and added

Here is an Art Journal page created with Distress Oxide inks and stencils,
to create a "sea worthy" background for the shells!  The stencils are by

Meadow & Mountain card with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I've got a really vintage looking card to share today.
I love the look and so easy to achieve.

The background is Distress Oxides watered down.
I lay the paper into the mixture and then heat dry.  I repeat
until I get the look I'm looking for.  I use my Misti to align my stamp up
and then I'm able to re-stamp after the color is added to the stamped
scene. The water and Sunflowers are colored with Distress Oxides.
They perform just like watercolors!!

Winter Cardinals by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the Winter Cardinal
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This is a newly released stamp.
Guys, it is gorgeous!!!! We have Cardinals
here on the ranch, so this stamp was a must have!!!

Card #1
This is the card on the left.  I used Panpastels for the sky (clouds)
and coloring the scene.  When I was finished I decided to redo
the Cardinal on the fence from a him to a her.  Easy to do that, just erase the
color.  Then recolor with grey.  The snow and fence have Pixie Dust
for added sparkle!!
Card #2
This card is created using Distress Oxide inks.  I treated the inks like
watercolors. I used white acrylic paint for the snow on the fence and
tree.  Added a tag at the top for added interest.

Beautiful by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple of cards to share using the newly
released stamp called Beautiful by Blue Knight
Rubber Stamps.
If you are a lover of reading and
drinking a cup of tea or coffee, while enjoying a good
book, this is for you.
  Lovely stamp!!!
Card #1

The stamped image is on mixed media cardstock using the
Magnetic Ink Pad Handle by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps I love this thing!!
Holds my ink pad straight and gives me something to hold on to.  No more
dropped ink pad on my project!! The image is colored in with
Card #2

The background of this card is created using Distress Oxide inks.
Water the inks down and treat as watercolors.  They are amazing when
you keep adding layers of ink (drying between each color).  Really
cool backgrounds. The image is stamped and then colored in with 3
shades of Distress Oxide inks.

Foot Bridge by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!!
I have a couple of cards to share using the newly released stamp set
by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I really love the Foot Bridge Stamp.
The Reeds and Ducks Stamps (from last Friday)
works great with this scene.

Card#1

The card is stamped on mixed media cardstock and then colored
in with Panpastels. Panpastels are easy to work with and so
forgiving.  A white artist eraser will fix any mistakes~just erase
and start again.
This is how I started, water and sky in first.  I created a mask for the sky
using a small circle punch.  I laid it on my sky area and colored around it.
I then took it off and added the yellow sun.

Card#2

This card is stamped with Sketch Blue Distress Ink.  The sentiment is
stamped with Archival / Jet Black ink.  The card front is matted on a deep
blue cardstock.  The reeds (from the Reeds and Ducks
stamp set) are added in both bottom corners of the card.

Reeds and Ducks by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!!
I have a couple of cards to share with you
using the newly released Reeds and Ducks by
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   This stamp not only makes a great lake
scene but is also awesome for patches of grass in a
ranch scene.  Very clever!!!

Both cards are created with Panpastels.  Very easy to mark off your card
to create the water and sky.  I used the Cloud stencil to assist in
creating white fluffy clouds.

The Reeds and Ducks are stamped on a stamping platform so the silhouette
images can be re-stamped several times for a rich dark image.
Card #1
The second card is created in the same way.  I did not use a cloud stencil
just brushed straight across the card front for the sky and water.

Different shades of blues, to add waves in the water, were added.  Highlights were
added with red, orange and yellow Panpastels for the sunset sky.

Card#2
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps products: Reeds and Ducks, Birds 2
and Mini Greetings 2. Panpastels and Cloud stencil
Other products used: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, twine,
mini staples and cardstock.
