Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2018

Such a fun card to create.  I created the background with the Distress Oxide inks and dragging the cardstock through the different colors.  All of the shading was done using the PowderPuff Chalk inks by Quick Quotes.  The coffee cup was stamped out on matching paper from the Autumn Brilliance collection by Quick Quotes and then trimmed out and shaded.  The sentiment was added along with the small wood heart and twine. November Challenge with Darkroom Door~ Christmas card!

Hi guys!

It is almost the end of November but still a few days left to create a Christmas card

 using Darkroom Door stamps and share on the Inspiration page on FB.  

I created a simple Christmas card with a little fussy cutting, not much! The November

 challenge is about Christmas and Darkroom Door has some great sets.  You can view them HERE.

 The background was stamped on white cardstock and the other images were

stamped on white cardstock and cut out.   The background was matted on black

 cardstock  and then adhered to the red card front.  The images were arranged

 and adhered to create the "jolly" scene.   I added buttons and speckled the

 card front with black ink.  Add "Jolly" word and tie with twine.

Darkroom Door stamps:  Brushed Christmas Vol.1, Cacti, Christmas Script and Pine Leaf.

Ranger: Archival ink: Jet Black, Dandelion, Red Geranuim and Leaf Green.

Snowman Pallet Decor with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a decorated Snowman Pallet shape by Clear Scraps.  Great looking for your Christmas decor.  Snowmen love hanging out on front doors, under Christmas trees or by fireplaces.  See what you think~


To create this project you will need acrylic white paint to begin.  Water the paint down and paint everything except the hat. By watering the paint down it will cover more wood and give the project a distressed look.  The hat will be painted black and gray, then stenciled with some snowflakes. (Not showing up in the photo but they are there.)


Paint a carrot nose and a smiley face on the snowman's face.  The eyes are small round dots.  Dip the end of a paint brush into black paint and use that to place the eyes on the snowman.  Works great and makes them the same size, which is hard to do sometime.


Paint the chipboard holly with green (for the holly leaves) and red (for the holly berries).  Accent with white on the berries.  Adhere, when they are dry, on the hat.


I used the 6" Holly Fun stencil to add the holly around the snowman's neck.  I used a soft foam brush to apply the paint to the stencil.  Dab off the paint.  To much paint will go under the stencil.


Add the sticks for the arms.  Paint the mini Tree pallet shape and add it to the bottom of the snowman.  I placed holes in the top of the hat with the crop-a-dile.  So easy this way.  Speckle with black paint.  I speckle using an old tooth brush.  I like to have control on where the paint is going.

Fall Fun with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a Pumpkin inspired scrapbook page using Autumn Brilliance by Quick Quotes.  The photos were grouped by using the My Image Garden by Canon.  It comes with the iP8720 Canon Printer that I will be printing from.

I love scrapping the entire event on one page.  Sometimes it is to much but doing it this way I still get all the photo frames and cute faces all on one page.

The photos were grouped on 8x10 photo paper by Canon and printed out.  They were cut into photo strips and mounted on grey paper from the Autumn Brilliance collection.  The Image Garden program allows you to zoom in or zoom out, to catch cute moments that are in the photos.

Some of the pictures in these frames are close up images from the picture.  I really thought that was a super cool feature.  I loved that I was able to single out a cute face picture and the finger pointing to the sky.

The focal photo was printed out as a 4x6 and then matted with the grey paper from the Autumn Brilliance collection.

The embellishments were stamped out using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.

Pumpkin Wood Accordion Album by Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with the Pumpkin Wood Accordion Shaker Album by Clear Scraps.  What a fun product to create with.  Loved using the Pumpkin Shaker Album for recipes~yes, it worked great!!!

The back  of the front cover was covered with pattern paper.  The top frame is painted with a thinned out orange acrylic paint.  The stem is painted with brown acrylic paint.  Let all the paint dry and then sand the front frame for a distressed look.  The shaker part has sequins and buttons in it for some sparkle. All layers are glued together and then set aside to dry.  The front frame was then sealed with an acrylic mat sealer.  Looks harder than it is !!!  So easy~


The script "Family" word is embossed with some chunky embossing powder.  It looks gold in the photo but is more of a sand color.  Beacon adhesive was used to adhere the embellishments to the front of the Pumpkin Shaker Album.


The inside pages were painted with watered down acrylic paint and then sanded for that distress look.  I used vintage library card envelopes to hold the recipes in.  The fronts of the envelopes are decorated with stickers.  The album is tied together with jute string.  Super cute and tons of fun!!!

More cards using the Art stamps by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!! 

A little late but still Tuesday :).

I have another set of Brush & Art cards to share using the Artist Palette

 and Artist Brushes sets by Darkroom Door.

These cards are easy to create, just need ink sprays and stamps.

To create this card spray colored ink spray on the card front and heat dry.  Stamp the image on the color and let dry.  Speckle with other ink spray colors.  Add sentiment.

This one is created the same way just used different colors of ink spray.

  I used the same colors to create a set of cards.  Quick and easy technique used to make

 a cute set of cards that go together!

Pumpkin Pallet Decor with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a cute and fun project using the Pumpkin Pallet shape by Clear Scraps.  This is one of two pallet pumpkins Clear Scraps makes.  The pumpkins together would make great fall decor for your home.  One pumpkin is pretty fun too!  Let me show you~



Instructions:
1. Sand the pallet shape lightly before adding color.  Wipe down with soft rag.
2. Water color down so it looks like a stain mix.  Apply to pallet and let dry.




      3.  Paint stem (same technique) and let dry.
      4.  Add vine (free hand or with a stencil)



       5.  Stencil word in center of pallet. I use foam round brushes and dab off paint. Less is more
 and in this case.  If you use to much paint, it will bleed under the stencil and make a mess.
       6.  Sand pallet lightly for a distressed look. Wipe with soft cloth.
       7.  Speckle with black watered down paint.
       8.  Seal project with acrylic mat or gloss sealer.

A Scrapbook Page with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!

Thanks for hanging in there with me, I'm back home!!

Been a rough couple of weeks. So glad things are looking better

 (if you follow me on FB you understand)~

I have a scrapbook page to share with you using Joy Clair stamps

 and some great photos. 

I loved doing research on this car.   So cool!!!!

Great car and great story to go with it.  My son returned the car to original owner

 after he tracked it to being in Texas.  So happy he (the son) got the car

(that belonged to his father) back.
